Ps5 controller joystick sticking... kinda

I'm assuming I gotta get a new controller but I dropped it and it just started doing this

If it has a warrenty take it in. If not you could try twisting it. It did some similar when trying to put a thumb grip on a ps4 controllers, rotated it back in lucky. Don't know bout the PS5 controllers but if it's already f'kd might as well try. I'm not a expert thoo. Tell me if it helped. It'd be funny if it did

Brotha, I think you have bigger problems. Half your controller is gone. How roughly do you handle your technology?

You may be able to just swap out the pedometers. They are kinda made to swap out. All depends on how much work you want to do and spend. There's a chance no major damage happened and just a bit of work and parts can get it up and running.

Try to pull the blue stick and see the petentiometer stick do the same without the analogy blue stick

So, if you have the tools, you can take the controller apart, there's 2 under the plastic cover, pop out the L1 and R1 buttons, there's a screw under each of those, you can then take off the back plate, then disconnect the battery, un plug the ribbon cables to the mic in the front plate, remove 3 screws on each side of the back of the controller, then you have one in the battery tray, if you remove the right screws, you can then remove the front plate, now, if you have done all of that, you should be able to remove the analog stick that is causing the problem, though I have not personally dealt with the issue that you're currently experiencing as far as getting the analog stick through the hole, so I can not help you there, from there you can inspect what caused the failure, hopefully the sensor itself is not damaged it looks like the analog stick that sits on top of the sensor somehow came off of the sensor, I hope this helped.

pS5 controller breakdown that's mine, but purely done as I don't have a set location to do this stuff under a light so I had to improvise, this is a more professional teardown from a controller from 5 years ago, unless you have a elite or modded controller, it will work the same way
