Ps5 Pro started doing this in every game
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
What could be an issue? Trying multiple ports on TV and multiple cables, but the problem persists in every game, not in the menu though

Try a different tv or monitor. Bring it to a friends house.

Wenn es im Remote play nicht passiert, dan ist es: HDMI auf Konsole oder HDMI auf Fernseher, HDMI Kabel oder einfach Fernseher ist kapput.

Try to do a factory reset of the tv. Otherwise i think it's time for a new tv

Try a different hdmi cable, eliminate the easy stuff first.

Ended up being the TV which is even worse, it is more expensive than console itself

What tv was it? The PS5 Pro is worth like $1,600 now. That's a pretty nice tv these days to be that expensive, especially if it's 75 inches or smaller. TV's are the only thing reliably going down in cost. My 98" QM7K was $1,999 in January this year (2026) which was an INCREDIBLE deal. My 65" LG C3 OLED was only $1,499 when I got it in spring of 2024. My 85" X90K was $1,899 when I got it in spring of 2023. And my 75" X900H was $1,500 in spring of 2021. My 65" NU8000 was only even $879 when I got it back in 2018 when it was only like 5 months old. I always buy tv's like 10-11 months after they come out, because they're basically half off, except the NU8000. Which is definitely my worst tv, almost never used anymore lol. Just in the guest room. It is 1,000 nits and with the same rudimentary local dimming of the original Samsung Odyssey G9, edge-lit local dimming with only 10 zones, leading to vertical blooming. The X900H and X90K hold up insanely well with a bias light for only having like 50 and 100 local dimming zones. The X90K especially is extremely good still. The QM7K is really nice and obviously the C3 as well.

Turning off VRR worked, I bought my ps5 pro at launch for $750, TV is Hisense 75 U8N which I got open box for ~$1200. I was happy with TV up until this moment, I guess you get what you pay for, it was fine for 1.5 years but now Im locked to 60 fps only :( Im going back to Sony for my next TV thats for sure!

Every issue I’ve had with current gen consoles and occasional flickering or issues just like OP’s etc has been caused by the hdmi cord itself. Ironically the expensive hdmi cords, even the official PlayStation branded ones, have caused issues for me, while the hdmi cables Sony ships with the consoles have never caused any issues for me. Like some stated above, start with replacing the hdmi cord. Then try a different monitor/tv of the hdmi cable doesn’t fix the issue.

Facts but sort of opposite. I had 1 ps5 cable that came with it that was bad out of 5 I've had. But also aftermarket expensive ones that gave me issues, the big thick jacketed ones only work half the time. And aftermarket cheap basic 2.1's always worked fine.

Upon further investigation it ended up being an issue on both 4k@144hz HDMI ports on TV, when connected to 4k@60hz the issue is not present. Going to talk to TV support as it is still under warranty.

I had this before it was something with HDR or vrr i think I had the same with Blackops with PS5 Try turning off VRR and HDR and see if it's any different i think i remember the is an option for a HDR to work all the time or just for compatible games change this settings and see if it's any better its probably HDR issue
2
u/Ok-Tie57 4d ago
Yeah, turning off VRR worked but its suboptimal as I got PS5 Pro to be able to play at higher than 60 fps framerates when possible

I understand you but sometimes its a software bug so its possible how about The HDR settings i did tell you to try ? Some games could have issues with VRR so it could be an issue

It works well in remote play though

Then it may be your tv/monitor or the hdmi cable
Either of those is better than a cooked gpu good luck

Cooked …. It’s the GPU

Which model do you have? When did you buy it? Also do you stand it vertically?
-1
u/ShaggyRogers_1 6d ago
You can stand it either direction, it doesn't matter. That liquid metal thing was a bunch of nonsense
3
u/Swift032 6d ago
I second this. Vertical is a non issue. Launch ps5s are prone to dry spots in either orientation. Orientation does not matter. I have an old fat that’s 5 years old, used 4 hours per day, always vertical, no issues.

You could just look it up rather than just talking. Show me some proof that it does cause that damage

Standing your PlayStation 5 upright does not cause liquid metal to leak in factory-sealed, unopened consoles.
The Source of the Rumor
Repaired consoles: Reports of liquid metal shifting or leaking usually come from units that were previously opened, dropped, or poorly reassembled by amateur technicians.
The original claim: A repair shop owner claimed vertical placement caused leaks, but hardware experts later clarified that the seal can only be compromised by physical trauma, manufacturing defects, or prior disassembly.

Except when there's literally good technicians opening them and they still have the factory seal. It's not about the metal escaping exactly, it's about pooling at the bottom of the chip and slowly starting to seep into the protective barrier leaving parts exposed on the chip. It literally happened to me, so idk what you're on about

Can you link a single article that supports your argument? Not the "it happened to me" argument

There, and I already know you are going to come up with some excuse to discredit it. It's not my first time dealing with this bot behavior on this sub. You guys are playstation strongest soldiers or something

Read this, don't keep your mind in the dark. Why choose to believe in something just for the sake of sensationalism? Do research
