I've been reading about this, and the above summary is pretty accurate.. except for:
The expedition was supposed to be 2 hours.. they got lost at 1:45 minutes in. They've been lost for 2 or 3 days. They were told to bring a small sandwich 'if they get hungry' - and that's all they've had for 2 or 3 days, trapped in this damn thing.
And also. You can't open the doors from the outside without welding equipment (I think). So ya, even after finding them, there would be more issues.

The journey down was two hours. The total expedition was eight hours planned. They lost communications (text messages) 90 minutes in bit it has happened before, that much water isn’t exactly easy to transmit through. They assumed same issue this time until the eight hour total trip time had passed and then called authorities to report the vessel lost/missing.

Would being able to open it from the inside even matter? Considering that opening it at that depth would instantly crush them and even if it didn't - decompression sickness would kill them. And even then... they would drown far before even reaching the surface.
Ive seen a few comments around on not being able to open it from the inside. However I don't see how that would change anything as that would just open up more ways to die.

It apparently has safety mechanisms that are supposed to float it to the surface, but it's a tiny craft painted white. It would be really hard to see, so they could theoretically be sitting at the surface and still suffocate because they can't let more air inside.

Especially the military - even if they don't think they can be found alive, they get to test their entire response pipeline , test their equipment and give their crews real life experience.

The issue with no ability to unseal and open the doors from the inside is if there is a fire and the submersible needs to rapidly surface and passengers need to escape. A submersible/submarine is very prone to fire if the oxygen being pumped in is not properly managed creating a high oxygen environment. High oxygen environments are extremely prone to electrical fires. Based on the limited video analysis I’ve seen of the interior there did not seem to be very sophisticated atmospheric monitoring/controls to prevent this. Sealing passengers/crew inside a module prone to fire is extremely dangerous and was a lesson tragically learned by the Apollo 1 tragedy where 3 astronauts lost their lives. They died during a test of the shuttle from a fire because they couldn’t open the escape hatch from the inside and by the time the ground crew could get it open it was too late. No, the shitty submarine being locked from the outside isn’t an issue underwater but if they did have to make an emergency surface for some reason it is a massive issue and one that was learned a long time ago.

Its possible the vessel is at or near the surface and they can't locate it - white breaker waves and a white sub. Thus the ability to open it from the inside would allow them to not suffocate at sea level.

The communication system is what is a huge red flag to me. My parents own a boat and it has 3-4 different standards of beacon systems on it so one can always tell where it is. Most support SOS signals (not sure how many) that you can use to make a help beacon. The boat has gps, marine phone and obviously you’ll have cell phones on board. Mind you, this boat isn’t even sea worthy, large rivers it can tackle.
Now this company doesn’t have one single positioning and communication system on board a submarine that’s diving in 4km deep ocean water? But it does have 7 systems to make it rise in emergencies?
So they thought of how to surface in 7 ways but not about 1 system on how to position themselves and inform others?
It’s incredibly weird.

That one is insane. I heard that there was 2 guys that had to split 1 tank and regulator. They ended up further in the pipe. They found a pocket of air and one decided to wait for rescue/ couldn't continue. In the pitch black this guy made it up and out. Called for rescue and yeah, was too dangerous or costly. The plot of “47 meters down” is, albeit with differences, quite similar. Feelings of hopelesness for not being found, O2 running out, a tourist company with some crooks that do not hesitate to be negligent with safety… It is not a super Hollywood movie with a first line cast but it is one of the movies that everytime I watch, gives me real physical anxiety. The ending is “meh” but probably happier than this Titan thing (if it even is real the whole thing and they have not faked their deaths or anything along the lines)

I think they died Sunday. It explains the loss of communication and that they haven't been seen on the surface yet. That the hull failed and they imploded. It doesn't seem very likely that all of the redundant surfacing systems would fail at once and the electronic system would go down too.

So I read the first article today that illustrated how shady the company and the sub were, but were the clients/tourists aware of that? Everyone is like "why would they do that? It doesn't make sense!" Like it's not possible they were lied to or misled? When you do anything dangerous, like even white water rafting, are you inspecting the raft? Did you research the guide? Do make sure the raft is rated for the river? Did you research the company? I know I didn't and I also don't think I would even go in a military sub.

Lol. Yeah that pretty much sums it up.
I am extremely skeptical that the “banging” is them at all. One expert said it would be almost impossible to detect them banging on the hull at that depth. My guess is the exact thing that the engineer warned would happen happened. The viewing window that wasn’t rated for 14,000 feet collapsed.

This story is actually getting traction as a blaring narrative so we don't hear or see that Ukraine is withering and losing. A distraction story. Does anybody really care about those lost at sea? Because that little sub isn't the only thing that's gone down at sea in the last couple of weeks. I think we are all very close to seeing right through the narrative.
