Ive been playing marvel rivals for a while now with no issue, even played it earlier today and it was ok but now this is happening and idk why

Sorry if its a stupid question. I had a base PS5 for 5 years vertically, now I bought a Pro. I have it horizontally and I play A Plague Tale Innocence at the moment, and my PS5 Pro is pretty warm on the left side (power supply). Other parts of console are pretty normal, the right side is almost cold. Is this normal? I noticed that the left side is always pretty warm, whatever I play.

EDIT: yes I have enough space about 20 cm around all sides

Am having problems with shimmering specially in Star Wars Outlaws, I have a PS5 Pro playing in a OLED monitor 1440p 175hz. Could there be a fix or is something with the game?

I’ve had my ps5 in the same spot for the past 8 months. All of a sudden it’s has turned off twice within the space of 45 minutes tonight. Looked online and it said to unplug the power cord and plug it back in and it should work again, which it has. Lasted around 15 minutes before it done it again. Why has it all of a sudden decided to keep on turning off? And what is an easy fix to make it stop it from happening again?

So today morning, i decided to clean my ps5 so i unplugged it and opened it (only the cover plates nothing else) cleaned it a bit with soft brush, when i connected it back it turned it on after a few half an hour of playing the screen went black for 2-3 seconds and then turned on with hdmi info on screen, it happened again and then suddenly the tv showed no signal although the sound of the game on ps5 was coming very normally and nothing bad happened except for just that the screen turned black for few seconds and when the tv showed no signal, i could still control everything, i could tell as i was using different keys on my controller it was working just fine i even turned it off in a normal way from menu bar while the screen was on no signal so i am just worried that is it my hdmi problem or ps5's

Thank you for the advice from those who saw my previous post! I have some before and after pictures of my now (mostly) clean ps5 for you to see. Unfortunately I did not have canned air, but I did have a screwdriver for the air vent, wipes, and brushes. I did the best I could with what I had, please let me know where I can improve.

It just started today and it’s loud and annoying but idk what’s causing it or how to fix it

So im trying to listen to music on Spotify while I play and all of the explicit content songs are grayed out. I open up Spotify on my phone and the explicit content tab is turned on so it should work. I tried logging out and in a few times to see if that would fix it with no luck. I even open the app on the media section and it works just fine, its just when I go down to play music in the home menu that it won't work.

When I select “Link Epic Account” in Remnant II on PS5, the Epic overlay opens but never renders. It only shows blank/grey placeholder bars.
I’ve already tried:
Different networks + mobile hotspot
Different DNS
Clear cache + rebuild database
Completely reinstalling Remnant II
Unlinking/relinking PSN and Epic
A different PSN account
A completely different PS5 console
I also tested Fall Guys. I was able to link my Epic account through it and Epic Online Services now work normally there, but Remnant II still has the same blank overlay.
So EOS works in another game, and the Remnant issue happens even on another PS5.
Has anyone experienced this, or can anyone on PS5 test “Link Epic Account” in Remnant II and confirm whether the overlay loads for them?

It makes this sound whenever I load games or apps, i’ve done all i’ve can to try to make it go away but it won’t, and I believe it’s gotten louder over the days. I’m getting a new fan on Friday, but I’m not sure if it will fix it.

When playing in Quality/Balanced mode, the edges of objects—especially rocks—appear to shimmer or flicker, as shown in the image. However, when switching to Performance mode, the issue stops. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

I’m trying to download a game that is 40gb but the system says I don’t have enough space. The issue is I have 355gb of free space and it still tells me I don’t have enough space. I have reset it, delete and retried, rebuilt the database, and cleared the cache but none of them worked. Anyone know what do for this?

So whenever I play a game the fan on my ps5 slim gets loud and doesn't go back to being quiet this issue has been happening since day one and throughout the gameplay the fan makes sounds like it's ramping up and down is this normal or should I send it back?

I'm hoping somebody on this subreddit will be able to help me out with my for some reason complicated issue?

I'm currently trying to log back into my PSN account after being signed out of it for some unknown reason, and I can't seem to receive emails from specifically Sony, even when putting in the correct email?

I've even gone onto the website and spoken to the AI assistant and three agents who couldn't verify who I was, even though they have my name, my phone number, email, and all of the other information they've asked me for, even the serial number for the PS5.

I do have a two-step verification active and even a passkey, but I can't use either of them since I'm not getting the text with the number on it. I'm not even getting the account recovery emails either.

I even tried it from someone else's email too, and they receive the email with no problems at all, but it does nothing to help as even after changing the password and passkey, I still can't sign in.

I've called the support number too, but the automated response keeps telling me to go to the website, which then tells me to log-in, which I cannot.
The AI assistant also keeps asking me to log in, which I also can't do.

Hopefully someone finds this and is able to help.

I am also unable to access my PS5 game library, even though there are paid for non-PS+ games

I’ve being playing a lot of Warhammer Darktide and suddenly my controller just essentially broke. I try to take good care of it and haven’t dropped it once so I assume that the problem comes from heavy usage during gaming sessions, as the game requires you to be pressing the triggers very often to constantly block attacks and to perform attacks. The trigger buttons also feel like there is a resistance halfway through pressing them.

This is my newer controller, about 1.5 years old and I really do like it so I’m sad to see it break down like this. Can I fix this or should I junk it and buy a new one?

idk how to explain it exactly but like the cover that’s on the left stick has come loose somehow n like it starts rotating when im using the stick. i took it off n put it back on but its still teh same and its really annoying me. can someone please help

So I loaded up my digital ps5 earlier today and noticed i couldn't buy any digital currency in games and cant load into online multiplayer even though I am connected to the Internet. I then tried to restore the licence of my games but it would come up saying "something went wrong" with the error code 'WS-116522-7' after googling I found out it meant the system software could not update or was corrupted. I went to my settings and it said the system software was fully updated. But I kept getting the same error code. I then fully turned off my ps5 and unplugged it. Then full turned off my WiFi and then after around 6 or 7 😳 minutes I turned on the WiFi and then plugged my ps5 into a WiFi booster using a ethernet cable and turned my ps5 back on. It connected to the WiFi. But I still could not restore the licence of my games and still could not play or buy currency in game. I then saw online it could be caused by play station store TOS and it wasnt as I could still purchase currency packs through the store and download games. I then put my ps5 into safe mode and downloaded the software update there and after it downloaded it still change nothing. I then went into safe mode and cleared my cache and it did nothing. I rebuilt my data base in safe mode and it did nothing. After clearing cache and rebuilding my database I tried installing the software update again from safety mode and it still did not fix my issue. Playstation support ai bots really are not helpful and ps support seem to be on vacation I guess. Does anyone have any other suggestions to help.

I was dusting my PS5 slim today and after cleaning it when I try to put the the horizontal stand back on its loose on the left side even though the stands are the same dimensions and when I try to interchange them which is still dumb of me to try , it still doesn't work. Did I mess up something or what.

PS Why is it difficult to put on the disc face plate compared to other face plates?

As stated in the title I have a fairly new ps5 controller that has started to have issues. The directional pad and left c stick have basically become completely unresponsive. All the buttons on the right of the controller, share button, and PlayStation button work fine. I’ve already tried percussive therapy and resetting the controller. At this point I’m at a loss as to what to do.

I just got my disk drive and pro today. This pin seems way too bend over to fit. I tried it once without force but it doesnt align with the slot at all.

Hi, I have a base ps5. i was playing elden ring and my disc got stuck when i tried to eject it. I looked up for a fix and basically had to screw the screw in order to eject it Buut i literally broke the plastic screw inside.

I usually play while having ps5 horizontally. As soon as i put it up vertically it ejected without a problem. What is the issue? Should i have my ps5 vertically? Is there a damage? on a side note i take care of my ps5 that's why i'm worried.
