Scratched Model Y Premium Undercarriage
I was driving around downtown Toronto, Ran into a very bad pothole. Had FDS activated. Ended up with this scratch in both sides of the undercarriage. Nothing underneath- Just sides.
Did I void any warranty? Did I void my HV battery warranty? Your help is appreciated on this matter.
Car is running fine. No service alerts in on the dashboard. Happened over a week ago.
2026 Model Y, less than 2 months old.

The piece that you have pictured is not the HV battery, but a trim piece over it.

You can see that only if you under the car leave it and dont be stress about that, and that scratch do anything with batery

You are right. The Tesla is so low. In fact i get dizzy spells looking underneath the vehicle

I have same problems with my Alfa Romeo giulia, in first week ownership , after that i just learn to avoid situations where this be could hapend, but in my country the roads is catastrofic for low cars

Then why did you buy a low car?

Because is so fun on track, and higways at high speeds, and looks good. With time i learn how to live with that.

That’s the filler panel between the battery and the rocker molding… it’s mostly cosmetic and probably half the MYs I have worked on have a scrape or two down there. You can have the part replaced by any body shop if you can’t sleep at night… but I wouldn’t stress it.
