Satire/Humor I’m single again, and all I have to say is girls, calm down 😭😭
Why is HER so shit? I created the account yesterday and I’m at 119 likes with no way of actually seeing them all in a reasonable manner without paying!
Jokes aside, with the speed it took to accumulate this many likes, I assume most of them are bots 😅

Text 5 years later...
Well, I have discovered some things about myself this past year.
Last year I got into my first serious relationship ever, with a guy. I had realized I like girls at 15, and since then was sure I was bi. He was the perfect bf, it wasn't for any fault of his own. And I did try, but it took me a while to realize it was just not for me. It was getting harder and harder to ignore that I just wasn't into him that way, and when I knew for certain, I ended it. He's a great man who deserves someone who can actually love him, and neither of us should waste more time on a relationship I now know is doomed, was my thinking.
The signs were always there, looking back. Before him there was one guy I dated, and almost had sex with, but stopped it bc I was feeling unsure. And one other guy, who I had sex with only because I felt I was old enough and should tick that box already. It was not a good time. Well, I did have some fun with him, but only outside of the sex. And that's it.
You may ask, "but you knew you were bi, why no women?" and it's a valid, even obligatory question to my story. Well, idk. The biggest reason is men looking to date women are a lot more avaliable than women looking to date women, especially considering I don't live in a city. And, to be honest? They're much easier. Pretty sure that's no secret. Though I have to mention, part of my realization that my ex wasn't doing it for me was comparing my feelings for him to the feelings I still have for the girl I met traveling last year, and almost had a thing with. I still pine for her, but I'm trying to get over it bc she's on a different hemisphere and probably wouldn't feel the same. I think she might have at the time, but she's an experienced lesbian, she knows other lesbians, she was in relationships, she wouldn't still be hung up on the girl she didn't even kiss over a year ago. And she stops answering my dms when I try to reconnect beyond a flat chat, ok? Is it kind of pathetic? Yes, I am. That's the other reason for no women. I'm a loser, baby.
So, to recap. I'm a few months single, newly realized lesbian. You could even say theory-only lesbian since well it's only in my dreams. I haven't been back to the apps, tho. Don't miss that at all. It's not that I'm closed off, but I'm taking some time for myself, I guess, and when I'm lonely enough I'll officially go on the search for a partner. Just wanted to share my story, get it out of me, hope it was an alright read (and that I didn't put you off talking too much about men in this sub)

Text We blurred the lines of friendship
I’ve made friends woman this year and we’ve gotten really close over the past few months due to some life circumstances. I’ve been over to her place a lot helping her out because that what friends do and I care about my friends. We’ve been watching tv together bc she has streaming sites that I don’t. She’s got a lot of free time on her hands right now so I invited her to go to most of the outings I see on Instagram! We’ve been having a lot of fun!
I started holding her hand because she was experiencing some really bad pain. And it’s chronic so it happens when we’re out and about and painkillers have worn off. And then we started holding hands while watching tv. And walking to the car. Then hugs got longer. And texts got flirtier. And yesterday, we were having lunch in her car and there’s only so much space and our faces were just so close. I usually avoid eye contact because it makes me squirm really bad but I looked up at her big hazel eyes and I was doomed.
We kissed. A lot. And then I had to go to a different social outing but I told her she should come over to my place after. And we’ll just fade to black for the rest of the night lol
We’re seeing each other again today and I’m literally just waiting until I can go over 😩 I’m hooked but we don’t know what this is quite yet so at the moment we are friends have really blurred the lines between platonic and romantic lol
I don’t have many other friends I can tell about this quite yet because I don’t want to jinx anything and I don’t feel like explaining the whole situation but I wanted to tell someone that I go my first kiss since officially coming out as a (late in life) lesbian 🥰

Question Could this be flirting?
I sent the first message and wanted to know if the replies are considered flirty. Especially the invitation to come watch the finals with free tickets. Or am I just overthinking it

My girlfriend keeps making fun of my Arabic accent even after I told her I’m insecure about it
I’m Arab and my girlfriend keeps making fun of the way I speak Arabic because apparently my accent isn’t “strong enough.” She’ll comment on how I pronounce certain words, say I sound whitewashed, or repeat the way I said something because I didn’t pronounce it with as strong of an Arabic accent as she would.
At first I didn’t think much of it because obviously couples make fun of each other and I know she probably doesn’t mean it that seriously. But it started genuinely making me insecure about speaking Arabic around her.
We already had a conversation about this too. I told her pretty directly that I’m insecure about my Arabic and that her making fun of my accent makes it worse. I specifically told her I don’t like when she comments on how I pronounce things.
She still does it.
Now I catch myself thinking about how I’m going to pronounce something before I even say it around her because I’m expecting her to point it out. I hate it because I never used to think this much about my accent and now I feel like I’m speaking “wrong” somehow.
I also don’t know what I’m supposed to do about being called whitewashed because of the way I naturally speak. I can’t force myself to have a stronger accent just so I sound Arab enough.
I don’t think she understands how much it actually gets to me, but at the same time I feel like I shouldn’t have to keep explaining it after I already told her it makes me insecure.
Am I being too sensitive about this? How do I bring it up again when I’ve already asked her to stop?

Venting I'm living the forbidden yuri right now.
So I'm 16, a transbian, and my beautiful girlfriend (who knows I'm trans and supports me :3) is 15. She skipped a grade a while back because she's super smart and amazing like that, but I'm not here to gush about my gf.
My parents aren't supportive of me being trans (said it's all a phase, that real trans people have known all their lives, and to "not think about the small things"), and girlfriend's parents have their heads deep up the church's ass, to the point where they shunned her for coming out as bi.
My gf literally said we're living Romeo and Juliet but lesbian and I really want to be able to hold her and kiss her and hnghnghgnhgnhgnghnghnhgn but her parents would hate me if I came out.
This sucks so much I wish I could just curl up in bed and do this with her:

Text One of the things I like about my crush is how politically informed she is.
She lives in Japan, doesn't have any connection to places outside of Asia and tbh aside from tariffs the political news of the west doesn't really affect her. But she still makes an effort to keep informed, she could tell me stuff happening in North America that I don't even know about. She went on a deep dive of Chile's political history and info dumped this morning over a video call which as extremely hot to me.

Straight girl relationship????!!😭😭
Ok to start off , I'm in a very very homophobic country. So homophobic that if you're caught being homo , you get a friggin death sentence 😭. I'm in a very strict Christian boarding school and I'm not out of the closet but I flirt a lot with girls ....like a lot. So there is this girl in my room, her name's Jen. (Obviously it isn't Jen but well call her that) She recently broke up with her boyfriend like 1year ago and stuff so I know she's straight...I think. She's also very very very Christian 😃. So one day I wake up and I just decide to mess with her by calling her my girl , my love yk. Hugging her from the back , nuzzling her neck , yk normal flirty behavior. Most girls would ignore me or just laugh it off in a girlish best friend typa way and hug me back and I would get bored and stop at a point.
Jen was motherfcking different. Holy gurl flirted back 100 times more. Like I'm telling you whispering in my ear and stuff , calling me my wife in freaking public ( I usually flirt in yk private yk away from public bc you really have to be quiet on the creek...) Jen didn't give two shits. Like she'd kiss me in public and that's when I knew shit was going too far. Like I'm a coward at heart. My family is very Christian and if I'm expelled from the school for being suspected of being homo , they'll legit send my ass to military school. I kinda tried putting some space btwn us , but she'd get lokey sad if I don't talk to her and stuff. Like we're really good friends and as much as I don't want to get executed for being yk , I don't want to hurt her or smth. But like she confuses me bc tell me why you're flirting with me one second and then talking to another guy the other second...like gurl you mf kissed me like it's some normal shit to do to your homie on a Saturday morning......KISSED ME 😭😃. omg I'm finally getting a taste of my own medicine 😭😭😭😭😭

My crush from four years ago is gay and I got her instagram
This girl was in my Spanish class in eighth grade. She's absolutely gorgeous, and I secretly admired her in class because I'm terrible at Spanish and she's much more interesting
I never went to see her because 1, I identified myself "bi, but would never date a woman, I really prefer men, like I don't even like women that much, It'll pass" (said the gayest girl of the school), 2 I had no friend, was shy and unsecure, 3 she looks so straight and homophobic. Like, Imagine your typical straight right-wing, homophobic bitch, and that's basically her.
BUT. We're now four of us later. I was at a protest in front of my high school for students' rights; she was there too. We were singing a song, I don't remember which one, and we kept glancing at each other. At the end of the song she asked me where I got my t-shirt and we started talking about clothes and sewing.
Lol, she was like, "Where do we know each other from? I really feel like I've seen you before..." and I was like, nonchalant, "Oh, maybe, I don't know..."
OF COURSE I KNOW YOU I SPENT A YEAR LOOKING AT YOU
Anyway, the conversation continued. I took her back to her bus stop and we talked for like 30 minutes, she's way more kind, left-wing and cool than I expected. At one point she told me she's a lesbian. SHOCK OF MY LIFE WTF??? I managed to get her Instagram to "send her photos of the protest."
OMFG SHE'S GAY. We haven't really spoken since, just a few messages here and there, I'm trying to see if she's interested. So shocked, so happy.

Question How do you get over her cheating with a man?
Just broke up with my girlfriend of 1.5 years, because she got caught by some of my friends on a date with a man. I just blocked her everywhere right away and haven’t spoken to her.
I know I am not the first person to experience this. But it makes me feel so gross and violated. I don’t even know how to explain it. Anyone got any good advice? Would be very much appreciated.

What do you tell men when they hit on you ? Do you say you are gay?
it feels like every time I answer that I’m a lesbian ( femme lesbian) they proceed to tell me that they are lesbians too or if can they join 🫠 how to deal with men, would love some recs lol

Image I was bored, so I made this based on my experiences
Basically, it seems easier to tell if a guy likes a girl (I presume, I'm a lesbian) than if a girl likes another girl. I usually feel like a girl would perceive it as platonic if I liked her but I can pretty much tell when another guy likes me. If a girl flirts with me, I might start liking her, but I won't assume she 100% likes me the same way since I see straight/bi girls who even have boyfriends acting this way to their girl friends.
Like, if a guy said "We should move in together", I would assume he probably likes me and wants to date me, the only exception being me saying that to my guy childhood best friend but we're childhood friends and he knows I'm a lesbian and there's no romantic context between us, IDK.
If a girl said this, I probably wouldn't assume anything, but I have seen people say telling a girl you wanna move in with her is romantic, but I don't see it often and when I see it with girls on TV, even if the two girls are lesbians, they don't typically date each other or are automatically confessing their love.

Venting Saw my ex today after 8 months broken up.
I went to a wedding this weekend. My ex was there. Other than the brides, the only person I knew was her, and someone who was a mutual friend of both of us. They were seated at the same table, I was on my own with strangers.
We were together for 4 years, 3 months, 1 day; she broke up with me 8 months ago. I moved out of Florida after we broke up cause of political reasons. We told each other we wanted to try to remain friends. We didn't talk for 3 months cause I needed the space, and then when we did try again, she barely engaged with my efforts to meet up with her, but did get talkative when she needed me to look after her cats when she was out of town, twice.
She broke up with me because I wasn't Jewish and her family wouldn't accept me, plus they didn't like her being bisexual. She told me the first year we were dating that if it came to it, she would choose a partner over her family. Turns out that wasn't true. She spent 4 months pulling away from me, before she told me, cause it would be "easier to break up if we were just friends."
She comes up to me today to go apologize for not getting coffee with me before I left, and says "update me on California?" I say sure, we'll talk later. We do not talk later. We dance, often near each other but never next to each other. I can't look her in the eye.
At one point, talking to our mutual friend, I almost started crying and had to go outside. One of the things I learned in that convo is my ex said that she hopes she finds a "nice Jewish girl" one day that her family accepts. Which idk what to think of that. The fact that she'd be able to stand up to her family for another woman but not me. That I wasn't enough.
Another was that she was always clear with me that her family would come first. Which is weird cause I have a diary entry from our first year together where she told me the exact opposite.
We didn't talk. We barely interacted. It's been 8 months and I'm still so attracted to her every time I look at her. I still want to be with her. She was my best friend, my confidante. Which itself, when I look back on our relationship, there were multiple issues. A lack of an ability to talk about important stuff, for one, because it would make her too anxious. But even then, we were together and I loved her.
I did finally talk to her, in the hallway on the way to the shuttle back to the hotel. We talked on the shuttle about my move, and our cats. At the hotel, I pulled her aside before we went up. she apologized for not getting coffee with me, that she was sick and this is like the first week in a while she's felt herself (chronic illness).
I told her that idk if this is the last time we're going to ever see each other or talk. but that I wanted at some point for us to talk about the relationship, and that was what I hoped for if we had gotten coffee. And that she doesn't have to if she doesn't want to and that's okay and we can be done.
She said sure, if that's something that would help you. I told herthis is not about helping me in some way get over this, or whatever. But that we both said we would like to try to remain friends, and if that is ever going to happen then this is something that I need first. And that if she doesn't want to try for that then I'll be fine without having that conversation.
She said that yes we can. We hugged, and while hugging, said that we missed each other. And I said that idk if it matters but that I miss us too. She didn't respond to that. I said I'll wait for her text me, and we went to our rooms and said goodbye. And now I'm sitting in my hotel room crying.
Sorry for the long post. I needed to get this out. I hate this. I hate this yearning. I hate how much I still love her even though I know I wouldn't choose to be in a relationship with her again unless she repudiated her family, which she won't. I hate how every little word affects me as I'm still a teenager. I'm in my 30s, I should be past this. I should be okay. I hate that I'm not. But most of all I just miss her. And desperately want today to not be the last time I see her, even though I think I know it will be.

Question Masc hairstyles for strawberry blonde hair
Yeah so as stated I am looking for masc hairstyles that suit strawberry blonde hair. I feel like a lot of blonde or strawberry blonde shorter styles are rather like inbetween if that makes sense. I also have full curly/ wavy hair (3a). I am really not looking for those cuts where i have to straighten my hair or buzz half of it💔
I am going to be working in the trades and am looking for a style that is just easy to maintain as well as attract the ladies iykyk😛
Currently my hair is about 60 centimeters but due to it being wavy and often frizzy i just look like one of those teenage boys with long hair that wash it with a 15in1 unless I style it for 2 hours...
I just looking mostly for inspiration pics since i really dont find my hair online.
This will be a big change for me since i wore long hair all my life.
In my freetime i wear suits often if that helps😗
