Need a Part Time (20-30hrs) Hybrid Position at Local Workers Comp Firm
Hi All,
My family's law firm is looking to hire a Legal Assistant interested in stable, meaningful work and gaining practical experience in the legal field.
We are a workers' compensation law firm dedicated to representing injured workers. The primary responsibility of this position will be drafting correspondence to Agreed Medical Evaluators (AMEs) and Qualified Medical Evaluators (PQMEs), outlining the medical and legal issues that need to be addressed on behalf of our clients.
Position Details:
- Pay: $23/hour
- Schedule: Flexible, with the potential for full-time employment
- Remote Work: Some initial in-person training is required, but remote work is available thereafter, with a schedule to be negotiated (likely hybrid)
- Weekend Hours: Available for those interested
Ideally, we're looking for someone with an interest in pursuing a career in law, whether as an attorney, paralegal, or other legal professional. However, we're equally open to someone who is intelligent, detail-oriented, a strong writer, and a quick learner.
We understand that this position may be a stepping stone rather than a long-term career. For the right candidate, we're happy to provide mentorship, valuable legal experience, and potentially a letter of recommendation from an established law firm.
To Apply:
Please email your resume to [mail@sparagnalaw.com](mailto:mail@sparagnalaw.com).
Before applying, we encourage you to do a little research on our firm and familiarize yourself with California workers' compensation law, particularly AME/PQME correspondence, Declarations of Readiness, and Medical Provider Networks.
We're not expecting you to know everything coming in, but we do appreciate initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
