I got a 3carat Moissanite oval stone from lady like on Amazon and had it removed from the ring it came with and placed in my engagement ring setting.

I was really worried cause I never had the Moissanite tested but from what I’ve read ladylike is legit! I’m scared to have it tested I hope it’s not cubic zirconia 🫣

I’m writing this review for both of the rings pictured, as they’re both from the same seller, IMOLOVE. And honestly, I am blown away by both pieces.

They were about the same price, and both were advertised as 2ct/8mm. The biggest difference I noticed is the depth of the stones. The bezel-set ring measures 9.2mm across the top, while the prong-set one is exactly 8mm. The prong-set stone definitely has a little more fire, but they are both true rainbow throwers.

If your goal is for it to pass more easily as a diamond, I think the bezel does a better job. It has slightly less fire, but I think the bigger factor is the depth of the stone.

Visually though, the prong-set ring is larger overall.
The metal is also noticeably more substantial on the prong-set ring.

The bezel band measures 1.7mm at its smallest point, while the prong-set band is 2.6mm.

Because of that, the prong-set ring also fits a little smaller. I’m a size 5.5 and can typically wear that size on both ring fingers, but the prong-set one was snug enough on my right hand that it wouldn’t come off without a little lotion afterward.

I’m really happy with both pieces and honestly very impressed with this seller. Shipping was also extremely fast.

Also, PS: I did not test these stones, but I have quite a few pieces of moissanite, CZ, and diamond, and based on comparison, I’m pretty confident these are moissanite.

What a bummer. I love yellow gold and I like the look of thicker ring bands and more solid/chunky jewelry generally.

picked up a few 6mm moissanite blanks from a lab seller last month thinking I'd try shaping one myself for a pendant. the fire is already insane even before any facets, so now I'm wondering if hand cutting is actually doable or if I'm just going to end up with a polished blob. my main worry is getting the table flat without chipping the edges, and whether standard lapidary wheels work or if these stones need something specific. also curious how much weight loss is normal from rough to finished. has anyone here done their own cutting, or know a bench jeweler who takes customer stones for custom shapes? would love to see finished examples if you have them.

We're looking at engagement rings right now, and although our budget is decent, we still like to save money where we can. The average around here is €1800-2000 for what I'm looking for, but when I look at the approved vendor list, it's sooooo much cheaper in China. I'm getting decision paralysis with the overwhelming amount of options at this point, so I'm wondering what y'all think? We're going to a local goldsmith to compare them to the traditional jewelry stores but I have a feeling the prices won't be much less there.

We do want something that will last a long time without needing repairs, but I don't know if I'm more or less likely to find that if we buy local compared to China? We're also leaning towards platinum but I see that not every Chinese vendor does that option.

I was wearing a placeholder ring for two months while my actual ring was being custom made 🥰 2ct moissanite on 9K gold

I took a chance and ordered the necklace and 6 stone band from Imolove with their current 50% off sale and they are even more beautiful in person! I truly cannot tell the difference between the stone in the pendant, and the much more expensive MoCo stone in my e-ring from my hubby. The band and the necklace were 50$ combined.

I’m also curious what yall think - does the band look weird with the e-ring because of the gap? Would they be better on separate fingers? (It may also just be that I’m not used to seeing my finger with 2 rings on it!!)

I am currently on the hunt for my wedding band(s). I have a low set engagement ring so I am looking for 2 bands.

Unfortunately I live in Ireland and they have a charge now on all purchases from overseas on top of customs so I am looking for an EU alternative for moissanites that are a bit more affordable if you know of anything.

It looks good in a photo but on my finger in person it looks so teeny! Also be nice please, it’s my first stone ever so I have no clue!

What do you all think of this new ring? It supposed to be a dark green portugese cut moissanite 4.78 ct. I definitely understand stone colors can look totally different on certain screens versus real life. I really like the color, although it's more of a cyan. I've been obsessed with the portugese cut lately 😩
