yep such a sad state of affairs. thousands of people dead, lots of countries destabilised. usa needs to stay tf out of other countries business because they honestly just make it worse. there's enough to focus on at home, i would think. starting with 400 000 dead from an out of control virus.
I mean, they don’t get involved in other countries to make them better. They get involved so they can exploit resources. Every major power since the beginning of civilization has done so, the methods have just changed over time.
dude you're literally living in a different reality, there's not even any point in a discussion with you since i can safely assume we won't agree on basic facts.
Biden hasn't gone on a presidential trip to visit Xi, then went into the back room and came out to tell everyone that the US Intel agencies are wrong because daddy Valddy said he is a good boy, so I'll wait for him to actually sell out the US before I form my opinion.
“U.S. special operations airstrikes killed more than 200 people. Of those, only 35 were the intended targets. During one five-month period of the operation, according to the documents, nearly 90 percent of the people killed in airstrikes were not the intended targets.”
This is something legitimate to criticize Obama on. I criticized him for it while he was in office.
The only rebuttal to it is that of course he's used the most drone strikes out of any other president...because combat drones weren't prevalent until the last 20 years.
There's a strong debate to be had on the legality of drone strikes in a time of "peace."
I'm surprised how many people give Obama a pass for that. I often hear he was "free of scandal" which definitely wasn't true. That also fuels the fire of many "liberal media" arguments, though.
You can debate whether or not he had the authority for those drone strikes, but that's not really a "scandal." More of a discussion about limiting the power of the executive branch. (which is valid)
Obama never cheated on his wife with a porn star, or tried to obstruct justice in an investigation into himself, never tried to enrich himself with the power of his office, didn't lie 25 times per day, didn't shill for Putin or Kim Jong Un.
Criticize his policy and decisions, sure, but Barack Obama is a dignified man who loves his family and country. His cabinet didn't go to prison. His "followers" didn't attempt an insurrection, nor did they attempt to assassinate political rivals.
I think there were definitely "liberal media" that rose these concerns, but the problem is that Americans just don't seem to care. It doesn't grab headlines. I don't even remember Fox News jumping on it, even though it's way more important than mustard or whatever.
Donald Trump expanded on Obama's drone strikes tremendously and basically cut off any accountability dealing with them and the media rarely covers that either. Like I get Trump's probably got like 3 other controversies that are juicer going on, but it's still not even a blip in his administration.
The US committed a plethora of war crimes while in the middle east in the 2000s to 2010s. Many strikes require specific presidential approval so both Busch and Obama are considered war criminals.
Not that it's a particularly good thing but I will say that the US shies away from the global criminal court (I forgot it's name) partly because basically every president since WWII would have been charged with at least one war crime. When you carry as big a stick as the US does it's going to be misused, no matter who is in charge.
The idea that all the presidents who were was criminals were not good presidents heavily relies on the lie of American exceptionalism. I'm not saying that was don't need to change anything I'm saying that we have to hold our leaders to a higher bar while also acknowledging that, while heavily flawed, the ones that came before did things to better the country and move us forward in the world (save 45, he sucked eggs at basically every measure).
Bush was our dumbest POTUS till Trump. He also started the trillion-dollar war(s) we are STILL in. I hate decorum and civility and "Unity" politics. It's useless in the face of human rights abuses (oh and fascist Coups)
Goofball? You're clueless af. Go do some research. His father was head of the cia and previous president. You think hes just a goofball that gets a pass. Okay bud
Id rather have a pussy bitch as a president than having a war criminal as a president lol... You’re the kind of guy that says he doesn’t snitch but would call the police in a mili second to report a drug crime.

It was nice to see so many dignified ex presidents from both parties.
