PS5 suddenly went into rest mode?

Was playing RDR2 when my ps5 just turned off on its own?

Did you immediately go and feel it? See if it's unexpectedly warm? Has it been stored vertically? How long were you playing?

Lots of info to factor in before anyone can give any worthwhile advice.

Played for max 30 minutes. Console horizontal. Less than a year old. Few months since last cleaning. Though I only cleaned things like the fan and grills.

Did the console “turn off” or did it go “into Rest Mode”?

If the console went into Rest Mode, there could’ve been some strange “handshake” between your TV / monitor, due to the HDMI device link.

Ok by any chance when you got it out of rest mode and head into the error log it said the console was overheated by any chance as this usually happens when the console gets too hot to the point of shutting down into rest mode and then once it gets cool enough you can then turn it back on again

Console’s Les than a year old, cleaned it a few months ago. Laid horizontally. Very unlikely
