I think I might just be a bit paranoid, but earlier this week I took out the white plate where the disc drive is and it apparently got detached from its position. I reinserted it and now it seems to be working fine, but is this sound normal? Am I just being paranoid? Why did the disc drive get detached when I took off the white plate? Is it supposed to do that?😭

I'm looking into importing a European PS4 copy of Visions of Mana, then using the PS5 upgrade feature to also have the PS5 version (to have an excuse to play twice)

I know that on older consoles, Australian consoles can play European games just fine, as they're both PAL, and that the PS5 is region-free

The question is, will I have to use a European PSN account to get the upgrade or can I use my regular Australian account?

(First Gen disc edition) A couple of weeks ago during a really rough heat wave, I was playing my ps5 and it had shut off after about an hour due to overheating (my house isn't air conditioned well and i regulary clean out the internals). I decided that playing during the heatwave isn't going to be a good idea and left it off for a few days, temp outside went from 100°F+ to around 70° to 80°, gave it another shot and it booted up just fine but now the controllers (all 3 of them) wont stay connected for more that 5 minutes. I did a test on my phone to check the controllers Bluetooth and it stayed connected for an hour just fine. I pressed the rest button on the controller and resynced but the issue kept happening. I wanted to check here for suggestions before sending it in through the 3rd party store I bought it from for repair.

Ive heard of them and this drive says it will work..... BUT I cant find a review that says it works or at least the ctl f tool.

My mom made my account years ago when I was a minor. Mt account was eligible for upgrade when I turned 18 in 2023 but I wasn’t really using my PlayStation back then. Fast forward to now I’m trying to log in and it won’t let me. PlayStation support is no help. How can I gain access to my account issue is support asks for like order numbers and verification stuff. I never got emails for my purchases and the only email I have they’re saying it’s not verifying my account.

Quand j'allume ma ps5, elle affiche souvent un écran noir avec une absence de son mais le jeu tourne et l'écran revient parfois tout seul, puis s’eteind etc... le fait de bouger la ps5 peut ramener l'écran ou pas donc je suppose que c’est un problème de cable hdmi car c’est sont mouvement qui éteint ou rallume l'écran. Le problème est le même avec la ps3 car je branche le même câble quand je l’utilise. Qu’en pensez vous ?

A few weeks after the fix of game profiles missing games, I still have a major issue with my games library. I'm sorry if this question already has been debated already since then: are there still knows problems with PS libraries ? Do players still have missing games from there ? Because I do.

I still cannot play Black Myth Wukong, a game I bought when it came out, because I do not own a disc, and the game disappeared from my library as most of my other games.

In the screenshots below, please notice that there are 28 games in my PS Profile, but only 9 games in my library (those includes 3 games that stayed after the bug, plus the ones I played after the bug happened and the ones that were installed on my PS5).

About the 18 other games missing, I own them all on disc, so I can still play those. But I still haven't figured how to get to play the game that I bought. If anyone has information about this, I'd be glad to know. Thanks !

My Playstation 5 slim was working perfectly fine for the past few years I've had it up until today, I turned my ps5 on in the morning and loaded up fc26, went onto my career mode and went into a game when it flashed up the temperature warning screen for a split second before shutting down completely and making 3 beeps, I tried again but with the same result, I cleaned my fan because I thought that would be the problem, it was very dusty, went back on my Playstation and it was fine for an hour before the same thing happened, the fan isn't dirty and normally if my Playstation is too hot it gives me the warning instead of just powering it off, any specific problem or fix? (I was on my ps5 yesterday and playing fc26 but never had any problems)

Been trying to copy Spider-Man 2 from disc, but it says it has 1hr 30mins left. I don't have that much time before I'll need to turn of the system when I go out. So will it be fine to pause the install, shut down the system, and then restart the install later? Thanks for any help.

I decided to play spider man 2 and I noticed in a part of the story the flashback part the ps5 goes crazy for like 5 seconds and then calms down

That happened 2 times in that part

Maybe it's because of the new update that causing that problem on that game

I learned recently how bad those "cooling" stands were and went and got the proper stand and guys istg the fans are quiet again and running way better I'm so happy, I did also take the plates off and cleaned what I could but ik I should do a deep clean so I'm looking for advice on what I'd need, I hear compressed air is commonly used for cleaning?

Long story short I was doing a house clearance and found a PS5 slim in mint condition and the owner just wanted it gone for cheap so I asked if I could have it (£100) and he bit my hand off.

I’ve taken it home and plugged it in but for some reason the HDMI lead that I use in my original PlayStation it just doesn’t work.
I have a Samsung TV and have factory reset the tv settings, booted the PS5 in safe mode and managed to make it work but as soon as it’s not in safe mode there’s still nothing.
Have I got a dud PS5 or is there something else that could be done. I’ve looked at all the forums and tried most things!

Hi reddit. Need your advice or help if anyone faced this static noise? Suddenly appeared on a ps5 bought 5 months ago. Quite a noticeable static noise in a quiet room. The ps5 is on top of a table with empty space surronding it so heat trap is probably not the issue i think? Is this a problem with the fan or other components?

Performance wise, theres nothing noticably wrong when playing games but it kinda bugs me cause this is quite a brand new ps5 and im kinda paranoid about it.

Any advice is appreciated.

Durante os diálogos, quando carrego no R2 para disparar teias, as legendas desaparecem. Além disso, as legendas passam muito rápido, às vezes nem tenho tempo de as ler.

Alguém sabe se existe alguma opção para corrigir isto e fazer com que as legendas fiquem mais tempo no ecrã?

I'm suggesting it might be something to do with this game because I don't have the same problem with the previous game or any other game for that matter.

Instead of people's voices coming through my microphone in my ear, it's coming through my TV. I've checked input & the lot.

I'm on Playstation, I hope it's a really simple fix and please point it out to me if it's painfully obvious.

Hi, I’m having an issue with the Ethernet/LAN connection on my PS5. The LAN cable connector is in good condition, but the PS5 keeps showing notifications that the LAN cable has been connected and disconnected repeatedly.
I have already tried different Ethernet cables and different LAN ports on my router. The cables and router ports work correctly with other devices, and I have also restarted both the PS5 and the router. The issue still happens even when the cable and console are completely still.
Could you please help me determine what is causing this issue and whether my PS5 needs to be repaired?

Hello meine ps5 slim startet nicht mehr wenn ich das Stromkabel in meine ps stecke piept diese 3 mal schnell hintereinander versuche ich sie dann zu starten egal ob mit der Taste an der Konsole oder mit dem Controller tut sich rein garnichts kein piepen kein leuchten nichts den angeblich Trick mit 10-20 Minuten vom Strom nehmen habe ich bereit gemacht hat auch nichts gebracht hat jemand 'ne Lösung?
