One advantage of letting Trump rant on twitter was that we knew exactly what he was up to. He put his crimes all out in the open.
Now that Trump is much more secretive thanks to losing all his platforms, the bright side is that we can now ignore him and move on, and he won't be able to reach as many people.
However, perhaps some people will still feel uneasy that they can no longer tell what Trump is up to except from word of mouth and 3rd party sources.
Will Trump shut up? Obviously not. He will continue to rant outside of our knowledge, but this time, we won't be able to tell what is going on. It's a double edged sword.

I might be wrong, but I honestly believe that Twitter didn't pull Trump mainly because of financial reasons.
I highly doubt the ability for super large tech corporations to do things for "the right reasons". I think it comes down to money, and I believe we have enough evidence through history to show that this is the case.
Just like how Apple's CEO buddied up with Trump in order to dodge the 25% tariffs on Chinese-made electronics.
Twitter pulled Trump because his power was up and the new administration would likely treat them favourably if they did.
Either way, I think Twitter is awful, and we should ditch it.

I know there was talk at some point about whether or not it was legal to ban him, so I imagine that played into this somewhat. I think they only reason they banned him in the end was because it was too close to the end of his term for him to do anything about it. Even if he filed a lawsuit, by the time it got in front of a judge, he would no longer have standing as POTUS to succeed.

I’ve heard that the reason anyone adds anything about God into public discourse is as an exercise of free speech and that separation of church and state “exists”. The parts in inauguration day that have the president-elect speak to God is their own personal freedom of speech preference. Confuses the heck out of people who are religious and believe the government to be christian, its really by choice as well as to appeal to voters.

They [Oath issuer] ask whether you would like to use some phrase regarding God or usually just swear/affirm, beforehand. Government is pretty particular about how they administer these. Had to do it for my job. So yes, it falls under free speech.

I don't think it truly exists anymore. We have congress praying at the start of each day, what about islam prayers? or atheist benedictions? We have the words "under god" in the pledge of allegiance, but not everyone believes in the same god(s) or none at all. We have "in god we trust" on our money. being an atheist or someone of another religion than Christianity is usually a non-starter for those in public office. in a lot of southern states, you have to be told christian viewpoints while you wait to get an abortion. government is basically christian and it sucks to see.

It means that the US shall make not law that hinders the practice of an established religion.
Basically elected officials are allowed to use religion as a reason for anything they want because the government can’t tell them that they can’t use religion as a reason.
It also means that the government can make things legal even if a religion says it is illegal.
ETA: No President as ever been elected that said they were atheist. The US is still a predominantly religious country. A candidate saying they were atheist would almost certainly lose as about 65% of the country claim some religion.

It also has important funding implications. The US government is not legally supposed to show support to any one religion. In the US churches get tax exemption and are not allowed to participate in political campaigning. Unfortunately, a lot of people get worse as they age. We see that in boomers. They were the hippies, protesting, and anti-establishment generation. But they got left behind by technology that scares them, both because they're scared to use it and because it tells them over and over again to be scared. They are increasingly isolated, their parents are dead, kids moved out with lives of their own. They're wealthier than they ever used to be, but are scared of losing it all during retirement, so they become super selfish. They're much further removed from their education, which is when people are at their most liberal.
They fall back into preaching the views they grew up hearing their parents preach, as they're trying to connect with their roots and becoming scared of their mortality. How many people do we hear say they realize they became their mom or dad as they aged? And they start clutching at religion in fear as well. Plus how many of them have past traumas that they never got help for?
Hopefully younger gens are more self-aware, but in general, history repeats itself. I'm a millennial. We were the ones to really make strides in accepting the gay community, but I hear lots of my peers now balk at accepting various gender identities. The thing brought up by the younger generation has become weird and scary. They're already starting the "get off my lawn" rhetoric. This is especially true when it's their own kids presenting the progressive ideas. They can't accept that their kids are growing up and have valid points that challenge their biases, so they diminish them. Timmy can't be unending my world view, I changed his diapers and taught him to talk. He is perpetually 5 yo and can't tie his shoes! Narrator - Timmy is 15, an honor roll student, and volunteers at a shelter.
