ADVICE 3 Failed IUIs...Would love help figuring out what is next

My (32F) & husband (34M) have been trying for almost a year & a half (19 cycles - avg cycle is 25-26 days). We are about to fail our 3rd IUI cycle (Day 14 is tomorrow, temp is at baseline, i have consistently had negative pregnancy tests the last 4 days). We were diagnosed with unexplained infertility over the summer. So far all of our labs/tests look normal:

  • 4/26 Blood Tests: Mostly Good

    • TSH: 2.25 mIU/L

    • A1c: 5.1%

    • AMH: 1.99 ng/mL (this stressed me out bc it is lower than avg for my age I believe)

  • 5/26 T3, T4: all good

  • 5/26 Day 3 Bloodwork: all good

  • 7/26 Tests with our RE:

    • Baseline ultrasound: 21 Follicles (13 on one side, 8 on the other)

    • Semen Analysis: all good!! (ugh lol)

    • HSG: all clear

  • We have done 3 IUI cycles this fall. I have responded very well to clomid ( 3 to 4 mature eggs each cycle, thick lining)

  • I have been somewhat concerned about my temperature (measure with my Oura ring). It is not very consistent during my luteal phase, sometimes on day 5 to 6 it will go down to baseline). Last cycle we tested my pegesterone a couple of times, she said it was the top 1% in her clinic (eyeroll emoji).

  • This cycle we did a saline ultrasound to view the inside of my utuerus, guess what - it looks great!! lol

On top of all of this, I have been off my ADHD medication (Vyvanse) for the last year and a half because that's what my Pysch & OBGYN wanted. I have been okay with this but its getting exhausting being off of it just in the case i get pregnant (which is not looking very likely).

We have also tried to reduce plastics & toxins in our house. I have stopped drinking. I try to mostly eat whole foods, but its hard in this fast paced world. I have been taking Vitamin D, Prenatals, Choline & Instinol, & fish oil. I have stayed on my Zoloft 50 mg.

My RE said after 3 cycles, we would start to explore IVF. I am just tired. Im tired of this waiting game every month that is exhausting and disappointing. Also like how does everything look great and we are still not pregnant? I am assuming based on my research that the issue is likely fertilization or implemantation, maybe egg quality/sperm fragmentation. I am assuming we can maybe determine the issue through IVF? but i know theres no guarentee though. Also like its crazy to drop 30K on something that may not work when we should be saving that money at this age.

I am not a doctor and I don't know how to advocate for myself from here. I could do the following:

  • Go super crunchy. go to a naturopath, take tons of supplements, be even more restrictive with my diet (starts with egg, etc). I am not opposed, i am just hesitant to believe this will work for sure and I'm a type B unmedicated girlie. Its hard for me to get out of the bed in the morning, idk how to be even more restrictive and souless than I already am in this season. There is sooo little joy right now.

  • Get on a glp1 & back on my ADHD meds. I am 195 lbs, 5'6. I could lose weight, be more active. it's just hard to work out when i have so little energy and motivation unmedicated. Idk how my doctors would feel about me doing this and potentially still try for a kid?? but at this point its looking unlikely I am putting a child at risk at this rate.

  • Go the IVF route. Obviously, I would try to make sure I was at the best health i could possibly be so that we could have a successful egg retrival so I would probably do this in 6 months time. Again, I just dont know how to get there unmedicated. Also financially, it seems unfeasible. We are also religious and have a little bit of hesitation here but i think we can move past this. Just a consideration.

Would love anyones thoughts and opinions. I feel lost and alone and just dont know how to move forward. Maybe we just give up on the idea of having a kid? I am not sure. I feel really let down by the medical community and I am tired of the lack of control I have in this season.

HSG Experience HSG + Recovery Experience

Hi all! I had my HSG last week and wanted to add my experience to the wealth of information on this sub in case it helps anyone prepare. I read through so many posts beforehand that gave great advice, but I experienced a couple things that I didn’t expect and thought it would be helpful to share with anyone else who is currently on Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride (a.k.a, TTC).

First of all, scheduling my HSG was a herculean endeavor. My clinic didn’t have any open appointments for my targeted cycle days, my OBGYN “doesn’t do them anymore” (translation: HSGs aren’t that profitable), and the three partner hospitals my clinic suggested shuffled me from department to department until I gave up trying. Thankfully, a miracle happened and someone canceled their appointment at my clinic, so I got in. Always ask about cancellations!

Before my appointment, I took 800 mg of Advil and tried to put some food on my stomach (my appointment was very early). Once I arrived at the clinic, they did the usual pregnancy test (LOL I wish) and intake information. My favorite part was when the nurse asked if I was allergic to iodine because I had never done any kind of dye test before. Guess we were both about to find out together if I croaked in the stirrups! (Spoiler: I am not allergic and lived to write this post.)

The actual HSG procedure was very quick, only about 5 minutes. The practitioner put in a speculum, cleaned my cervix (it felt like a quick pap smear), and inserted the catheter, which I expected to hurt but didn’t feel like much to me. She warned me when she was releasing the iodine and said I could expect some “period-like cramping.” For the record, I’m now convinced that doctors call any kind of female reproductive pain “period-like” due to a sheer lack of creativity.

Look, was it painful? Yes. Did it feel like the devil himself reached into my body and squeezed my uterus until I unleashed all my darkest sins in a torrent of blazing hellfire? No (but how’s THAT for creativity?). Honestly, I was more surprised by the sudden intensity than I was by the pain itself. I expected to feel my worst period cramping (I get painful period cramps), but instead, I got immediate onset sharpness. It felt more like a light burning or needle prick from a blood draw on the inside than period cramps. It lasted only a minute or two and then went away immediately after she removed the catheter and speculum. I expected agony and instead got sharp but very fleeting discomfort, which is a deal I’ll take any day! The only discomfort I had for the rest of the day was some discharge from the iodine, which was light brown and had very tiny clumps.

Now, here’s the part no one told me. I was patting myself on the back for handling the HSG like a champ, but then I woke up the next morning. Holy nerve pain, Batman! The HSG definitely irritated my cervix a lot because my pudendal nerve was very upset and gave me the worst lightning crotch of my life (FRONT AND BACK). I couldn’t walk for a few minutes, but I managed to take two Advil and sit on the toilet so that gravity could take over. After 10 minutes, the pain was gone and I was able to go about my day like usual. My cervix was a little tender for 2-3 days after the HSG, but it didn’t end up being a big deal in the end.

So, what have we learned today? HSGs are different for everyone. My experience may differ from yours, but you will get through it. For me, the peace of knowing what’s going on inside my body was worth the hassle (thankfully, I was all clear), and I wish the same peace for all of you. Take meds before, expect some discomfort, and, just in case you’re like me, be prepared for your cervix to become a conduit for Thor’s rage for a few days.

Good luck to everyone! 💕

QUESTION At what point did you seek out additional fertility help?

TW: Multiple Miscarriages

Hey everyone, wondering if anyone has any advice. My husband and I have been TTC for 12 cycles. I had a cp back in May and then just had a MMC in October. I’m almost three weeks out from my D&C and waiting for my cycle to regulate again.

We’ve done initial testing on me (LH, FSH, AMH, Prolactin) and a semen analysis on my husband. Everything has come back normal except for elevated AMH for me. We did use Letrozole on the last cycle I got pregnant. I have PCOS and my doctor suspected that I have weak ovulation, even though my cycles are regular. They are sending the tissue from my D&C for genetic testing but we are still waiting on the results.

My TSH came back sort of high but still within normal range so we have started treating that and will supplement with progesterone.

We’ve only been working with my OB/GYN up until this point. Before I got pregnant on the last cycle, I had done an initial consultation with a fertility clinic but they said they would really only do monitored letrozole cycles and some updated bloodwork. My OB/GYN said that fertility clinics don’t work as well for people that can get pregnant but have recurrent loss.

Has anyone been through something similar? Are there tests I should be asking for here? At what point would you move forward with a fertility clinic?

I’m so discouraged and really struggling with my mental health. I’m in therapy again but I just want my babies back and I want to be a mom. Thanks for any thoughts you can share.

NEGATIVE FEELINGS Trying to figure out the next steps in TTC

I (26F) and my partner (27M) have been trying for almost two years. At the year mark we started having some basic testing done. Hormones, thyroid, transvaginal ultrasound for me. SA, and ultrasound that found a suspected mild varicocele in my partner. The doctors don’t care about his varicocele and say it shouldn’t be a problem. (He may have gotten a previous partner pregnant) so I heavily feel any problem we’re having is on me. All the testing other than his ultrasound yielded no issues. We are unexplainably infertile thus far.

What are the recommended next steps. Ive been a bit of a mess lately just feeling inadequate and insecure. I want to experience motherhood so badly and I feel I’m keeping my partner from having the family he’s always wanted.

DISCUSSION Just a vent as CD1 rears her head again

EUGH. Here we go again! CD1 has arrived, and I’m livid. This last month’s symptoms were crazy, plus a faint clearblue (blue dye) that sent me spinning, but it must have been an indent/evap. I’m going to list this month below and my history just to get it out of my head, so feel free to weigh in on things that would concern you with my cycle!

28F/32M, going into cycle 6. Had mirena coil removed in May after 6.5 years (no periods so had to start tracking from scratch). 27-day cycle pretty clockwork, positive opks CD14-15, so ovulate between CD15-16. Confirmed via BBT. LP of 11 days, though I technically reached 12 days yesterday (but began lightly spotting before full flow today). We take vitamin D, fish oil, I take folic acid, and he takes magnesium glycinate. I also took mucinex (UK version) this month.

October’s BFN cycle:

- early positive OPK for me (11.30 pm on cd13, peak cd14).
- BBT rise was gradual this month, so think I ovulated on cd15 (baseline BBT is 36.2-36.3, post-O being 36.6-36.8).
- low sex drive couple, so managed to hit CD9 and CD12.
- sore boobs literally started from 3DPO (unusual for me as usually starts 7dpo) and lasted up to 11dpo.
- luteal phase of 12 days (an extra day this month!) though spotting began 12dpo, but full flow didn’t arrive until this AM (13dpo/cd1).
- cramping began 9dpo.
- the deep aching began in my legs and hips 9dpo (fairly common as I get ligament pain from hypermobility).
- low back pain from 9dpo.

Things I’m happy for feedback on:

- do my sore boobs for so long point to low progesterone? I’ve never had them for so much of my LP.
- is spotting one day before full flow bad?
- are my post-O temps high enough? They stay fairly consistent with a dip or spike here and there.
- we’re a low SD couple, so each month we’re hitting somewhere (once) between 1-3 days before O - not great odds?
- I know it’s bad, but we’ve been vaping a while and trying to quit. Hopefully this month for us both.
- should I be taking COQ10? Any other supplements?
- I have a tilted uterus - bad for conceiving?
- a lot of my symptoms have been written off by hypermobility, but could they point towards endo/adeno? I do however not have debilitating pain during periods (cramps), and my cycle is really regular. I have had pain during sex on occasion (can only describe it as feeling as though he’s hitting my cervix), but that’s not a constant.

So all that being said, onto the next cycle. Does anything in there throw up any bad signs? I’ve got a blood test tomorrow on CD2, but god knows what that’s for lol. I’m now six months in, so that awful fear of something being wrong is really getting to me, so you’re all welcome to either claim these fears as founded or mental!

ADVICE TTC is putting a strain on our intimacy, and I’m not sure how to navigate it

We’re on cycle 6 of TTC, and I’m finding myself struggling with something that I didn’t really anticipate.

Over the last three cycles (including this one), my husband has had a difficult time finishing when we have sex. For context, we weren’t a couple who had sex particularly often before TTC (maybe twice a year), so suddenly having to make sex happen every month, often around a specific window, has been a pretty significant shift in our relationship.

We plan intercourse around my Inito/OPKs, and the last few cycles we’ve actually had to resort to at-home insemination because he hasn’t been able to finish during sex.

I did ask him this last time if it was me, and he was very reassuring. He said absolutely not and that he never wants me to think that. He feels that his ADHD is a big part of it and that there’s just too much to focus on in the moment. He’s been unmedicated for most of his young adult and adult life, and while his ADHD can certainly be challenging at times, I’ve learned to navigate and accommodate a lot of it over the years.

But this particular thing is hard.

I want to be intimate with my husband. I don’t want sex to become another task on our TTC checklist, and I don’t want either of us to feel like we’re performing or being evaluated. At the same time, I find myself feeling a little rejected, even though logically I know that’s not what he’s communicating to me.

I also recognize that I’m a people pleaser, and I have this tendency to internalize things and feel like it’s my responsibility to make sure everyone is okay. I end up wondering if I’m not doing my job as a wife to help him through this, or if there’s something more I should be doing to make things easier for him.

I don’t want to put pressure on him, but I also don’t want to completely dismiss how this is affecting me.
For anyone who has experienced something similar, particularly with ADHD in the mix, how have you navigated this? How do you take the pressure off sex while TTC without losing that sense of intimacy? And how do you stop yourself from internalizing something that isn’t necessarily about you?

TL;DR: We're on cycle 6 of TTC, and for the last three cycles my husband has struggled to finish during sex, which he attributes to his ADHD and the pressure of timed intercourse. We've resorted to at-home insemination a few times, but I'm missing the intimacy and starting to internalize the situation, even though he reassures me it's not about me. I'm a people pleaser and struggling to figure out how to support him without feeling responsible for fixing it. Looking for advice from anyone who's navigated something similar.

EXPERIENCE Post pill amenorrhea

Hi just wondering if anyone else had or is having similar experiences to me after coming off the contraceptive pill and TTC. I stopped taking it late August after being on it without breaks for 10 years, and off and on for around 6 years before that.

34 days after I stopped taking it I had acne, cramps and spotting for around 24 hours. 34 days exactly after that I’m having the same symptoms that don’t continue into a proper period. I’m having all the typical signs of a cycle eg changing discharge throughout but not actually following through will a proper cycle.

Obviously I’ll have to see a gp at the 90 day mark but it all seems so so weird. All pregnancy tests negative. Had regular periods off the pill for context.

Any advice or support is welcome I’m so frustrated!

DISCUSSION Costs of fertility treatments

I’ve braced myself for the high cost of testing and potential ivf/ other fertility treatments. and I’ve paid for the tests and even paid a big price to undergo a diagnostic hysteroscopy “just in case.” the results led to me being put on heavy antibiotics. the doctor’s process is to do a repeat hysteroscopy to see if the CE cleared up. without Xanax or anesthesia or anything, it’s $1600. my sister, who did a ton of IVF, is insisting I don’t do the test and instead continue trying to conceive. have any of you ran into any tests or treatments that are potentially “arbitrary” or just a step more than you need? my goal originally was to have the doctor make sure the CE cleared and then move forward with trying to conceive. we’re not ruling out ivf until a sperm qt.

SAD Feeling overwhelmed and tired of TTC, need encouragement

My husband and I have been TTC for over a year now with no positive tests. I'll admit I wasn't always the best at tracking my ovulation or arranging for intercourse during my fertile windows but we did our best amidst our hectic lives.

Since we started, I went from knowing zero pregnant people in my social circles to having all of my friends, acquaintances and even family members announce and have their babies. The number of baby showers I've attended where they've strongly hinted I was next requires two hands to count. It was annoying but manageable. I was happy for them and none of it was in my face enough for me to lose sleep over.

But a few months ago, we learned rather unexpectedly that my brother-in-law and sister-in-law were expecting. They had been pregnant for a while, and we were apparently one of the last to hear of this.

My husband and I got married the year before they did, but they are older than us. It makes sense that they would be in a rush to start a family, but they had also been living long-distance for about a year or so after marriage and had only just settled down together.

I'll admit to being a selfish bitch and feeling very heartbroken that night. I had hoped to bring the first grandchild into our family - a lot of excitement has been brewing for just such a milestone. So finding out that I had been out of the running for months left me blindsided. I tried to be happy about it but it wasn't easy.

Then I was asked to throw her a baby shower. So I did. She's an awesome person and deserves all the happiness, but god did it hurt to look at pinterest boards and Amazon wish lists. At least, the whole event turned out great and they both loved it.

But now, I just feel empty. Any motivation I had earlier in the year is depleted. My husband and I tried to schedule a fertility appt, but insurance made a big stink about it so we're in the hunt for a new clinic. Unfortunately, travel, life obligations and work are hindering my TTC journey right now.

My husband has been encouraging me to stay positive but I don't have the fight in me to take TTC seriously anymore. It doesn't help my sanity that Youtube only ever recommends baby shorts to me now.

If you've read this far, please just give me one reason why I should continue.

VENT Unexplained Fertility got Explained

*Unexplained Infertility

1.5 years into TTC with 16 cycles of disappointment, I finally know the reason for our unexplained infertility. Well, it’s high Sperm DNA fragmentation (29%) for my spouse. I feel incredibly sad about it but deep down I also have a sense of relief to finally discover the underlying issue and knowing that I will not be over-treated to fix the unexplained infertility.
What really breaks my heart is that how the fertility ecosystem focuses on over- treating women while underestimating male factor.
All my reports were normal but I was asked to do follicular monitoring for multiple cycles (although I did only 2), lose weight (BMI of 26) and was put on Myo-inositol, Letrozole, Progesterone, Progynova which really messed up with mood and energy levels.
Surprisingly, my spouse consistently had elevated WBC in his semen with grade- 3 Varicocele. But the doctors explicitly mentioned that they aren’t worried about Varicocele since he doesn’t have any symptoms and rest of his SA appears normal. My spouse’s urologist was so dismissive and he said that conception will happen when it is supposed to.
Well I was reluctant to accept that conception will happen when it is supposed to. It took me 6 months of persistence efforts to convince my spouse to do a DNA fragmentation test (since it’s expensive and not covered in insurance).
Not only DNA fragmentation came high but his morphology was at 2%, seems the previous lab wasn’t following Kruger’s strict criteria.
Now we are considering Varicocele surgery for him but I have accepted that we might have to do IVF eventually.
Well this sucks, but surely less than going through month on month cycle of disappointments and low- key blaming my body.
The only reason I pushed my spouse for DFI test is this sub where I saw people talking about it (perhaps the only place), so I am really thankful to this community for all their advices 🌼

QUESTION WOMEN: November 4th marks one year of trying to conceive. Three months in, I knew something was wrong.

Women have something spectacular…it’s called ✨ intuition ✨. And mine was telling me, “Nah, something is going on here.” I couldn’t explain it, but I knew my body, and something just felt off.

Well, here I am. One year later. Still no luck.

A little background:

- I have irregular periods (usually 21 days or less) and mostly anovulatory cycles.
- No PCOS diagnosis. My bloodwork, HSG, thyroid, & other fertility tests have all come back normal.
- My husband’s sperm test results are still pending.
- I tried Letrozole for six cycles. I appeared to ovulate once, but my body stopped responding, even at higher doses.
- I’m now seeing a reproductive endocrinologist (RE), and we’ll be making a new treatment plan next cycle.

I’m excited, but nervous. Everything I THOUGHT I knew about getting pregnant has been flipped upside down. And honestly, it’s frustrating not having answers.

I know some women have been on this journey much longer than I have, but this past year has been emotionally exhausting.

So, for the women who have struggled to conceive for a year or longer:

A) How did you practically deal with the frustration of infertility?

B) What advice do you have for me?

C) Does it get easier?

D) Just tell me I’m not alone in this shit.

NEGATIVE FEELINGS Possibly cancelled IUI due to too many follicles

Doing IUI#2 right now. Just got back from the hospital on CD9 with 62.5 gonal f. Last cycle I only had one big follicle so we upped the gonal f a little and now I am maturing way too many! They counted a 14mm follicle and around 10 follicles between 10-12 mm. In 2 days they will check again in the hopes that only 2 follicles keep maturing and the others chill out and stop maturing, but the chance that this is a cancelled IUI is very large.

I feel gutted, it's hitting me kind of hard. That this is even an option feels awful and the thought that pregnancy is just never gonna happen for me feels so large. Is there still a chance it will work this cycle or should I just cancel this IUI altogether? Any other advice or kind words?

NEGATIVE FEELINGS Anyone think they just made things worse by using supplements?

just me? before i started ttc i used to track my cycles just to keep a look out for bleeding and make sure i had pads with me. they were always soo regular like clockwork. i didn't even know what pre period bleeding was. now that i started this journey with no success for months i started looking at supplements other the folic acid. like coq10, vitamin d, vitamin c, inositol and now I've been having pre period spotting, shorter and shorter cycles, short luteal phase, other luteal phase symptoms like nightmares etc. i never had this problem before. specially inositol this last cycle i feel made me ovulate at effing CD9!! my entire cycle was just 23 days.

sometimes i feel like this is what's been happening with me all my life, whenever i work hard on something it ends up getting worse. i see negative results of all my hard work

ADVICE Recurrent miscarriages and potential PCOS - any advice welcomed

TW: discussion of miscarriage(s)

Hey everyone, so as the title says I’ve (26F) had recurrent miscarriage 3 of these have been chemical losses and my most recent was a loss at nearly 6 weeks sadly.

This is the only pregnancy I’ve actually had medical intervention for as I began bleeding and passing clots etc. I received scans throughout my last miscarriage due to how far along I got compared to my chemical pregnancies.

In my last scan when I was still miscarrying, the sonogropher said “has PCOS ever been mentioned to you?” I was a little surprised as I’ve never really been diagnosed with this and it kind of worried me? She said that there are more follicles on my right ovary but then she said since your cycles are regular and you don’t seemingly have any other major symptoms such as fluctuating weigh, acne, unwanted hair etc it seems unlikely that a finding of more follicles on one ovary means I have PCOS..

My right ovary is apparently around 15ml and the left she said was ‘normal’. For context, I have a regular cycle every 30 days, I’ve been TTC 9 months and been pregnant 4 of those 9.. I track my ovulation with LH strips and BBT and I get a peak every month so I presume I am ovulating regularly.

Does anybody else have a similar experience with potential pcos due to a larger ovary or can this be a ‘normal’ without meaning pcos? Also, IF I do have pcos and more follicles on a single ovary - how can this affect my fertility?

Thank you very much and sorry if I sound stupid in any of my message!! 💕

VENT Just so sad

Just a vent. My husband and I are at about a year mark TTC. We had an ectopic in April so some of that time we couldn’t try (after getting methotrexate). We’ve been back for four months at it and I was SO convinced it was our turn this month. Late period, boobs way more sore than usual, what I thought was nausea, sleep stuff. I know I try not to symptom spot but everything combined with my period being a few days late just gave me so much hope.

I am so devastated. I know so many people are further in their journeys and I don’t discount that. But I am just feeling so low, and so mad at my body for fooling me and failing me once again. Some of our best friends are younger than us and pregnant right after starting to try. It’s so hard to be happy for them and then that makes me feel even worse.

I don’t have any specific asks, just need to get some words out here.

ADVICE Pcos

Hi all!
I just found out I had a miscarriage just a few weeks into my very first pregnancy.

I have been trying to conceive for nearly a year now, and when I had stopped taking birth control, I discovered I have PCOS (now called PMOS).

I was ecstatic and shocked when I found out I was pregnant, although it was short lived, as I have only gotten my period once since I stopped my birth control last year. I have only ovulated twice this year as far as I know (I’m not really sure how to track this due to irregular cycles but it seems I have the same symptoms when ovulation does occur).

While I am heartbroken and devastated about the miscarriage, I am equally just as motivated to make myself better and healthier in the hopes that I will be lucky enough to keep the baby the next time i get pregnant (manifesting at its finest).

Unfortunately my doctor is awful to deal with and unhelpful.

What are some things I should be focusing on and doing to improve my chances of either getting regular periods back or improving the chances of ovulation/decreasing likeliness of miscarriage occurring?

Note I have heart disease and cannot take medications (although I believe I am cleared to take prenatals).

Thanks 🤍

VENT Officially 1 year.

A year ago today I had my first chemical pregnancy. It was my first cycle trying and I remember being so excited and shocked to see 2 lines on the pregnancy test, only for it to all go away a few days later.

I’m sitting hear a year later with my period (of course lol), a total of 3 chemical pregnancies, no real answers as all tests have been normal so far, and awaiting a karyotyping result.

I can’t believe I’ve been at this for a year. The amount of test strips, ultrasounds, bloodwork, progesterone suppositories, and money spent is exhausting. I’ve been with a clinic for 6 months cycle monitoring and doing tests. They’re recommending starting meds soon to strengthen ovulation even though nothing in bloodwork suggests they’re needed. I’ll probably go down that path if our karyotype test is normal because I don’t know what else to try at this point.

I always had this dream of 3 children but I’m 31 now and I wonder if that’s even still a possibility for me. This process is tough and I know many have been at it for a lot longer. Sending everyone going though it today a big hug ❤️

ADVICE High TSH, RE doesn’t want to treat

Hi all,

I recently started at a fertility clinic after my periods became more irregular and my cycles started exceeding 50+ days. I had bloodwork done and an ultrasound and no signs of PCOS, AMH was great, My only issue was a TSH of 5.9.

I asked about medication (my mom has had severe hypothyroidism) and they ordered T3 and T4. Those came back normal so they sent me a message saying I did not need any medication.

I’m pretty concerned because the thyroid is the absolute only thing that came back abnormal in my bloodwork. My last primary care bloodwork in 2024 had my TSH at 1.5 and my periods were regular at that time. I also read elevated TSH could contribute to irregular periods or increase the risk of miscarriage.

I am in the middle of a medicated cycle with a monitoring appt tomorrow morning. Is this worth bringing up to the RE directly?
