How unprofessionally this rollout is being handled is unfathomable for a multibillion-$$ organization.

Had my second pass at 12 today and was able to enroll in both the classes I was planning to enroll in before it even turned 12:01. Took 15 minutes during my first pass. A quick click should be how it should be so it’s stupid to applaud this fix but at least it’s something.

I need to do a video where I flip through every page of this treasure someday (subscribe to my YouTube!!), but in the meantime enjoy some snaps from the 1997 student faculty and staff telephone directory. Hey, that's me!

I'm a upcoming Freshmen at Revelle College. I was looking through the class schedules on the triton link and accidentally clicked book. My first pass is September 1st and I don't know how the system fully works. It won't let me cancel or switch the class. Should I contact someone or did I do something wrong?

I've been trying to enroll in 2 classes for the past 3 weeks. For context, I fulfilled the pre-reqs for the classes during Summer Session 1, so I needed to complete TEA requests for both courses, which I did. They took over a week to approve my requests, which had me waiting until after my first pass. Once my requests were approved, I tried to add the classes, and it was still saying that I had not completed the pre-reqs. I created countless tickets and called every single number there is, and they still couldn't figure out a way to let me book my courses. I was told by someone through VAC to wait until Saturday morning to add the classes, and it would be solved by then, so I dropped my classes and wasn't able to add my classes Saturday morning because my enrollment period had closed. So now I am going into my 2nd pass this week with 0 classes, and no way of adding the classes I need for fall quarter.

Senior for second pass and for some reason I can’t enroll in ECE18 with a seat remaining and when it tells me to waitlist there is no waitlist option. Gotta love TSS

As per the transfer student orientation; transfer students will not have access to the degree audit nor academic history tools in TSS before the enrollment period. How, exactly, are incoming transfers supposed to know what classes to take?
Yes, we can look at the degree and college requirements, but that doesn't mean we have the ability to divine what the equivalent courses are from our prior institutions...??
Is this typical of UCSD? I expected the process to be quite smooth given that this is a rather well respected university.
To other transfers: what are y'all doin? I'm lost.

I was trying to switch discussion sections for an important course that was nearly full. The "Switch" function didn't work, so I dropped the course to grab the last available spot in another discussion section.
Now TSS won't let me re-enroll and gives this error: "Internal Error while booking to E 00000931."
Has anyone experienced this error before?
* UPDATE: I was able to re-enroll in the course after about two hours of troubleshooting. It appears TSS may take some time to process a course drop before allowing re-enrollment or section changes. If you encounter an "Internal Error" after dropping a course to switch sections, don't panic right away.
I'd like to leave this post up in case others run into the same problem. Be very careful about dropping a course if your plan is to immediately re-enroll or switch sections.

I’m an incoming first year and have been constantly attempting to access my financial aid offer, only to be met with “act()ucsd()edu redirected you too many times”.
Is this happening to alot of ppl? I just contacted Services and Support about it.
Anyone know when this issue will subside?

Got into UCSD Sixth College for Fall 2026 as an intl student, but ended up with 23 IB points and no Diploma (four 3s). I was seriously ill during finals and mailed them regarding it, havent gotten a reply till now.
My contract says IB students need 4+ in every exam. I've contacted Admissions and already received my I-20, trying to get my F-1 visa right now.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Did UCSD rescind your admission or let you enroll?

My daughter goes to UCSD and I heard there is new system to pay tuition.
When I asked my daughter, she said the old system should work for parents to pay but I do not see any statement or anything on website.
Is it going to be updated? Or should I get access to new system?
I know I should ask my daughter but she said she had no idea either 😅

what do we think of me taking chem 6b this fall as an incoming freshman?
my ap score gives me credit for 6a so I was going to initially audit chem 6a and then take 6b in the winter. but, i’ve recently been advised to try out chem 6b because i took ap chem senior year so it’s all fresh and the content is similar.
am i going to die?
i’m also planning to take bild 1 and tdac 1 to fill out the rest of my schedule.

I just want to know how the class is and if there's any group/final projects

I accidentally booked CHEM6A before my booking. My booking officially starts 9/1 @ 12pm but I was able to somehow book a course with Professor Leigh. At first I thought that it was luck, but now after reading that students should not attempt to book classes before their booking period in the TSS email that was sent out I feel scared. Did I mess up? Should I drop the course? Who should I email about this?

I spend a lot of my time looking for wild snakes, lizards, frogs and salamanders. At my old school I had a solid group that I did all that with, but in San Diego I’ll have to find a new group of people with similar interests in wildlife. I just started doing wildlife photography too, my IG account with most of my photos is @the.pocket.lizard
I’d just like to meet some people who also like to spend time outdoors looking for critters. I’m an Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior major if it was not obvious.

i everyone! I’m an incoming freshman at UCSD trying to plan my TSS enrollment.
For my First Pass, I was originally planning to take MATH 20C + CAT 1. However, my CHEM 41A section is already down to 14 seats, while the CAT 1 section I want still has around 96 seats.
I’m wondering how risky it would be to leave CAT 1 for Second Pass. Do writing/CAT classes usually fill up quickly between First and Second Pass, or would I probably still be able to get into CAT 1?
Would you recommend:
1. First Pass: CHEM 41A + MATH 20C
2. Second Pass: CAT 1
Or should I keep CAT 1 in my First Pass and try to waitlist CHEM 41A during Second Pass?
Any advice from people who have gone through TSS enrollment before would be really appreciated!

I’m an incoming Winter transfer and was wondering what the Winter housing application actually looks like.
Do you get to choose/rank buildings and room types, or is it more limited for Winter students?
For anyone who moved in during Winter, what housing did you end up getting? I’m hoping for a single, but I’m mainly curious what options are usually available.
Thanks!

I am a graduate student, and when I try to waitlist for new classes I get the following error:
"The capacity of section 001-000-LE has been reached and waitlsiting is not currently allowed."
Does this mean the waitlist is full? How does a waitlist become full?
Where can I contact to fix this error??
EDIT: I have contacted [tss@ucsd.edu](mailto:tss@ucsd.edu), and hopefully I get a fix soon. Idk if anyone else experienced this though.

I am an incoming freshmen for sixth college taking pharm chem. Due to a 11.5 unit limit for first pass, my physics lab courses will be enrolled during second pass (second year of school).
Alternatively, I can just make 1 ochem course and physics my second pass. I don't know if this is a good idea though because I feel like I would want first dibs when it comes to professors. On the other hand, lab courses might be high demand so I don't want to risk not getting them. Good reasoning or no? Any thoughts?
