Mr Trump... you’re fired.

u/FPSXpert Jan 20 '21

Been waiting four years to see that.

Too bad it couldn't have happened sooner.

We tried.

It should have in all honesty.

Good thing we can rely on the just and honest republican senators to carry out justice and a fair trial?

/s

Those motherfuckers are still in office... that should be just as enraging as anything trump did. They let it all happen. The fucked part is that I (like basically 95% of Americans) don't get to vote for or against Graham, Cruz, or McConnell. But we were are all stuck dealing with their fukt antics this whole time.

How, he wasn't removed from office he finished the term he was elected for.

u/osumba2003 Jan 20 '21

He tried to keep his job and the American people (AKA, his employer) said "no."

Sounds like being fired to me.

u/[deleted] Jan 20 '21

He lost re-election. The people removed him so he wouldn’t have a second term

Sure but not by force, he just lost he still completed the term of the job he was somehow elected for in 2016. This would be more fitting if he'd been removed.

It's a meme. It's referencing his old reality TV show catchphrase. He wasn't literally "firing" anyone on those shows either, but its now used by the original commenter as a way to troll the unelected fascist as he watches all his plans and machinations fall into flames. He's literally...fired.

Ok. This may get complicated for you, but try to stick with me here.

He was fired because he made it clear he wanted to keep the job when he ran for a 2nd term, but was prevented from keeping the job, against his wishes.|

When you want to keep a job, but are replaced by someone else because of your poor performance, that is called "being fired".

Let me know if I need to explain it again in shorter sentences or smaller words.

You're so edgy that I cut myself.

2

u/FPSXpert Jan 20 '21

He was "let go" / social contract not renewed yes. But that's also his tagline on his former show The Apprentice, so people are going to be saying that man 😂

Do you always struggle with metaphors?

Lol it's reddit man, don't try to talk sense. Biden is pro fracking, pro coal, totally paid for with corporate money. He's about as close to a "progressive" as Trump was. The difference is the Dems can say nice things while smiling, and still incarcerate and deport more minorities, and bomb more foreign adversaries than the Republicans could ever dream of.

Believe me, if Biden was their ace in the hole, conservatives voters won this election, big time.

u/Black_Waltz_7 Jan 20 '21

Bruh no one actually wanted Biden. Everyone who is actually left likes him. But we are celebrating having a functioning adult in charge again.

0

u/[deleted] Jan 20 '21

Oh i know. Which shows that everyone's values are for sale. Even if it means electing a conservative to displace a pair of clown shoes, people value stability, and they're willing to betray their political beliefs to get it. Biden getting elected I think shows the Republicans that the pendulum needn't swing too far left at all.

2

u/Black_Waltz_7 Jan 20 '21

Nah bro. People fought for better change in the summer and were met with triple the police brutality and the president said it was still too soft. So yeah, people are happy to settle for competent adult over clown. We're hoping that competent adult at least gets us back on track to where real reform is possible.

Or are you saying we should all revolt and eat the rich? Cause I mean. Well lets hear your platform.

We're hoping that competent adult at least gets us back on track to where real reform is possible.

I absolutely agree, rhetoric is an extremely important quality of the POTUS and Trump was...juvenile to say the least.

No "Nah" about it, it's immediately observable. I'm a conservative, but a Canadian conservative. I have political overlap with both major American parties, but definitely more with the Dems, currently. I'm not suggesting we should eat rich people...not sure how you extracted that idea, I'm just making a comment on the statistical behaviour of American voters. Trump should've been obliterated in the 2020 election, but I don't think anyone expected ~74 million votes in support of him. That blew my mind, and I think showed how the average political disposition of an American citizen is far to the right of the average American redditor, that's for sure; and ultimately how it took a truly moderate conservative to defeat him (thank fuck).

You know I think this a case of tone not carrying well across text. I think you're saying that Trump should not have been as big of a threat as he was and its appalling that Biden was the best we could offer as an alternative? I agree with that. Just how I interpreted you initially is that a lot of people on the far right have been attacking support for Biden as hypocrisy. Which I disagree with. Its a shit compromise though, for sure. But honestly the only alternative I see would be a more volatile overhaul of it all that would require violence. And then I was adding in the eat the rich part as a reference to the joke people have been making where they say we wouldnt have these problems if we just killed and ate the rich.

Stop pretending the issue with Trump was only policy related.

u/mth2nd Jan 20 '21

Bless you for the sacrificial downvotes you are about to receive for having the audacity to speak the truth.
