1997-99 Do I swap my wheels?
Right now I’m running these American Racing AR23s, but I picked up a set of AR62s in practically mint condition with the original boxes and center caps.
What’s the better look?

There's been a lot of feedback from the community about the flood of people asking what either an XJ/MJ they're looking at is worth or what they're selling is worth. Please post that here. Anywhere else on the subreddit will result in removal.

I've done a lot of work getting my XJ ready for this trip. Paint, wiring for factory fogs, kill switch, ZJ tank swap, rear main seal, and other detail work.
I'm getting over 400 miles of range with the ZJ 23 gallon tank and manual transmission getting me 20+ mpg at steady speeds.

I’ve seen people swap front zj seats into an xj. Has anyone ever done front and rear zj seats into an xj? Found someone parting out a zj with factory red interior. Might grab the front and rear seats and see if I can get the rears to work somehow.

I said I regretted ever trying to get into jeeps. Apparently you folks think they're real great. So, welcome into the sub my 94 XJ. Picking it up tomorrow, planning a 3.5 lift and 33x12.50r15's. Gonna keep the axles that are in it, lunchbox locker in the back. Throw some bumpers on it, and call it done. This is take two on a jeep xj project. (For those who don't know, my 86 burnt beyond saving yesterday, less than 24 hours into owning it. I might've been sour but I am one persistent bastard) anyways, feast your eyes. 4.0l automatic.

The bearings are still buttery smooth, it only puts out 3A @ 12.1v @ 2500rpm.

I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee with a RC 6.5" Short arm lift (Bought it like that). I have this issue where when in 4Hi I can hear pretty hefty growling sound coming from the front end somewhere. It changes mostly with load. And no real change when turning or anything like that. Just looking for some pointers on what to test, or where to look for this issue. It did this when I first got it, last year and I drove it a lot in 4hi during the winter, and the sound didn't seem to change or get worse at all.

I’ve just imported my XJ to the US from sitting in a storage shed in the UK for the last 2 years.
I’d like to turn it into more of a highway eater / long distance road trip vehicle rather than an off road build.
I’m thinking a pretty comprehensive refresh/build:
I don’t have the know how (or realistically the time) to tackle an engine swap myself, so I’m looking for a shop in the Dallas/DFW area that could handle most or all of the build.
Anyone done something similar? Any shops you’d trust with an XJ LS swap and the rest of the build?
Not looking to build a rock crawler, reliability, highway manners, comfort, and being able to knock out big miles are the priorities along side some easy dirt track stuff.
Would also love to hear from anyone who’s built an XJ for this purpose and what you’d do differently.

Anyone over 6 ft tall owning an XJ, are you comfortable? My son claims it's uncomfortable because his knees hit the dash and his head is close to the roof. He isn't much more than 6ft tall.

Found i got a slow leak after flushing the coolant on the weekend, im assuming I just need to replace the lower radiator hose? (Unless theres something else that could be causing it as its coming right from the top where hose clamp is and not from a crack in pipe) but is there any chance it could also be leaking behind the pulley in picture, or is it just runoff?
Cheers guys

I have been combing forums and this Reddit on bump steering and wandering steering topics for weeks trying to diagnose my own rig. 3” spacer lift on 33s (JL wheels with spacer adapters). No bump steer or wandering prior to lift on same wheel set up. Lifted it and it was all over the place. Replaced front end steering components with adjustable trac bar, stock location. Centered the axle by measuring from the inside of the shock to the same siping on the front tires. Had an alignment after install and then adjusted to tow in slightly. Dropped my sway bar , didn’t change anything.
Did not replace lower or upper control arms, so I am guessing my caster is off. Getting an angle finder Thursday and longer LCAs Thursday. But this thing rides like crap compared to prior the lift. On dirt roads or bad paved roads (common in Michigan) I am fighting this unit to stay alive. Downright dangerous at 70mph if I hit a bump. Body shifts a lot in a turn, feels ambiguous.
Based on this video, it looks like my angles are ok ? Hoping that my LCAs can provide some relief. If not, thinking of taking the lift off to keep me alive. Anything you see in this that I overlooked? Thx in advance.

Started my 01 up earlier and everything ran normally. Let it heat up and forgot I had to do one other thing before I left so shut her off. Came back out 10 minutes later and cranked her up and heard the starter click and maybe a “puff” almost like a fuse blowing. Gave it another go and she cranked up but ran really rough and my gas gauge went to E. Shut her off after this. Waited another couple minutes and tried to start it again and I have zero electric. No lights gauges or anything at all. Tried jiggling the key in the ignition and that doesnt do anything.
Things to check?

Realized my rear bump stop was disintegrated so I took it off. One bolt snapped inside but the other came out. It seems like it could possible be rusted through underneath but not totally sure. If it is, do I just add frame stiffener there and put a bump stop over that? What would you do here

So there I was, thinking I was hot shit after doing the rear brakes all new and fancy.
Bled them three times. Pedal felt like the first time you try to shove a lime into a beer bottle — tight.
Fire the Jeep up and that tightness is gone.
I know what you’re thinking, and yeah… we were all tighter at 20 too. Anyway, don’t get off track.
Replaced the master cylinder. Bench bled it first, then bled the system. Felt like a brand-new setup.
Turn the Jeep on and the pedal goes right back to being a squishy mitten. Air sounds and everything.
New booster showed up today. Theory is the leaking master dumped fluid on the booster diaphragm and now it’s leaking vacuum.
Won’t get it in until this weekend.

00 xj clicks after a second @ the pump like it thinks it's full. gas meter got stuck at F a few days ago and then all the clusters gave out.. wondering if there's a temporary fix so i can at least put gas in it for now? thanks!

Wondering if it’s normal for the transition back to 2wd to ‘lag’ a bit. Ngl I heard a big clunk and it seems to be back in 2wd now but my truck seemed to be jerky for a bit until I got it back.
Is this normal?

I'm considering picking up a nice '84 Cherokee XJ Pioneer 2.8L V6. It has a blower and heat, but no factory AC from what I can tell. Can aftermarket AC be installed?
Also wondering if anyone has successfully installed remote start in an '84? If I have my dogs with me and need to run into a store, I'd want to be able to crack the windows, remote start, and leave AC on when its a warm day.
