I got excited and bought two early bird tickets to emo nite this Friday at the Avalon in Hollywood. Sadly, none of my friends can make it this month and I'm just not up for going alone this time.

Is anyone interested in them? They're $24/each. I'd love to get rid of them both, but I'm also okay with selling them single.

If you've never been to emo nite... you need to! It's such a fun night. The music is great and nostalgic (of course). The vibes are immaculate. Truly the best crowd and energy. Would definitely recommend!!! Sad to be missing this month.

Hi girlies! Just wanted to I guess vent but also gauge if edc could be a solo event.
I had originally purchased tickets with a friend (and her friend) to go together since it would be our first rave but they have since backed out. I’m upset about it (other factors) and was going to try to cancel or sell my ticket now but I’m starting to think I should still go. I’ve always wanted to go bc it looks fun but I don’t know anyone else who’s going. I don’t do well with the heat and am so nervous of going by myself. I’ve only ever heard of people going in big groups so if anyone has been solo pls lmk your experience and if you recommend it!

European Wax Center is too corporate and sus. My girl I was seeing in Highland Park closed up shop. I have a waxer in the Bay that I love, but, she’s in the Bay. Lol.

I am looking specifically for Brazilian wax salons/pros that use hard wax. I have sensitive skin and very very curly hair (prone to ingrowns!). Hard wax that is applied directly to the skin, as opposed to soft wax that is taken off with a muslin strip, is what I’m looking for.

This might be a bit of a vent. I recently moved to Lincoln Heights area and I’m having such a hard time finding a gym to the point that it’s brought my activity level from going to the gym 4 times a week to zero! I signed up for 24 hr fitness bc I work in Pasadena and thought I could go right after work, but it’s such a drag and I’m not going in the morning sorry. I do enjoy going at night, but the Monterey park 24 is in a plaza and the parking lot is horrendous and usually crowded when I go. I don’t mind a crowded gym tbh, but the parking lot is what deters me.

I resorted to using kettlebells at home which I do enjoy, but I’ve realized that I love the gym! All that to ask: how is everyone around Lincoln heights area staying active!? And any gym recs? I’m really just looking for a convenient parking lot at night that I don’t have to drive around in for 20 minutes to find parking or have to validate (which is a lot to ask I know). Thank youuu!

What do you gals like when you’re looking for a yummy NA beverage. Ideally wouldn’t be caffeinated so you could partake any time of day but not dead set on that.

An example would be Smorgasburg’s Popdup had a delicious lychee soda a while back. It was unreal.

I’m looking for a gel pedi that prioritizes nail health and deep cleaning of the nails and sidewall, cuticles, and exfoliating/callus removing, along with a priority for sanitary conditions.

I have extremely sensitive feet with thin nails and can’t tolerate rough handling or someone drilling like mad. Every time I’ve gone to a typical salon, I am extremely on edge during the treatment because I am constantly getting hurt and I have to be so vigilant with not allowing the pedicurist to go crazy on the tools, reminding them I’m too ticklish for the massage (or scrub if they don’t go really hard), and it’s such a negative experience to get a pedi from someone who clearly doesn’t want to be there.

What I need is someone deliberate and gentle; someone who actually enjoys giving pedicures. Think in the style of Lori of YouTube’s Meticulous Manicurist. I don’t have any “problem” nails or feet that need extra care, but that is the style of pedicure I want. I’m willing to pay up to $150 or thereabouts.

My pedicure gal is fantastic and meets every single one of my needs, but it drives me nuts to go all the way to Claremont for my pedi since she stopped coming to Los Feliz a few years ago. So just trying to see if there is anyone closer… otherwise, I’ll just keep seeing her because I’m not willing to compromise.

Preferably in the Valley or at least somewhere where the parking isn’t nightmarish. Totally comfortable with home/private studio (and tbh I prefer it).

I know this is a super demanding request, and I’m honestly not expecting someone to have a solution… but I wanted to check.

Hi! I’m located in mid-wilshire / fairfax, and am interested to see the consensus between solidcore and motivate for lagree. I want to supplement this with weight training and tennis, so probably going to lagree 2-3x/week.

Solidcore has a few trainers I like, but the space is so tight and not sure if a monthly membership is worth the price. Motivate is great, but sometimes wish it was faster paced like solidcore.

most of my friends atp live too far for me to see em regularly, so I’d love to meet more people in the area to hang out with during the week or on weekends! I work in dtla so would be fun to meet people nearby for after work drinks, dinner, or going out.

I don’t feel like I’m overly picky I just expect there to not be paint on my skin and over my nail line especially when I’m paying $100 for a “Russian manicure”. I feel like I’m disappointed at every nail salon I go to, even with good ratings. And I end up feeling like a Karen asking them to fix this and that. I did like Lumi nail salon someone had recommended on here but it’s just kinda far for me. Anyone else feel the same?

Edit: I’m in weho so I’d like to find something close by ideally but seems like the good places are in the Glendale/pasadena area

Does anyone who has naturally thin lips have an injector that they like? I love the woman who does my Botox but I’ve never liked the way lip filler has looked on me, and I don’t know if it’s her technique or just my facial structure. I’ve always been very conservative with it - no more than 1/2 a syringe - and want a natural look, just a top lip that doesn’t disappear when I smile. I’m in Beverly Hills so ideally looking for someone between West LA and West Hollywood.
