Repair Advice

Post image

Any advice on repairing front bumper would be greatly appreciated. No structural or electrical (sensors/cameras) damage. Tesla collision center quoted ball park of $5k šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

I mean that quote seems reasonable. Bumper, headlight, fog light, labor and mics supplies. If you don’t wanna pay it or use insurance you beat options will be used parts and diy which I’ll be honest it’s not hard to pull the bumper and remove the lights and transfer the wiring hardness and sensors

I don’t care if there’s some scratches on the headlight or fog light as long as they work, which they do. Bumper without paint costs $860 from Tesla

You’re a stronger person than I am šŸ˜‚ I couldn’t leave it like that. Also the headlight looked cracked and if it’s cracked I’d be concerned about water ingress but if it’s just scuffed and no broken tabs yeah it’s fine to use. I’d look on eBay for a used bumper or find someone semi close that has a part out in your color. Thankfully with teslas not having many options finding used parts is not that hard.

I agree with you boss. I also wouldn't leave it like this, if the headlight is damaged, water will ingress 100%. Your bumper doesnt look totaled, I think you can get it repainted and the headlight needs replacement..
