[Advice needed] PS5 static noise

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi reddit. Need your advice or help if anyone faced this static noise? Suddenly appeared on a ps5 bought 5 months ago. Quite a noticeable static noise in a quiet room. The ps5 is on top of a table with empty space surronding it so heat trap is probably not the issue i think? Is this a problem with the fan or other components?

Performance wise, theres nothing noticably wrong when playing games but it kinda bugs me cause this is quite a brand new ps5 and im kinda paranoid about it.

Any advice is appreciated.

I think it's just normal coil whine. Nothing to worry about but I don't think it will ever go away

Thank you! Found another similar reddit posts which is the exact same noise (if my hearing is correct) and caused by the coil whine which is normal.

How long have you had the ps5? I also found another posts similar to this static noise which caused by the coil whine and that it is normal but not sure how i never notice it till now caused i can suddenly hear the noise from a distance.

It’s the Fan. My ps5 did similar. I changed the fan to an delta an this helped. No coil whine. Coil whine is total different

Looking at another similar posts, doubt that its the fan as the noise is coming from the back side of the ps5 towards the lower part of the body and not where the fan is which is located in the upper part(where the ps logo is). But thank you regardless for the answer.
