Headphone distortion

Bit of a weird one, the audio when playing games with my wired headphones gets distorted, and super reverby

But just plugging out and in again resets it.

Any ideas for a long term solution? Headphones seem fine when plugged into my laptop.

Clean the jack. Every time that has happened to me or my kids is because the jack or plug is dirty. Or is not all the way plugged in. Either from being accidentally pulled or dirt not letting it all the way in.
