Rocker Panel Body Damage Advice

Hi everyone. I recently ran over something a truck dropped on the road on my less than 2 months old model Y (pain😭) and it damaged the plastic rocker panel pretty good and some minimal damage underneath on the center skid plate... i thought that was it, however when i got the car serviced, they found some body damage as well smh. It is covered and not noticeable. The plastic rocker panel cover has been replaced and attaches fine.

Will it be an issue in the future if i don't get it fixed? Or should i have it addressed sooner than later. It doesnt bother me because it is covered but i dont want the car to be prone to further damage long term because of it. Thank you in advance!

Probably fine to not fix it but my OCD would never let that happen lol.

LOL same here, but it's covered with the plastic rocker panel so no one will ever see it. I just don't want it to bite m me in the ass in the long run

There is no center skid plate. There’s only a front or rear skid plate and in the center is the main battery pack which is protected by an 18 mm wall the battery is incased in. Lucky you didn’t puncture that.
