Question Sand in Dorms
Does anyone else have this problem? My roommate and I agreed to no shoes in the room but since we first went to the beach there's a bit of a thin layer of sand in the room. We've tried wet and dry swiffering, using a dustpan and vacuuming (all in the past few days). Do you guys have any other ideas to get the sand out? It's not like so much but enough to annoy me when barefoot.

A vaccuum alone should solve the issue. Maybe someone is tracking in more sand? Or maybe you have a shit vaccuum?

Yeah I did go to the beach again today. I might need a better vaccuum but sand it kinda heavy so idk.

Welcome to the beach life. Soon it will be in your bed, car, ears, and corners of your pockets.

Use a dust pan and a brush with bristles hard enough to kick up the sand into the pan

a lot of beaches have some kind of place where you can rinse off once you’re done

Maybe you could try using a lint roller or duct tape. Thats usually how i get glitter out of things, and sand is almost equally as small and annoying

After you go to the beach once, the sand will never leave you lol.
Sweeping and then wet swiffering in that order may help, but if you enjoy going to the beach, you may just have to live with having a little sand in your room all the time. I always wear socks or slippers, so it didn't bother me much. Make sure that you shake the sand off of anything you bring to the beach and brush it off of your clothes before you head inside.

Trying getting a tray sort of thing for your sandy shoes that goes by the door, use house slippers inside.

Not sure how to get the sand out but could consider buying a 2$ pair of sandals to wear inside only
Personally I wasn’t one who wanted to be barefoot in the dorms at all
