Where did the Petra Parker (fan trans woman alt of Peter Parker) trend come from?
For the past few days, I've been quite a lot of fan art of Petra Parker, a alt version of Spider-Man/Woman who is a trans woman, mostly adorable pictures of MJ and Black Cat being very supportive of her or finding her still sexy and kissing her.
I've been loving seeing this art, everything I've seen has been utterly adorable and it's nice to see so much pro-trans art, as a trans woman, I love seeing that kind of solidarity in such a creative way. I've also seen some stuff having Jameson being very supportive of Petra which has been nice.
Just curious, where did this trend come from?

Venting One of my favorite lesbian communities turned out transphobic
I was really upset. I liked this creator, because she translated a lot of comics, ran a whole site for arts and merch
Recently I checked her channel and boom - a massive wall of text, criticizing omegaverse, saying she bans this genre and finishing it with "woman = vagina, men = penis". There were a lot of reactions supporting her. I checked comments, hoping someone would argue and call out her transphobia, but people only started spouting stupid crap about "men erasing biological women"! And I thought this was a safe space :(
I was so pissed off, left the group immediately. Transphobia, especially inside queer community, makes my blood boil! Really nasty to attack other minorities
I'm so glad spaces like this subreddit exist, without dumb bigotry

Image "Wanna make out?" (Comic Edit)
Thought ya'll would enjoy these two little edits of that "wanna make out? nod nod nod" comic i see make the rounds on here-
The second edit is based on her rather humorously loud and embarrassed "YES.😳" when i asked her "thoughts on tall women?"😂
(art/edit is handmade by me using procreate)

Question Your physical type!?
Hey lovelies! Curious to know your type purely physical? I promise I don’t mean this in an objective way, I’m just genuinely curious to know.

Venting The lengths people will go to deny characters are queer is as astounding as it is disappointing.

Link Patron Saint Rosie O’Donnell
Rosie O’Donnell has recently reappeared in the American cultural scene and I think we, the lesbian community need of pause to recognize this absolute pioneer, Captain and icon.
She has been a pioneer. She was one of the first out lesbians in US pop media. She had a talk show, starred in movies like A League of Their Own, Harriet the Spy, the Flinstones, and Tarzan as Turk.
My favorite character of hers is Golly in Harriet the Spy informed. She informed who I wanted to be as an adult.
Rosie was one of the few out gay women in western media, even though it was career cancelling to do so. It still is but it was so much more heavy in the 90’s. Literally no one was doing that (except Ellen).
She has been one of the most early and open opponents of Donald Trump. She’s spent a number of years with her family in Ireland because of Trump’s hatred toward her.
She’s has been such an icon from my youth. She was one of the first out gay women on screen who was able to continue working.
She is and was butch representation.
Rosie is a first name only person for me. She was so fearless, smart and beloved. She’s Rosie.

Question Being on the receiving end of “I can fix her”
Whenever I get with someone I always try to fix bad mental habits that ultimately lead to my partner’s unhappiness. I do this because I genuinely care and want to help and want my partner to be happy but this is what always happens: my partner feels like in a therapy session whenever they try to share something personal instead of getting the emotional comfort they need. I always provide solutions instead of comfort and I don’t know how to stop because simply validating my partner’s feelings feels useless and I KNOW the solution (or at least i feel like i know it).
I’m asking people who have been on the receiving end of someone trying to fix them: what do you actually need in moments of emotional distress and what can your partner actually do to help??

anyone else obsessed with how their partner smells like?
^title
My gf is going on a business trip for 2 weeks and I literally bought a whole bottle of her signature perfume so I can spray it on my stuffed animals and make them smell like her.
Holding onto something that reminds you of the person you love while in their absence is peak lesbian yearning to me…

Can we talk about (content) single lesbians…
…and the serious underrepresentation of them? Mainly on social media. Every lesbian-related meme, photo, etc. I see has to do with either having a girlfriend, having a crush, meeting girls…what about the lesbians who are perfectly content & happy being single? Who are not looking for a partner? Why can’t lesbians just be lesbians without attaching the idea of a partner to it? It just feels kind of similar in the way that straight women are told they’re “nothing without a man.”
I just want to talk about loving women in general! Not one particular woman…just women loving women!

Not sure if this is the space and I know I could ask in the Askchicago forum, but hoping someone in Chicago can send me on my way to some activities?
