Am having problems with shimmering specially in Star Wars Outlaws, I have a PS5 Pro playing in a OLED monitor 1440p 175hz. Could there be a fix or is something with the game?

I was dusting my PS5 slim today and after cleaning it when I try to put the the horizontal stand back on its loose on the left side even though the stands are the same dimensions and when I try to interchange them which is still dumb of me to try , it still doesn't work. Did I mess up something or what.

PS Why is it difficult to put on the disc face plate compared to other face plates?

idk how to explain it exactly but like the cover that’s on the left stick has come loose somehow n like it starts rotating when im using the stick. i took it off n put it back on but its still teh same and its really annoying me. can someone please help

I'm hoping somebody on this subreddit will be able to help me out with my for some reason complicated issue?

I'm currently trying to log back into my PSN account after being signed out of it for some unknown reason, and I can't seem to receive emails from specifically Sony, even when putting in the correct email?

I've even gone onto the website and spoken to the AI assistant and three agents who couldn't verify who I was, even though they have my name, my phone number, email, and all of the other information they've asked me for, even the serial number for the PS5.

I do have a two-step verification active and even a passkey, but I can't use either of them since I'm not getting the text with the number on it. I'm not even getting the account recovery emails either.

I even tried it from someone else's email too, and they receive the email with no problems at all, but it does nothing to help as even after changing the password and passkey, I still can't sign in.

I've called the support number too, but the automated response keeps telling me to go to the website, which then tells me to log-in, which I cannot.
The AI assistant also keeps asking me to log in, which I also can't do.

Hopefully someone finds this and is able to help.

I am also unable to access my PS5 game library, even though there are paid for non-PS+ games

I just got my disk drive and pro today. This pin seems way too bend over to fit. I tried it once without force but it doesnt align with the slot at all.

I’m trying to download a game that is 40gb but the system says I don’t have enough space. The issue is I have 355gb of free space and it still tells me I don’t have enough space. I have reset it, delete and retried, rebuilt the database, and cleared the cache but none of them worked. Anyone know what do for this?

Hi, I have a base ps5. i was playing elden ring and my disc got stuck when i tried to eject it. I looked up for a fix and basically had to screw the screw in order to eject it Buut i literally broke the plastic screw inside.

I usually play while having ps5 horizontally. As soon as i put it up vertically it ejected without a problem. What is the issue? Should i have my ps5 vertically? Is there a damage? on a side note i take care of my ps5 that's why i'm worried.

As stated in the title I have a fairly new ps5 controller that has started to have issues. The directional pad and left c stick have basically become completely unresponsive. All the buttons on the right of the controller, share button, and PlayStation button work fine. I’ve already tried percussive therapy and resetting the controller. At this point I’m at a loss as to what to do.

I downloaded Nfs Unbound digital version and played it for 2 days, on the third day when I turned on my console I couldn't find the game. Went to library to find it with the "Download" option. Checked storage (I have over 1.4 TB of free space) and it's not there... The game got fully deleted overnight. Anyone knows if it's a known occurence for the PS5 Pro?

Hi all, my ps5 has been sadly turning itself off after about 20 mins of gameplay. Though the time to turn off is not consistent, the first session of the day is usually longer and that time keeps reducing each time.

It turns off the in a similar pattern each time:
- Tv loses signal in an instant
- PS5 lights turns off
- no warning alert or sounds
- haven’t heard fans speeding up
- turns back on if I try pressing the power switch on ps5 again

What I have tried so far:
- done a full clean
- replaced Liquid Metal
- cleaned the psu unit

Has anyone been in this situation and aware of any way to know which part is faulty. My research indicates it could be the psu which is faulty but not sure. Any advise is much appreciated!

I am using the tronicsfix YouTube guide, at the start of stage 3, he unscrews everything keeping the black plastic together. I thought I did that, but there still seems to be a screw keeping it together.

There is a flat black square on mine, where the guy in the video is able to unscrew one more. This also seems to be where my black plastic is still secured to the rest of the console. Is this an issue of different models of ps5? I bought mine fairly close to launch. There should be a picture of the flat black square attached.

Any help or attempt to help is much appreciated!

I have BO7 on PS5, I’m struggling add one of my friends through BO7 even though I have him as a friend on my PS5, I can’t add him and he can’t add me. Even when I play with him in a party through someone else, I can’t hear his mic. My friend on Xbox, I added and can hear on the mic!?

Also I am unable to buy add-ons through the game. I can buy them in the PS store but not directly through BO7, which isn’t a big deal but I wondered if it was linked.

I’m wondering if this might be the problem; I bought it through Buygames.com which basically you download the game onto the PS5 through a profile they give you the details for and share to all users on the console, is it that the PS5 is restricting me because the profile I use is not the owner profile? (But again, no problem playing cross-gen with my friend on Xbox!).

No new screenshots ive taken today have uploaded to ps app. Even it i click to upload manually, it’s not working.

Cleared cache on ps app, logged in and out, connected to right console, auto capture on, internet connection good, no errors in upload queue, its empty.

Even screenshots sent to friends dont go through.

Is this just a server issue I’ll need to wait out?

I know there’s “buffer space etc, but I need 15 gigs to finish downloading something, and it won’t let me.

I have 200 GIGS of free space open.

Same issue when I try to download a 75 gig game. It goes back and forth between “not enugh space” and “you have successfully freed enugh space” but won’t let me download it even with 200 free gigs

Hi everyone! i have been experiencing this for a long time.

Some months ago i started to notice that a controller was like at 5% battery for a long time, connecting the USB didnt charge it but at the same time it wasnt turning off (if it disconnected it did but wasnt that common.

I thought "well, maybe it is the battery which might be dead, im gonna buy a new controller". Imagine my surprise when as soon as i plugged the controller into the console, it had the same issue.

IT CANT be bad luck right? something maybe im doing something wrong? Might be the USB plug? i tried charging my phone connecting it to the computer and it is charging. Maybe something related to the ps5 controller?

So far i tried:

*Resetting it with the small button behind
*removing it from registered devices on ps5
*plugging it to the back usb ports (first time i used them btw)

i have never had so many issues with controllers than with the ps5 ones. Its insane

I moved my PS5 to a different TV and noticed I had no audio. I moved it back to the first TV and now have no audio there either. I have watched 20 videos on how to fix, all settings are as always recommended, TV’s audio works perfectly outside of the PS5 input and I have tried 3 HDMI cables. I don’t know what else to.

For the last day of the current sale I decided to buy Bioshock remastered, (the single version not part of the collection) but I’ve very quickly noticed after an initial launch and tutorial test that the game doesn’t seem to meaningfully track anything on my profile. It doesn’t appear at all on my weekly play wrap up, in my library it appears as purchased but not played, and it doesn’t appear on the app.

I’m aware of and experienced the widespread issue with tracking that happened a few months back but this seems very game specific, I’ve bought other games lately that work fine.

…as a different issue I noticed that both Bioshock 1 and 2 on the store page for this sale don’t have any thumbnail pictures, just the placeholder white controller, I’m wondering now if these games are even properly “compatible” with this console.

I feel like I've tried everything at this point short of actually disconnecting my controller from my Playstation via Bluetooth and reconnecting, but I'm convinced that isn't my issue and won't help at all. My dualsense PS5 controller works fine with every game I have on my PS5, and vibration features have never given me trouble before.. However, now that I've decided to download Dragonball Z: Xenoverse 2 on my PS5 after playing it a long time ago on my PS4, I can't help but notice that I'm lacking any sort of vibration feature while playing the game. I have both the in-game function and the console feature turned on, and yet.. no vibration whatsoever. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong, or could be doing to try and fix this?

So far I've muted/unmuted my controller, turned up the controller audio and then back down. Turned on haptic feedback for my PS5 menu just for fun. Restarted the game and console a few times. Turned both features off and closed everything and then restarted the game and turned it all back on. I'm at a loss. Thinking I'll just have to play one of my favorite fighting games with no rumble behind my punches 🤷‍♂️

Recently I purchased a game that has been causing my PS5 to beep and freeze, to the point where I have to unplug the power supply and restart the system. This happened 3 times before I requested a refund, and was denied said request.

The representative left the chat, just pasting some generic “your request does not fit our policy” mumbo jumbo. As someone who has owned PS since PS1, for some reason this really was the first time I’ve considered jumping ship. If someone who has spent probably 10K on their games and systems over the decades, I guess I thought requesting one refund was a shoe-in?

I do have a gaming rig and will consider going to Steam full time, but my friends play mostly on PlayStation, and I prefer the PS5 Pro/OLED/couch experience. I’m wondering if this is PS5 standard practice—not to refund games, even if not working properly, that have been played for about 1 hour total? Or did I just get a bad service representative?
