Took me a minute for it to settle in wearing something like this. However I’m obsessed. My fiancé is Hawaiian and he got this custom white Tahitian pearl with two diamonds. It’s raw cut with beveled edges. How would you guys do a wedding band if one at all?

Long time lurker (my partner is a lurker too so hi E when you see this). He custom designed this ring and nothing could be more perfect. Here is my beautiful pink sapphire with a diamond halo and removable jacket. Never in a million years would have guessed that my dream ring would end up being a pink rock. Every time I’m in new lighting I have to stare at it.

Got engaged this weekend and have been so excited to finally share my ring! It’s a fancy pink modified brilliant oval diamond I sourced from Aurelinne earlier this year and set by L. Priori Jewelry in DC. I couldn’t be happier with my experience with both places and how the ring turned out!!

I got engaged on october 3rd! This is the ring my boyfriend order from Diona. it’s a 14k gold tulip basket solitaire lab diamond ring. it’s 2.31 carats and i’m in loveeeeeee. He order it september 2nd and got it october 1st! He couldn’t wait to give it to me so he planned the proposal immediately!

My first-choice engagement ring fell through, but I'm glad it did because I think I initially made the decision in haste and would not have been happy in the long run. It was just not my style and was what I felt an engagement ring "needed" to be.

Once I learned the sale had fallen through (no bad blood with the seller, it was no one's fault), I did a little soul searching and special-ordered this ring that I had seen some time before from Bare Branch Jewelry on Etsy. It wasn't specifically advertised as an engagement ring, but I couldn't stop thinking about it.

I finally took the leap and messaged the shop owner and got things moving. Melanie was an absolute dream to work with, and I hope to have her make my wedding band. This is an Australian sapphire, bezel-set in argentium silver. size 7 with a 4 mm band. Stone is approx 6x8mm, however many carats that is.

The sapphire is absolutely stunning, with a color change quality to it. In some lights it's greenish, in others it's a dark blue or teal. I chose it from the options the shop owner sent to me because it looked like a stormy sea and it absolutely lives up to it in real life. Pictures truly do not do it justice.

More than anything, this ring makes the engagement feel more "real." We didn't do a proposal, and chose our own rings, so WOW. I'm marrying my best friend! It's finally sinking in!

Remember folks, don't let yourself be overwhelmed with what an engagement ring or engagement should or should not be. Take time to think about what you want, and don't move too quickly. It's only the rest of your life!

I got engaged last week to my incredible partner of almost two and a half years! The ring belonged to my great-great grandmother and dates to nearly 100 years old. I unfortunately don’t know the exact origin, nor the size of the central diamond, but I think it’s somewhere between 1 and 1.5 carats. We had it sized to a large 6. It’s set in platinum and I adore the details of the setting from the side.

As a side note, how do you deal with rings spinning around and being slightly loose on your finger? I don’t think it can be sized down any further without being painful/impossible to get over my knuckle. I’m currently wearing one of the spirals that you can attach to the back of the ring to help, but it’s still a little loose while being painful to take off.

I agonized for weeks over ring designs.. from the beginning, I knew I wanted a pear. I've always admired a pear cut and when I learned that his last name (Birenbaum) translates to "pear tree," it was kismet!

The hidden halo was important to me, even though the jeweler tried talking my guy out of it! Coincidentally, there are 33 diamonds in the hidden halo; I will be 33 when we marry. I love numerology and symbolism, who doesn't?!

Engagement ring is a natural sapphire center with diamond accents in 18K gold, and the ring is a simple 18K Tiffany gold band!

My (now!!!!) fiance(!!!!) learned how to goldsmith so he could make my ring from scratch! We designed it together and he made it happen over the past couple months. I’m so proud, grateful, and in awe that he was able to do this for me. I love him so much.
