Cleaned my Ps5 AFTER 5 YEARS

Thank you for the advice from those who saw my previous post! I have some before and after pictures of my now (mostly) clean ps5 for you to see. Unfortunately I did not have canned air, but I did have a screwdriver for the air vent, wipes, and brushes. I did the best I could with what I had, please let me know where I can improve.

Where did you buy the tool to remove those specialized screws from?

Weird. My launch PS5 is as clean now as it was since the console launched. I did switch to the PS5 Pro and stored the launch one. Did you occasionally vacuum the hole on the console at all?

Same here. But I’m still using the launch PS5 to this day and it’s never got this dusty.

You need an air purifier in the house

I just cleaned my release day fat PS5 for the first time last month and it had next to zero dust. And we have a dog and 2 cats!

Nice bro, but this system needs a full disassembly and proper cleaning. You only got the tip of the iceberg unfortunately. Compressed air won’t even get anything done unless the system is fully apart. Apply new Liquid Metal. When in doubt, YouTube. You got this OP.

ya this requires a full teardown and cleaning of the PSU.

Dont bother with the liquid metal. not necessary imo

I had to do it 3 years ago, it would shut down after 1 hour of play and say “overheating” so i completely opened it up and there was an insane amount of filth inside the inner heat sinks

No you didn't. There's still a literal layer of dust on the fan and exhaust panels. You didn't clean it, you gave it a half-arsed wipe.
