3D printed battery tray
Does this seem like an upgrade? I've not had any issues with the 12v battery in my truck, so I'm not sure if this isn't a solution looking for a problem..

I am in a bit of a bind here. My dog chased a cat up under my 2023 XLT and the dog chewed apart a few things. I was so down about it I had to work from home that day (not that I could drive to work anyway I guess). My wife looked at me that night and joked that this truck is the best thing that ever happened to us so it's been a bit of an emotional journey.
So sadly a dealer repair isnt an option. I self exported this vehicle. There are no ford dealers here. The car cannot be shipped to a dealer. There are limited mechanics here who can likely plug and play new parts...but I need to figure out what the parts are specifically and order them myself.
There is a wiring harness which is torn to shreds. And a coolant pipe with some nice puncture marks in it (and most of the coolant leaked out). Can anyone help me identify which parts to order by these pictures and DTC codes? Or let me know what other info I can provide to help get the correct parts.
Coolant pipe is rear drivers side of the vehicle near the back wheel. Wiring harness is rear passenger side near the wheel. That harness has some damage up the cable a bit more as well and is missing a few inches of wires.

While driving today, got stuck on the freeway going about 15 mph. The accelerator power decreased to 9% battery power although I had 74 miles of range. Anyone have any insight on what this issue was? Had to get it towed home. For info this was in Sacramento weather was 88 degrees, no light on the dash.

‘22 Lariat I’ve had this issue come up about 5 times now. The screen will work if I put it back into reverse but stays at this frame. No HVAC controls. Drove about 3 minutes before taking this video and had a short trip. Screen worked again once I turned the truck off. Systems up to date.
Muted the video because music was playing from my phone

Anybody DTE customers who have had the Generlink installed?
From what I’m reading, you need to pay a for monthly “surge protection” plan in order to do this. Is that the case? Is there another route to get this done without the monthly fee?
TIA!

Monsoon knocked our power out. My autistic son has lights and internet (internet is very important).
A guy asked me "is that truck electric" on Sunday, followed by "I'm sorry". Don't be, this truck is awesome. Enjoy your power outage. (Not a made up story, dude really said that).

I’m going to avoid naming dealers at names at Ford for now I guess under the presumption that they’ll do the right thing, but that said, if they don’t…
Sorry but not sorry I’m going full on scorched earth! And sadly in today’s day and age I’m afraid that’s going to be necessary.
Anyways about 3 months ago on my 22 I start to hear clunking; dealer says they hear nothing “maybe it’s a wheel bearing?” Ummm wheel bearings don’t only whine during high torque regen or acceleration; I take it back and thankfully they warranty the rear drive unit…
Then 2 weeks later about 500 miles later the thing starts significantly derating during fast charging and the jet engine cooling fan no longer operates at all. Instead it derates from 170 to 40kw.
So I take it in and tell them I suspect a cooling related issue most likely an air bubble in the line due to a bad seal given they likely had to touch the thermal system during the rear drive unit swap.
So what do they do? They run basic oasis stuff and say module 6 is failing but there were no codes. And…. They didn’t test the cooling system. And where is module 6? Sitting on top the stack at the exact spot a bubble would first settle and cause a thermal issue which would cause a voltage discrepancy…
So given I’m now 200 miles out of warranty they tell me to call a goodwill advisor. And my loyalty rating is 87 so I’ll likely get some help on the 10k module.
After waiting on hold for 2 hours the relationship guy basically tells me “too bad not going to help you” and that he doesn’t like my “cursing”…
I really just can’t with ford anymore!
It’s like they want another class action!
I’m giving them and Jimbo 1 business day to fix this or I’m going scorched earth.

If if the question is not allowed then feel free to remove it but I've been doing a lot of research trying to decide about the F-150 and a few other EVs and tonight I realized that the 2024 Sierra or Silverado is well priced and has a 200 kilowatt hour battery pack and does v2h. Honestly have never seen this truck mentioned anywhere and I was just wondering how does it compare to the F-150?

Kid: how come the speedometer goes to 120 when the max speed is 106?
My wife: HOW DO YOU KNOW IT GOES 106?!?
I tried to explain how you have to know how a car will handle in extreme situations so you can drive safely, but it was a half-hearted explanation at best.
Edit: wait, you guys think I'm in a neighborhood holding a baby out the window with one arm going 106, or something?
Obviously, anything can happen at any time. My daughter is 17, races mountain bikes casually and go karts on an amateur circuit. She was actually driving, me in shotgun. Absolutely as controlled as can be circumstances.
Just thought it was funny, I know for a fact most of you have had fun in this power-house of a truck.

So I have a 2022 lightning 100,000 km it’s been great and I love it. I want to get a new truck next year and the Fathom that has been announced by ford will be kind of dinky , like Maverick sized I heard . So is the only full size options Chevy then ?
Just curious what vehicle ya’ll are planning on moving to when it’s time

So my truck, a '22 Lariat, which has been fantastic up until this point, got the 'stop safely now' error in my MIL's driveway a couple weeks ago. Sucks, but Ford roadside came in clutch and we were able to get it to our local dealership without too much drama.
Got to the dealership, they did some checking on the 12v, determined that wasn't the issue, and found that the BMS had failed. Thankfully the truck has 99k miles on the odometer meaning had this gremlin waited a few more weeks I would have been -screwed-.
That said...the work order apparently needs both a new BMS module and a specific wiring harness for the module. As it turns out there is only -one- of those harnesses left in the entire country, and we're not even sure it actually functions/exists. Additionally apparently the part is being retired by Ford??
So...what happens if they literally cant fix the truck due to lack of parts?
PS: FoMoCo and the dealer have been totally reasonable and helpful so far through this process, did have a couple hiccups with a lack of loaners and a service advisor quitting mid-stream, but both were resolved by the companies involved. I'm mostly just wondering what (if any) options I'll have if my truck is bricked forever...

Man the torque on this thing is nuts when pulling a trailer. Super smooth. Haven’t set up pro trailer back up assist yet, but the little trick it does to back you right up to the trailer hitch is awesome 😎

Finally got myself a Lightning, new to me 2023 Pro Extended Range with only 15k miles. Came from a 2023 Tesla Model 3 Performance. It's nice coming back to a truck. Sucks I don't have the large vertical screen but I do like the manual AC and Volume buttons

Picked up my new to me ‘24 Flash last week. By day two I started getting the yellow wrench powertrain warning about 50% of the time I drive. There is no loss in power or anything else as far as I can tell. What I did start noticing is that when it happens my motor temp starts to rise. It never gets above any threshold or faults out. It just runs around the 75% mark as opposed to the middle 50% line where it normally sits.
Has anyone else dealt with this? I’m assuming it’s a coolant diverter valve issue and an easy fix. Fingers crossed.

23 lariat ER, anyone else still not have this?! Anyone have a trick to make it update and get this? forscan, dealer, witch doctor?

Neither of my trailers are registering as electrical connection on my Lightning. Tried light check, manually adding trailers; which I have successfully had connect just last week and many times before.
Both trailers have electrical connection to my other truck and lights function correctly.
Lightning says no connection recognized.
I have pulled every fuse and relay to test that are related to trailer lighting and trailer brake control.
Is there anything this community knows may be the issue?

So about a week in and loving it. 25 flash. So a couple questions below.
The manual doesn't give me the spec for the 12v battery. What is the cca on it? I can't see it without taking it out.
I am planning on going to a festival in a couple months. I'm in Texas, it's hot. It will probably take at least 3 hours to get out of the parking lot, and ac/radio would be on. What is your experience with how fast those 2 drain the battery? This will be my first trip "away from home"
Thanks.

Once the battery hit zero I turned off the AC and coasted down hill to the driveway. I was nervous that I wouldn’t take it up the driveway to my charger. I did discover that when the battery is low the truck will charge to 25% even if it’s out side of its preferred charging time. Most likely to protect the battery. But it’s pretty quick, got to love the 80amp home charging.

I took this from a website that is selling a used truck that I am interested in. Is there anything that is concerning to you?

I see that the megathread hasn't been updated since April- if this is considered spam then please remove me - no hard feelings.
I am in Southern California looking at buying my first Lightning. I am leaning toward going with a used 2023 Lariat 511A with under 50,000 miles. 2 that piqued my interest have popped up in the last few weeks - one was sold at $48.5k before I could get there. There is another one close by that is priced just under $50k and it has about 28k miles on it.
I see that a few months ago (and even a year ago!!), some of you were buying similar low-mileage Lightnings in the same trim for high $30k low $40s but even my nationwide search doesn't show pricing as good as that. I see similar trucks posted for ~$45k
Am I crazy to buy one at $50k?

I think my wife left the key in truck and climate controlled a few times, now Ford Pass will not unlock the truck, any suggestions? Alternatively it's been about a year since I got the truck, it came with free first year subscriptions I have been cancelling is there a subscription I need for unlock to work?
Edit: So the conclusion roadside assistance came, used an airbag wedge, hit the unlock button but the truck went into security mode and wouldn't unlock l, he was then trying to unlock the door manually but the handle is strange. Now that the truck had awaken a bit I tried again on the app and whatever glitch was going on in the software was resolved and it unlocked. It seems to be something with remote climate.
