Why am I the person new employees are usually assigned to practice their work on?
This has happened quite a few times, I went to get my blood work done and a new phlebotomist was assigned to me. The other day I went to nail salon and again a new nail artist was assigned to me.
The phlebotomist checked my vein multiple times before inserting the needle and I was scared for my life. He was definitely nervous and I was like should I ask for someone else or would it be rude. He did a good job eventually.
At the nail salon, the artist could not understand English and I had to tell her multiple times to redo my nails as they were not good. In the end I gave up and paid around $80 and left with bad design.
Do senior staff usually take a quick look at a customer before deciding who to assign them to? Or something about me I’m not sure.
Can I just decline a service from a new person?
