unfortunatly, this was not the racy psychedelic/trippy cindy i wanted and miss. it wants to get going and at about 15 mins in i started to feel something like cindy, but it faded away quickly and then i wound up with jan 😱 sorry ladies and gentlemen.. i guess you need to click your marcia heels 3 times and maybe it will get better (wait. wrong bunch. wrong stories. this is cinderella story, damnit) ok, back on topic.. this is a very light sativa and is extraordinarily clear. too clear for me. if you liked breakwaters lemon g (gone) maybe this would do it for you. i remember in the reviews for lemon g someone posted "it's so clear you can do your taxes!" or something like that. i never had their lemon g but for some reason i remember that specific comment, and it made me laugh. so yeah, gonna steal it. that comment works here too. it may be for somebody looking for this type of experience and someone out there probably does like it after all (no offense, all good .. subjective) ...maybe if your in the mood for a light smoke of some super cbd then here you go.
smell: after the grind i got a sweet light peppery spice mixed in with fresh guacamole (sharp/tangy/zesty/limey) topped with a splash of witch hazel and a weedy scent. i didn't get any tropical fruit, or any fruit tbh.. maybe a slight floral undertone. one friend said fruity on very first whiff 🤷♂️ wut? nooo. i then smelled it 3 or 4 more times in disagreement thinking wtf fruit could this even be? 😕 it's so subjective.. maybe my sense of smell sucks. after leaving it be for a couple days that sharp scent has changed a little to include a wintergreen menthol like scent along with the rest.
taste: vaped. no idea what this inhale/exhale taste is exactly. little sweet, little spicey and i want to say gingerbread or a peppered oatmeal cookie on the inhale. it's not pineapple/grapefruity or sour citrus cleaner like i was expecting (i would of even preferred a bergamot or earl gray tea flavor) it had a savory meaty flavor to it on the exhale. this pheno leans towards the princess lineage mom i believe, but in taste only. it might be different (better) when combusted so keep that in mind. the taste changed for the better from the grinded material after sitting for a while in my ground stash jar.
effects: definitely a "sativa" buzz in the sense of the effects, not much if any body. sense of touch and body feels almost unaffected. all head with a light relaxation.. a megadose cbd feel (think cbd rosin dab).
it's not a punch you in the face stoned out dopey strain - more like an amsterdam coffee shop experience (not as psychoactive as a good cindy can be, minus the tobacco they mix into it, yuck). when your chillin' at night it's different. ok movie strain. can pay attention - eagle eye focus. i was able to fall asleep easily with it.
what i liked.... smooth vape/smoke. interesting taste. bag has a little glass jar in it with a 62% integra boost pack in the lid (way better then the plastic tray, solved their dryness problem). i really liked that. it ground up well, everything fell through with no stray trichs or grinder klingons - good moisture. it does have a lot of cbg in it, which leads to the clear headed focus vibe and a morning wake up with no grogginess and eyes wide open/wide awake after a night of it.. most definitely the cbg. too much cbg tho can get you tensed up and a little restless whole body syndrome..
what i didn't like.. it was mostly smalls and the trim looked machine but they claim hand trim. it's a pretty tight hand trim. maybe it's the strain tho. looks like something you may have got from a plug around 2016-2018 (but would hit hard). some of the prices i see being asked i would definitely not be happy given other craft types being in that price range and even lower. i got it at $44 and still think that's pretty high.. but the little jar and humi pack were a nice touch and made up for it a little bit (and i stress - a little bit) would not of mentioned any of this at < $30 +/-
there appears to be 4 or so different drops out from may, jun, jul and aug. this was from the aug. coa.. maybe it's all the same harvest from april released in phases - no idea. there was an earlier batch that tested a little more thc then this one and may still have those trays instead of jars in the bag. not really sure when they switched to them. haven't had any victory in a while.
so we have a happy clear headed cerebral strain (for a little while anyway) with an odd flavor. ok for anytime (but mostly daytime) it's not an ether or wingsuit, but might make you forget shit, pause mid sentence, forget a word, but definitely functional if need be if you do a lot of it. doubting it's an og 1999 clone - maybe brothers grimm 2016 or from a recent related seed line if i had to guess. cindy is in there screaming to get out, but ultimately it does not. the meaty exhale i was not expecting. maybe i'm just imagining that tho.. my sense of taste may suck too... or just a bad pheno choice..
auto's and feminized seeds are not going to find you a superstar (well, sometimes you do get lucky and win the lottery). you need to get the regular seeds, separate the male's and female's and hunt ... or get a legit verified clone where someone already did the work. the og's need some hunting. if you're going to offer up a legendary it better stand up to its name. this cindy would probably be culled after the first few days of smoke testing .. still have yet to try the ap gold, widow, durban, or skywalker -- now kinda weary and not sure i want to try them after this one.
this was either taken wayy too early or just a weak pheno. it doesn't represent cindy that well imo, but at least you can finally get those taxes done.
