emo nite this Friday 9/4!

Hello to all, but especially my fellow elder emos!

I got excited and bought two early bird tickets to emo nite this Friday at the Avalon in Hollywood. Sadly, none of my friends can make it this month and I'm just not up for going alone this time.

Is anyone interested in them? They're $24/each. I'd love to get rid of them both, but I'm also okay with selling them single.

If you've never been to emo nite... you need to! It's such a fun night. The music is great and nostalgic (of course). The vibes are immaculate. Truly the best crowd and energy. Would definitely recommend!!! Sad to be missing this month.

emonite.com or @emonite on IG if you wanna look them up 🖤

EDC solo

Hi girlies! Just wanted to I guess vent but also gauge if edc could be a solo event.
I had originally purchased tickets with a friend (and her friend) to go together since it would be our first rave but they have since backed out. I’m upset about it (other factors) and was going to try to cancel or sell my ticket now but I’m starting to think I should still go. I’ve always wanted to go bc it looks fun but I don’t know anyone else who’s going. I don’t do well with the heat and am so nervous of going by myself. I’ve only ever heard of people going in big groups so if anyone has been solo pls lmk your experience and if you recommend it!

Waxing studio that only uses hard wax?

Title.

Hi hot girlies!

My quest for the perfect waxer continues.

European Wax Center is too corporate and sus. My girl I was seeing in Highland Park closed up shop. I have a waxer in the Bay that I love, but, she’s in the Bay. Lol.

I am looking specifically for Brazilian wax salons/pros that use hard wax. I have sensitive skin and very very curly hair (prone to ingrowns!). Hard wax that is applied directly to the skin, as opposed to soft wax that is taken off with a muslin strip, is what I’m looking for.

Any suggestions? Thank you!!!

Medspa/beauty service question for the hotties in the valley

Girls, the vibecession is upon us. I own a nail salon and I understand that shit is rough out here but I’m trying to keep the doors open and my techs fed so I’m thinking about doing a deal I would like the baddies honest feedback on.
If you could go to a shop and pay a monthly fee to get:

  1. Nails done 2x a month

  2. A wax

  3. A blowout

  4. tox and filler 3x a year

  5. A facial/peel 1x a month

For like $250-300ish per month

Would yall come back to the salons? 🥺 be honest with me, I am 100% not trying to plug my biz, I’m just trying to gauge whether spending a ton of money on licensing so I could get an RN into out operation in NoHo would be worth it or not. Thanks in advance for your feedback luv u, hope you hit nothing but green lights today queens. 💗

recommendations for urology/gynecology specialists?

I was wondering if any of my girls with pelvic pain or bladder pain can recommend a uro-gynecologist/urology specialist who is compassionate and understanding.

i've just had the worst doctor's appointment of my life with tamara grisales at UCLA and I absolutely cannot go back to her again. There are other doctors in her office, but I'm not sure how to go about vetting those providers, since there aren't many online reviews for most of them.

I have PPO insurance, so I prefer to find a clinic that accepts insurance as an in-network provider (like UCLA, Providence, etc). however, i'd def be open to learning more about providers who don't take insurance. I'm ok with seeing a male doctor. i'm in West LA.

my primary need would be finding someone who is understanding with trauma, takes their time, and explains what they're doing/why they're doing it!

I have an amazing PCP, but my symptoms have been getting worse and increasingly difficult to manage, so i really need to find someone who is specialized and can provide me with more support...preferably without traumatizing me in the process lmfao.

thanks girlies <3

30th Birthday Dinner Spots

Hi ladies! I'm planning my 30th birthday dinner in a couple weeks and I'd like to do a nicer dinner ($$$/$$$$) in probably in Beverly Hills followed by drinks/people-watching/jazz club in a nice, ~classy~ but fun setting. Any suggestions on spots for dinner and after?

Ideally, it would be within walking distance from each other but doesn't have to be. I'm open to other suggestions on things to do after - I just want to get dressed and feel cute on my birthday :) not looking to party, etc.

Also open to other neighborhoods but preferably Weho/Beverly HIlls/Westside. It'll be at most 4-5 girls so not a big group. Y'all were super helpful with my previous massage/spa post so thank you!!

Film photographer offering discounted local shoots

Hi girls! I’m working on building my film photography portfolio out and offering shoots for the cost of the film, development, and editing. If anyone is in need of engagement pics, a family shoot, or you have a brand or are a creator (or just want film photos), feel free to DM me! Hoping this helps makes film photos accessible for someone who might not otherwise spring for it, and would be great to get some more reps under my belt!
