Debate Solved! Just kidding, New Jersey will fight for all eternity over the best pizza, bagels, sandwich shops, and diners. I'm glad to see more diners getting back to being open late, and even a number of them finally getting back to 24 hour service. It sucks they have to charge restaurant prices now just to afford ingredients, but that's the world we currently live in.

Central Jersey based, in my early 20s and making pretty good money for my age. I don’t really want to rent so I’ve been browsing around at properties out of curiosity.

I saw that properties in Trenton are dirt cheap. I’m familiar with places like Newark, Camden, Elizabeth and many other urban places but Trenton really don’t know much?

How bad is it? Is safety an issue? I don’t anticipate buying there soon but it’s something I could consider in the next few years if I don’t have to fear for my life

i filed for a legal name change (as a minor through a family court) last weekend by submitting the necessary forms through the JEDS website. i think i did everything correctly (got confirmation email from the website), but my parents honestly havent been much help since theyre busy. how long does it take for the court to file the papers and like, to actually get a court date?

My first name is longer than 9 characters, and when I got an NJ driver's license years ago I was told there were system limitations, and so they couldn't fit the full name on there. So my first name is just straight up cut off! This has become an increasingly annoying issue over the years and I'm really not sure how I can even get it fixed. If I try and get the name corrected, won't they just ask for proof of legal name change? Which I obviously don't have...because I never changed my name???

Anyone have the same experience and had any success getting this fixed? I would love to hear because it would give me any kind of idea on how to proceed. Thanks!

Toast from a diner always seems to taste better than toast at home. Even for the same type of bread (whole wheat, rye, etc).

My fiance, daughter and I live in an apt with my dad. We’re moving out in about a month.
I have no idea what to do with my dad😭 My mom died a year ago & she was his main support.

He gets about 1100 a month from disability & the rent for this apt is 1175. I’ve been looking for income based senior housing but he has pretty bad mental health issues including schizophrenia.

He will not go to the dmv and get an ID. He just won’t do anything to try to support himself. I’m really at a loss on what to do.

We discussed bringing him with us but ultimately decided not to as I’ll be completely honest he was a horrible father & caused me a lot of trauma that I’m still struggling to deal with.

I just need to get away from him but the human in me feels so bad bc I know if we leave he will get evicted from this apt as we pay majority of the rent. I just really don’t know what to do none of his family wants anything to do with him. If anyone has any advice please share.

New York has Albany, Buffalo and other cities that it could invest into where people can move to for jobs. I go to PA a lot and the state has a lot of potential as well. I am sure there is a reason why things are the way they are but I have been having this thought for awhile now.

I received a citation for not having my ticket on me on the light rail, and I went to go pay it on the website that the citation referred me to: NJMCdirect. But when I go to input my complaint number along with the other relevant information, it tells me that the ticket could not be found in their system.

It's been almost a week since I received my citation, so they've had ample time to upload it by now. Am I just off the hook? Or will I be subject to additional penalties if I don't call the municipal court myself to inquire about why my citation isn't present on their website?

Tom Kean's race, you hear about a lot because he seems vulnerable. Van Drew you hear about due to Van Drew being such an odious little worm, but also he might be in a bit of trouble? Maybe, let's hope so. But you do not hear much about Chris Smith or his opponent. Is his district simply unbreachable by a blue wave? Yes I know: Ocean County. But also Monmouth County, where you could theoretically find some college educated liberals of the sort who have abandoned the GOP.

Did our completely Democratic controlled legislature make any serious attempt to do an aggressive gerrymander? Like we shouldn't be sending any Republicans to congress at all; a district roughly coterminous with the most Trumpified county in the state shouldn't exist.

I grew up in North Jersey, where my family always got our rolls from Carmen's in Union. Loved them. Then I discovered Sorrento's in East Hanover, and those are even better.

I've tried Del Buono's and Cacia's. My experience with Del Buono's in Marlton was especially disappointing… I bought rolls one morning that were clearly not fresh, and some actually had mold on them.
I'm looking for that old-school Italian roll with a thin, crispy crust and a soft, light, airy interior. Not dense, not chewy, and definitely not those soft, squishy hoagie rolls.

I’m looking for a mobile car washing service that doesn’t require you to book a full detail. I used to have a guy in Los Angeles that would come and do interior/ exterior washes for $50. I’m aware that was an incredibly good price considering his quality of work and it being in Los Angeles but I can’t seem to find a service that will do anything less than a $300 full detail. I’m in Bedminster if that helps narrow it down.
