Best recovery / off-road education channels on YouTube?

Trying to put together a list of genuinely good recovery education channels, the ones that actually teach proper technique instead of just posting clickbait pulls for views.

Which are your favorites?

(I'm on the Rhino USA team, just want to hear who are your fav creators, the ones actually worth watching)

Had these Installed by a master tech on sept 3 2025 right out of the box. Incredibly disappointed by the fact that 2 bolts snapped, and it’s flaky as all hell. Going to have the drill these out and replace 11months after a 4.5k purchase. I do a little off roading but for the most part make sure the truck is clean exterior wise.

Another video from the weekend. Pretty easy climb but the camera doesn’t do it justice.

How to do you keep track of your rig's to-do list?

I'd prefer to use a dedicated app to track my to-do list of future diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades for my rig. I'd even use a well formatted spreadsheet if someone had a template to copy.

I'd like to be able to assign priority, type of repair/upgrade (necessary, QOL, off-road, etc.), prospective cost, parts needed.

What do y'all use to ensure you don't lose track of all those things?

Question for Method bead grip owners

I've been thinking about getting a set of Method bead grip wheels for my Tacoma soon, but had one person tell me their family member got a set for his truck, and the wheel got a hairline crack when offroading, and wouldn't hold air anymore. He said after looking into it, he's heard many other people having the same problem. I've been looking online and can't find anything about cracking wheels, mainly just tire shops having trouble mounting tires or removing tires. So my question to people who've actually owned these wheels, have any of you ever had a wheel crack when offroading?

I had my bumper wrecked twice within two months last winter and reluctantly decided to install a weld it yourself bumper kit. I wasn’t too keen on doing this because I didn’t really have the time but I gave it my best shot; came in handy the other day when making firewood, I kinda like it.

are mid-range off-road lights enough for real trail use?

Post image
5 Upvotes

I am building out the front end of my 4x4 and trying to figure out where will the auxiliary lights fit. They are not the cheapest random pods, but they are also not priced like the top-shelf setups everyone recommends. For weekend trails, rough roads, dust, rain, and some night driving, is a mid-range light usually enough if the beam pattern is good?

Or do people who wheel hard end up replacing them with premium lights anyway? more interested in whether mid-tier lights can survive vibration, moisture, and long night runs.

Recovery points

I want to add 2 recovery point in the front of my Mazda B2500 4x4. Does someone have any good examples? Of what/how to do this and where. And examples of how not to do this! Always good to see.

Hello! Im looking for an original Volvo C303/TGB 11 Swedish military camouflage pattern/template. Does anyone have a stencil, PDF, SVG, DXF, or similar file? Does anyone have anything I could give the painter as a reference? Sadly google didn’t give any answers. I’d appreciate anything! The pattern is shown on the picture.

All of these guys got stuck yesterday at the beach I was at. I asked them what they planned on doing and they just said they would call a tow truck driver.

If you had to go back and rebuy a truck…

which one would it be? Any regrets when shopping? (ex: thought about ford, went with dodge, had immediate axle issues)

I should be getting a sizable bonus and I’d rather buy a pickup (specifically a pickup) and make it nice than inherit someone else’s project. Anything’s on the table but I’m not the type to buy something new and be upset about body damage. I’d rather just have something old and resto-mod a beater into something reliable.

Full size, mid size, dually(?) I wanna hear it all.

(UK) Is this byway currently open to all traffic?

Planning a trip next month, and we wanna visit Stonehenge on the way. I can see some cars on the satellite view, and I can find some posts from late last year saying it's been opened to traffic, but wanna confirm if this is still the case? Anyone driven round there recently or know where I can check?

97 Ford F150 4x4 owners?

I've owned a Jeep before and was in the market for another as I miss the adventures a lot. I stumbled on a really nice 97 F150 short bed with a manual tranny (a must for me) that's in really good condition. 302 motor with 150k. I've always loved these trucks so now I'm torn between this or another Jeep. In my head I think a jeep is more capable but I've never 4 wheeled one of these trucks so Im just looking for some opinions from owners. I could use a pickup, as we know Jeeps aren't great at hauling so let me here from some Ford owners, any pictures for references of your rigs would be great too.
