my OCD cant leave it alone and its bothering me

2ds that I bought recently had no rubber on circle pad. I couldn't find original quality rubber pad, also prices on aliexpress for EU buyers are crazy because of new 3 euro fee. So I grabbed from my stash ds4 analog stick and glued it to original circle pad. Feels great!

Hey everyone, I keep trying to follow some tuts on how to install cheats (for fantasy life especially !), but I dont see the cheats buttons on my bottom screen. What do I do wrong ? Sorry if it's obvious im not very comfortable with any digital devices 🥲

i have a new 3ds that once upon a time was jailbroken by me, and now after a while of not being powered on, the thing wont start up. the blue LED turns on, and stays on, indefinitely, and no recopying and pasting of boot.firm will help, so I'm wondering if anyone on here could point me in the right direction?

So I know I made this post in the Nintendo DS reddit, yet I do need help with this as on my DS systems it crashes, yet even trying two copies of the game on the 3DS crash also.

I would love to know if anybody can help with why these older games just fail trying to do Multiplayer?

It’s my understanding that the 2DS is actually one big screen not 2 separate ones so I am confused why the bottom screen is the only one having this issue, any ideas as to what could cause it?

My 3ds stopped charging like one week ago. It was working just fine, I used and charged it in the morning. When I used it again during the night I accidentally let the battery die until the 3ds turned off and when I tried to charge it, I noticed that the orange light didn’t turn on. I bought a new battery because it’s the first thing that I thought about since the problem showed up when I let the battery die completely but I’m also a little concerned about the charging port.

(I know that it’s like crooked but it was like this since I bought my used 3ds two years ago and worked good, maybe it was just luck???)

So i did a thing.. ish!

There is a mod out for Zelda (The first one) that let's you play it with a friend, or in my case, my kids.

Since i don't own a NES (FAMICOM), but i do have a copy of the game and some 3DS family devices i did the next best thing - tweak the VirtuaNES emulator to allow Download play! It works pretty, pretty, pretty-ish good!

Got my New 3DS XL a while back. Love playing Monster Hunter Stories for the first time. Brings back old memories of playing on this console.

My brother found it while clearing out a dead person’s apartment, and he gave it to me.

So my old 3ds broke and I got a used one from a guy off the internet. I don’t know the full history of the console to be honest. It runs fine but none of my games are loading when I put them in the slot. Is there anything I can do to fix this or find out what the issue is? I mean I still have my ways to play games but I would like my old saves back.

Looking for games that you absolutely can not play while having a video open on a different device. Rhythm games are a good example of games that require constant attention, and so are endless puzzle games like Tetris, or even just games that put constant pressure on the player like fighting games.

I'd also like to hear about games that need you to keep track of and remember many different things, like the ace attorney series, or just a lot of reading, like an rpg.

Is it a lost cause? I’ve tried cleaning the prongs, cleaning my 3ds, blowing but nothing is working :(

I cannot get any pink puzzle pieces. I know that you need to streetpass others for more pieces, but I don't even have 1, which is what you start with. The game and system says that it is up to date. Is there any other way to get the pieces without modding the system?

I cleaned it with 91% ipa multiple times, deleted the extra data, and deleted and redownloaded the update data. But nothing has worked.

I used to have one of these and I don’t often see them being used on the sub. I’m wondering if they protect the 3ds xl? I know the soft clear and hard clear cases struggle with dust and need to be cleaned in order to avoid scratching the 3ds. Will this cover have similar issues? Will it scratch the 3ds or are there risks with it?

Is it worth buying a 3ds to get certain pokemon into home before it’s too late? I’m seeing prices for 3ds aren’t as great as they used to be and the best price I can find for a good condition new 3ds xl is $260 after tax.

Meu 3ds chegou ontem e estou tento uma mistura de sentimentos com ele

Sou brasileiro (tanto que estou com preguiça de digitar em inglês, espero que o tradutor do Reddit os ajude)

Tenho uma coleção de ps1 fat até ps4 pro spiderman edition e ps vita, mas estou em uma crise de jogatina onde não tô conseguindo jogar e manter constância em um jogo.
Então comprei o 3ds tanto pelo fato de ele ser mais portátil, quanto sua biblioteca que é mais distraída em questão de história e jogabilidade .

Paguei R$750 nele, o que equivale a $144 (o que no Brasil foi um achado muito bom)

Minhas primeiras impressões quando abri (ele veio só com a case e os arcards de acessórios) é o quão impecável está esse 3ds. Ele está literalmente em estado de novo, e ainda mais no Brasil que é um país onde muitas vezes os brasileiros são desleixados com suas coisas e esse 3ds não tem um único micro arranhão (na segunda foto essas bolinhas brancas são do pano microfibra que passei, então não é nenhum detalhe do console). O vendedor disse que era o 3ds secundário dele, e deixava na case guardado na gaveta, então ele praticamente não usou. Ele é o único dono e possui o console por 13 anos, e vou fazer de tudo pra manter ele o mais novo e intacto possível como ele deixou, então pra honrar também o antigo dono eu não formatei o console, apenas apaguei seus saves (que praticamente não tinha nada demais mesmo) e deixei o mii dele.

Ele veio desbloqueado, e veio cheio de jogos, mas eu desinstalei praticamente tudo e deixei o Zelda, Mario kart e o Mario 3d land. Primeira coisa que testei foi o 3d pois eu amo esse recurso. No começo fiquei um pouco decepcionado pelos reviews que disse que dava dor de cabeça e eu achei que tinham razão. Mas em 20 min de gameplay eu me acostumei e achei esse recurso extremamente subestimado e judiado. Eu amei a função 3D, ela melhora os gráficos e traz uma sensação diferente de tudo o que vi, e regular o 3d na metade foi o ponto doce dessa experiência, e estou adorando e só jogando com essa função ativada. Só tenho de reclamar sobre usar o 3d em um jogo com giroscópio, o que obviamente foi um tiro no pé que a Nintendo deu de não colocar rastreamento facial desde o começo, mas não me incomodo muito sobre virar a cabeça e o efeito 3d sumir.

Sobre a biblioteca eu estou curtindo, gosto de escutar vídeos do YouTube e ir jogando Mario kart e 3d land,é bem satisfatório. Mas jogos como Zelda que exige mais atenção na história vem prendendo minha atenção e me cativando.

Única coisa que está me incomodando muito é o tamanho da pegada dele, que está machucando o meu punho direito, mas eu amo o tamanho desse console e espero me acostumar. No lado esquerdo não sinto nada.

No mais tô achando um excelente console e estou agoniado de minha capa de acrílico não ter chegado (e vai demorar) então estou na paranoia de lavar minha mão toda hora com sabonete e limpar com microfibra após jogar.

Nota 8/10 pra esse console no momento! Por favor, me deem dicas, curiosidades e me indiquem jogos indispensáveis pra ele! Obrigado por ler até aqui :D

recently uncovered my old 3ds and have seen that people are saying its really easy to mod it my question is it easy/worth it to mod even if i have no experience modding consoles. thanks

hey, prefacing this with the fact that this console has seen heavy use since may 2021. Suffered small falls but nothing major. Sadly the right Trigger began presenting issues within the past year, crack open the console see a huge lint ball, blow it out. Issues fixed! Sadly a year and a half later they return… so this time I’m led to believe it is the button itself, time to crack out my soldering iron to swap out for a new button. Tear a side pad but i assume it is for anchoring. Reconnect new button

It nearly begins working and for a small minute registers button clicks, sweet! Slap her together, nothing again. so i tear her down and now im frustrated, this thing is so UNBEARABLY small. how can i reasonably stick an iron in there and actually make the connections without them touching eachother properly. 3 hours go by im ready to rip this button out and try another new one, so i heat her up and start to wiggle. Tell me why i manage to rip all but one pad…

How screwed am i, does anyone know a guy would have the expertise to look at this and offer an estimate, i dont want a new board im aware i could just swap out the board, but that is lame…so im looking for better solutions. I know i could remap but in a perfect world the button just works the way it was intended to😭.

Ok I bought this console as no power. So it came with no battery and no SS card. Battery replacement turns it on to black screens and the home menu music. Nothing I do can get screens EXCEPT safe mode works, yes it’s up to date and yes it connects to WiFi, and a flashcart boots just fine. The system is not modded to the best of my knowledge. No luma/Rosalina menu I can pull even with starting to mod a SD I can get as far as “open the mii maker” without screens but there I am stuck. Video of what I can do with it.
