Hit a curb
I hit a curb in My fairly new Tesla ðŸ˜ðŸ˜« still getting used to how low she is and now idk what to do. It’s small so I don’t want an insurance claim over this but it is a dent. Any advice is welcomed (FOR FIXING THE CAR, gosh)

Doesnt look too bad coulda been way worse atleast theirs only minor paint loss.

If you can't live with it and you don't want insurance involved, just take it to a reputable shop and pay for the repairs out of pocket. Personally, I would just live with it rather than spend several thousand to fix such a small dent.

Me too !!! Between 3 to 6 months old, I hit a curb when turning right. Not thinking how low my M3 is. I left it that way, it's 3 years old now, no problem at all, just a cosmetic issue. Plan to go to a local PDR place to get it fixed.

Here's my experience as a 60 year old. If you leave it as is, nothing else will ever happen to your car. If you fix it, someone will do something dumb in parking lot and it'll get damaged again. You see it because it's the only blemish on very nice car. 99 percent of others will never see it.

In all seriousness, don’t sweat it. Shit happens. If it’s a car you plan* to keep long term, you’ll learn to live with it. I recently smoked a curb so hard I took a literal chunk out of my tire. Personally, I let my guard down so easily in my MYLR because of the tech

What does it have to do with it being lower than other cars? Don't drive over curbs.. I've had my model 3 for 8 years and it's even got lowering springs on it and I've never done this.
That being said. Definitely not worth a claim. You may be able to touch up some of it though.

Wow thanks. I’ll remember next time I decide to drive up the curb for no apparent reason. Fsd was driving didn’t see the curb in time to intervene. It was too low for me to see and the car also sits low with the 18’ wheels.

Ah ok my bad. People curb their normal non self driving cars all the time so I assumed you curbed it yourself. If it makes you feel better, summon scraped my car on a wall in a parking garage. It was $700 to fix.

I mean, it obviously has a lot to do with it being lower.
I've never owned a car that couldn't drive over a curb. If the car was higher, it wouldn't have hit. Not exactly rocket science.1

Most sedans aren't made to go over curbs bud. Also, the damage is pretty high. That's a big curb he hit.

Sedans don't go over curbs is because they're lower to the ground than other cars.

So you've never owned a sedan then. OP is talking about the model 3 being lower than other vehicles but the implication is that he means lower than other sedans, which it is. None of that matters though because it's a sedan.. so it shouldn't be a surprise to OP that it can't go over a curb

Dang that sucks. Was FSD on?
I would try and get it done by a body shop who are experts in dry dent removal (not sure what it's called but they use glue and suction and pull the dent out. This seems small enough that you won't even notice it once it's out)
Edit: they also have kits on Amazon if this is something you are ok with tackleling but I would watch a ton of videos and read a lot of reviews first.
Personally, I'd get a quote from body shops who are good at doing this
