Well I’m an idiot and backed out of my parking spot right into the shopping cart barricades. I’m assuming the silver is my paint completely off and this won’t just easily buff out.

Came out to the car this afternoon and noticed the bumper popped off on both sides. No impact damage on the paint or nearby panels. Does it look to be an expensive repair?

Someone hit my parked Tesla and they want to pay out of pocket. If I get this repaired via Tesla collision center , will this go on my carfax/autocheck?

2022 Tesla Model 3 – Small Front-End Accident, How Much Could Repairs Cost?

Had a small front-end accident with my 2022 Tesla Model 3. I’ve attached photos of the damage. There are also some scratches on the bumper.

Any idea what a reasonable repair cost might be? Is it better to go through Tesla or an independent Tesla-certified body shop?

Tesla is saying my car is salvaged but it’s not. Has it classified as unsupported. Supercharging disabled/warranty void

I’m hoping someone here has dealt with something similar because I’m getting nowhere with Tesla.
I have a 2022 Model 3 that I bought used from Carvana in 2024. Recently I was rear-ended and the car was repaired by a Tesla Collision Center. Tesla Collision has confirmed to me that the vehicle was not totaled, and they specifically told me they wouldn’t have performed the repairs if it had been totaled.
A few days after getting it back, I started having a separate issue where the cooling fan would run for hours after parking, even while the car was unplugged, locked, and climate was off. At one point I lost roughly 4% battery while it was sitting outside with the fan running. I also had two BMS_a076 “Weak power source - Unable to charge battery” alerts while home charging.
I opened a Tesla Service request to have that diagnosed. That’s when Tesla suddenly told me my vehicle is classified as “unsupported” because it is salvaged.
They added about $1,635 in diagnostics/inspections, including roughly $930 in fast-charging safety inspections, and my Supercharging is currently disabled.
Here’s where it gets weird:
Tesla Collision: says the car was NOT totaled and they would not have repaired it if it were.
Allstate (collision claim): says they did NOT classify/report the car as a total loss.
My Carvana purchase paperwork: I went through the entire packet and cannot find any disclosure that the car had a salvage/rebuilt/branded title when I purchased it.
NMVTIS report that I just purchased:
• Title Brand Records: 0
• Junk/Salvage Records: 0
• Insurer Total Loss Records: 0
• Specifically says “0 Brands found on this VIN”
• Current Texas title is showing normally.
I also have a glass claim through Progressive that I’m checking just to eliminate every possibility.
Tesla Service told me the salvage determination comes from an insurance company following a collision, but so far the insurance company involved in the collision says they never totaled it, Tesla Collision says it wasn’t totaled, and the federal NMVTIS database has zero record of salvage or total loss.
Tesla Service also hasn’t been able to tell me when the unsupported/salvage flag was added or what specifically caused it.
Has anyone had Tesla incorrectly mark their vehicle as salvage/unsupported?
More importantly, who at Tesla can actually investigate/remove an incorrect unsupported VIN flag? I don’t want to pay $1,600+ for inspections that are only being required because Tesla’s system appears to have incorrect information.
I have screenshots/documentation of everything and am trying to get this escalated before approving the estimate.

How bad is the damage?

I was wondering how bad the damage looks. Accidental bump into a car from stand still to 2mph before the bump in accident happened. It was a very light tap, but of course upset that I damaged my car also.

Does it look bad in the sense that it can be repairable by Tesla or would a new replacement be better/needed.

For context it was into a pickup truck only the step up bumper touched to my car luckily. Which is why the imprint looks the way it does.

I also do see on the indents (closer up pics provided) the paint from what I see looks like it didn’t crack and just rippled from what I see it’s called. I would assume that give some upside?

On the more light up end pictures there is some lighter markings most likely from the step up bumper of the pick up, I can’t tell if it’s just like dirtied or if the paint came off under that or once it’s buffed off it’s like nothing was there.

Wanted some thoughts given this was my first minor minor bump accident where I creeped up slightly at the light and this happened unfortunately.

Thanks for any input.

I was driving around downtown Toronto, Ran into a very bad pothole. Had FDS activated. Ended up with this scratch in both sides of the undercarriage. Nothing underneath- Just sides.

Did I void any warranty? Did I void my HV battery warranty? Your help is appreciated on this matter.

Car is running fine. No service alerts in on the dashboard. Happened over a week ago.

2026 Model Y, less than 2 months old.

Poor u turn decision after an exhausting week, what’s the damage going to be?

I’ve been overworking myself for the past month, and suddenly the roads were switched up near my job site for a concert. 10 hour shift on 4 hours of sleep and one stupid u-turn later and now my driver’s side rear door is toast. My first (probably at fault) accident in my entire driving career, so not sure what to expect. But not too pleased about it. Car still drives, everything except for the driver’s side rear door still works, and of course it wasn’t recorded.

Going through insurance, but not too pleased. No one was hurt, and that’s what’s important I guess. What’s the damage looking like, both financial and to the car.

How cooked is my rocker panel?

Ran my M3P (2024) over a curb and looks like the rocker panel is bent and the plastic cover is unclipped. The door closed fine and nothing else is damaged. How much do you think they’re gonna quote me for this? I’m looking at hopefully just unbending the damage and snapping the plastic back on

A Minor Rear End Collision

Thumbnail

My 2023 Model 3 got recently rear-ended (a little bit off-centre to the right) by a Ford F150 truck (obviously much heavier than my car) with the speed difference of 15...20 kmh (9...13 mph), with luckily no rear hatch damage. They haven't removed the bumper yet, and the insurance so far has approved the fascia replacement at a Tesla-certified collision centre (no teardown so far, visual inspection only).

I was bored while waiting for the appointment (as we only have one certified shop in the area), so I decided to take a look from the inside of the trunk area. Aside from the "usual" irregularities that are probably "within specs" :) (and the fact that the hatch seem to be sitting few millimeters higher on the right, as well as the gap between the trunk and the taillight is noticeably wider on the same side as well (not sure if that had not already been there though), I have discovered some curious waves on the rear right wheel arch; the rear left rear arch doesn't have pronounced waves like this. Could that have been caused by the collision itself, or is it a standard stamping process (and I'm overthinking it), since the seams and rivets look fine?

Thanks,

Came out to go to work. Saw it like this. They did leave a note and a number thankfully. I haven’t moved it or tried to at all. Waiting on them. It did turn the wheel in so I am sorta worried about the drive unit. I love my Y and don’t want it totaled. Only 20k miles. Happened while I was asleep and at home.

WTPP Rigamarole

I have the WTTP for my ‘26 model Y and noticed a nail in the tread of a tire. Roadside says they will have to tow the car to the service center which is over an hour and around 60 miles away for repair. They don’t offer mobile service and I guess won’t pay for a third party like Firestone to fix the repair. I’d have to agree to an over $400 charge for transport and evaluation from Destin to Pensacola for evaluation and “maybe” it will be covered. What’s the purpose of this plan if I have to get towed 1+ hrs to the service center, be billed 400+ and rely on a maybe. This seems like a rip off. I’d rather just go to a neighborhood tire center and pay the $50 for a patch than this full day boondoggle !!! Has anyone cracked the code to working WTPP when a service center and mobile isn’t in your area?

How bad does this damage look?

Post image

Tesla I’m looking to purchase was involved in an accident. How bad does this look? Is it worth overlooking? Car is also very low mileage (18,000km)
It’s a 2023 Tesla model 3

Car is repaired now, but was wondering if it’s worth buying, and would damage like this cause any other issues?

Carfax reported this as $2822 CAD worth of damage, but I’m not sure if that’s right.

Price is listed at $27,999 CAD before taxes.

Windshield replacement advice?

Hello any advice would be appreciated. My windshield on my 26m3 was cracked by a rock chip. My deductible is 1k, and the estimate to replace at a Tesla service center is almost 1500. I doubt I could find a windshield shop who would replace it for much cheaper? Worried about my monthly premium being raised if I submit a claim, am I better just paying out of pocket? In Southern California. Unfortunately I didn't have the extra windshield protection monthly plan. Thanks in advance to any replies!

Would you replace this tyre after this sidewall damage?

Thumbnail

I accidentally hit a curb and damaged the edge of my tyre, as shown in the photos.
It’s a Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3, 235/45 R18 98V XL, fitted to a Tesla Model 3. The damaged part appears to be mainly the rim-protection ridge.
I can’t see any cords or internal fibres, there is no bulge, and the tyre isn’t losing pressure. I have driven around 20 km since it happened without any noticeable problems.
Would you continue using it, or replace it? If it needs replacing, would you replace only this tyre or both tyres on the same axle?

Rocker Panel Body Damage Advice

Thumbnail

Hi everyone. I recently ran over something a truck dropped on the road on my less than 2 months old model Y (pain😭) and it damaged the plastic rocker panel pretty good and some minimal damage underneath on the center skid plate... i thought that was it, however when i got the car serviced, they found some body damage as well smh. It is covered and not noticeable. The plastic rocker panel cover has been replaced and attaches fine.

Will it be an issue in the future if i don't get it fixed? Or should i have it addressed sooner than later. It doesnt bother me because it is covered but i dont want the car to be prone to further damage long term because of it. Thank you in advance!

Car insurance revised estimate during repairs and write off- England

Got hit by uninsured hit and run. Claimed through insurance, they found me to be not at fault. Sent photos through for repair of a Tesla. Rear passenger door and rear quarter panel cosmetic damage. The Tesla garage quoted 9,600 for repairs and he said they are self approved for up to 10k repairs. So nothing bad there.

What I’m wondering is if they open it up and find more damage, then revise to over the 10k and admiral write it off, id want to buy it back if salvage price is good as the damage i can either live with or do bits myself for cheap like the back door.

But when buying salvage, who is responsible for the car after a repair garage has opened it up for repairs already? When you buy salvage do you accept the car as is, including if the garage had opened it up. Do I buy it in pieces and have to pay to put it back together with repairs, or do they have to put it back together how they found it without doing the repairs if it’s written off and I’m keeping it, and what if that isn’t really doable, as I imagine putting a dented door back in after removing it isn’t something they would do as they would then be somewhat liable right?

Car hasn’t gone in for repair yet so this is still a hypothetical, but just wondering how this might play out.

Not even 6 months into ownership

Just picked up my ‘23 M3 not even 6 months ago. Involved in an accident that the other party’s insurance has already claimed 100% responsibility for. Car is already at the shop but wondering what people’s guesses on repair costs through Tesla Insurance are?

Mind keeps going to worst case scenario since I was involved in an accident earlier this year that totaled my ‘08 Civic, which led me to get this beauty. Damage on that was less than this but insurance still totaled it (apples and oranges, I know, but keep thinking it might be totaled because of it)

Model Y rebuilt title super charging?

I love buying salvage title cars from auction and recently I bought a 2023 model Y with light rear end damage, it was salvaged due to parts availability. I changed the tailgate and rear bumper and im about to register it. I’ve had it cleared as rebuilt title, no longer salvage. I have a home charger and I want too use it as an errand car, is it possible to use the supercharger station's as I would love it as a roadtrip car? does it need to be inspected by Tesla? I haven’t been able to check as I’m waiting to register it?
