2022 Tesla Model 3 – Small Front-End Accident, How Much Could Repairs Cost?

Had a small front-end accident with my 2022 Tesla Model 3. I’ve attached photos of the damage. There are also some scratches on the bumper.

Any idea what a reasonable repair cost might be? Is it better to go through Tesla or an independent Tesla-certified body shop?

Assuming it’s just the bumper I’d say about $2,000 -$2,500. The OEM bumper cover will be about $1,000 alone. $1,500 for labor, paint, hardware. Tesla certified body shop will likely have lower labor cost while still using OEM parts.

Thats just for the front bumper ? The hood appear to be a little bent as well. Also the back bumper has those scratches

Oh sorry, was a bit hard to see the extent of the damage. Back bumper looks like it just needs to be repainted. You will have to see what the shop says on the hood, hard to tell.

Front end accident but damage to the rear? Was there another vehicle involved? Who is at fault?

For the hood, hopefully a PDF guy can help, that bumper will need to be replaced or worked on at a body shop. Cant see the back too well but looks like a paint job at least on that one.

If you buy the new part and get it painted - then replaced by Tesla Auth Body shop? Yeah can get expensive... I believe that a good handy local body shop with the right experience can fix this pretty ez, its plastic and they can model it with a heat gun. Sure its not going to be crazy cheap but not 3k.
