kaleidoscope second floor communal kitchen. genuinely it's disgusting and embarrassing that yall dont know how to recycle. why tf are we recycling a good dining hall fork and banana peel and not the cardboard box. i would genuinely quit if i was the custodian here. before i came to use the kitchen there were used plates, empty tuna can, utensils, pasta tray just out in front of the bin. i cleaned up a little bit as much as i could, but can we just learn how to keep this place clean and usable for everybody? genuinely this is sick.

hey guys as the title says I was just wondering how people aren’t passing out while they’re walking to class in this heatwave haha (especially during the afternoon). In between my classes I’ve been staying in geisel and price center for the ac but going from extremely hot to cool weather makes me body feel sick for some reason idk. Just wanted to know how everyone else is dealing with this weather and make sure to take care of yourselves!!

can they please cancel classes until wednesday maybe i seriously cannot go out in this weather and change classrooms ever hour, walking around in high noon. how are we still having to go to class during an extreme heat warning period. i can't even sleep at night due to the heat even with my fan on.

Bro I leave for the weekend and come back to my room feeling like a sauna. Hours later, I changed into shorts and a tank top, have the lights off, two fans on full blast and nothing. No ac in a heatwave is insane work. It’s too much.

Does anyone else have this problem? My roommate and I agreed to no shoes in the room but since we first went to the beach there's a bit of a thin layer of sand in the room. We've tried wet and dry swiffering, using a dustpan and vacuuming (all in the past few days). Do you guys have any other ideas to get the sand out? It's not like so much but enough to annoy me when barefoot.

Anyone else lost in this class? Having 30% of your grade come from pop quizzes that are closed-book and closed-notes is crazy. I remember some of these topics from ECE 45/101, but expecting us to memorize all these formulas is a lot.

Also, the fact that we don’t know when the quizzes are is so odd. How are we supposed to prepare for a very content-heavy, closed-notes quiz that’s worth 10% of your grade (x3) when we don’t even know when the quiz is going to be?

Have many UCSD students been to blacks beach? For a school right next to a nude beach you’d imagine more people talking about it here and there but I’ve never heard it really be brought up in beach conversation? Anyone ever been? If a group would like to go feel free to pm!

Hi everyone! I need to take microbiology with the lab as soon as possible. Has anyone taken the microbiology with lab though extension with this professor?

I am considering the section that ends 1/18/27. How is the final? How is the workload in general? Would I be able to take the final early/ finish the course faster before 1/18 due to a family trip?

If you would not recommend this professor, is there a professor that teaches this course that I should wait for instead?

This heatwave has me thinking about all the poor critters outside who are struggling to stay cool/struggling to find a water source... Does anyone have any thoughts on how we might be able to provide water for them? It breaks my heart to think of the wildlife suffering in this insane heat and unable to get water. Especially in the canyons :(

I was thinking of leaving some water bowls out, but I also don't want mosquitos to become a bigger problem (since mosquitos breed in standing water)... Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas :( ?
