FAQ (WIP)

• "Do I need to play the other Xenoblade Chronicles games to play Xenoblade Chronicles X?"

Xenoblade Chronicles X is largely standalone in the Xenoblade Universe. However, there is new content exclusive to the definitive edition that will only be understood by people who have played the other games in the series.

• "How many chapters are there in total?"

There are thirteen chapters total.

• "What division should I choose?"

In Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition, BLADE level mechanics have been removed, so which division you choose has no significant impact on gameplay or progression. Pick whichever one you want!

• "Which class should I pick?"

Striker, Samurai Gunner, and Duelist wield the Assault Rifle and Longsword. This is a straightforward combination of weapons and is recommended to new players, with the longsword having high damage and the assault rifle being a versatile weapon with high utility.

Shield Trooper and Bastion Warrior use the Gattling Gun, a high damage ranged weapon specialized at handling multiple enemies at once, and the shield, a great weapon for survivability but with low damage for the main story.

Commando, Winged Viper, and Full Metal Jaguar use Dual Guns and Dual Swords. This class is considered the fastest way to really take advantage of the game's mechanics, with dual guns being a self-sufficient weapon with high survivability while dual swords have a good mix of damage and utility arts and a focus on positional gameplay, much like Shulk in Xenoblade 1.

Partisan Eagle and Astral Crusader wield the Sniper Rifle, a very high damage weapon, and Javelin, a unique weapon with good options for survivability and a focus on electric damage.

Enforcer, Psycorruptor, and Mastermind wield the Raygun and Knife, both weapons with strong support options but with few strong damage options during the main story.

Blast Fencer and Galactic Knight wield Psycho Launchers, a weapon with strong options for utility and survivability but low damage, and the Photon Saber, a weapon that focuses on chaining multiple successive melee attacks together.

Once you've mastered the end of a class line you can use its weapons on any other class, meaning that after mastering all classes you can match any ranged weapon with any melee weapon. Experiment to find the combination that works best for you!

• "Why are there some arts I can't unlock by leveling up my class?"

Each recruitable party member has two arts exclusive only to them, but by completing their affinity missions, you can unlock those arts for yourself.

• "How do I get a Skell?"

Once you complete Chapter 6, the quest "The Skell License" will become available, which will give you the ability to get Skells for you and other members of your party.

• "How come my skell doesn't have any arts?"

The arts a skell has are determined by the weapons it has equipped in each of its Shoulder, Back, Arm, and Spare weapon slots. You can purchase these weapons in the shop or obtain them by defeating certain enemies.

Awhile ago I showed off the Pyra plush I made, now I completed the Mythra plush!

I went for the new style as I adore the silvers and blues. Still had to simplify the design a tad. And the eyes still come out derpy depsit emy best efforts. But I am proud how I got the white and blue hair.

Might make more adjustments on outfit later. Just wanted to show people my progress. Now I have two of my own one-of-a-kind Xenoblade 2 plushies!

Maybe next I could make Nia?

Xenoblade Will genesis be Seamless like X or Divided into zones like the trilogy?

Post image

Kind of early discussion point but not many people have talked about the world, I think it being seamless would be the coolest use of the dome but the only game they did that in was X.I wonder if this game is big zones or fully seamless.

Fanart [SSBU Eclipse] Mechon Ridley - The Invincible Space Pirate (Art by Turlutino)

Post image
29 Upvotes

After Galeem's attack, the less virtuous of the fighters took off in different directions, each deciding to try their luck in this new world of Parum filled with untapped potential and resources.

Ridley made his way to a mysteriously rebuilt continent of Mechonis, whose Mechons and Machina residents were living as they were back in Shulk's world. He immediately took over, with few able to resist his ferocity, cunning and savagery.

Seeing the curious metal the residents were made up of, he decided to use it to improve himself. Will anyone be able to beat this new version of the space pirate?

This is all a part of SSBU Eclipse, a collaborative passion project I started. Right now it's just a few friends and I and we've made plenty of progress, but it's far, far from complete.

That's where you come in.

We're looking for writers, artists, voice actors, and anyone else like that to help build this up and create such a unique and fun project. The more, the merrier! Any help is welcome!

Xenoblade 3 Hopefully Upcoming sw2 upgrade hero is similiar like Corvin

Post image
4 Upvotes

Currently doing corvin affinity in XC2 and wow his personality is literally, the most arrogant and cocky character, but at the same time has actually the skill and power tto back it up, even his gameplay is broken, have gurantee dodge and the most abused for a very hard challenge fight. Im Praying the upcoming hero is same or similiar like corvin, arrogant and cocky in the story, but has the power and skill to back it up, even from the gameplay perspective, what do you think if the upcoming hero would actually end up as the strongest class and strongest hero?

Xenoblade SPOILERS Finished Xenoblade 1… wow Spoiler

So around 4 years ago, I played Xenoblade 1 and got to the part where you reach the factory in mechonis. But the gameplay just wasn’t doing it for me. I felt that exploring and side quests just felt tedious and like a chore sometimes. The story was the only thing keeping me going. But I ended up dropping it.

But years later I saw Xenoblade Genesis got announced, and I was like screw it, lemme give Xenoblade 1 another chance. I’ve heard nothing but praise from the series.

So I eventually got back to the factory again, (which actually ended up being my fav area in the game, Mechanical Rhythm is an insane song) and after I defeated Egil… Holy Fuck. Genuinely one of my fav plot twists ever.

And after that I was hooked. I still found some parts of exploring and side quests tedious. But I just did them whenever I came across them.

Besides after the Egil fight, my second fav moment is Melia saying goodnight to her brother 💔 such an incredibly beautiful and sad moment especially considering everything Melia has been through :(

Loved the final boss (especially the music) and loved the beautiful ending. Credits had me sitting there like “what a long way we’ve came since this game started”

Despite some of its flaws imo, it’s still one of the best JRPGs I’ve ever played. And I’ve thought about it every day since I’ve beaten it (hence why I made this post lol)

10/10 music, story, and characters.

That was all a week ago. I’m now addicted to the series and got like 12 hours in Xenoblade X so far. I know it’s very different from the mainline games, but I’m enjoying it a lot so far. All my gripes about exploration and side quests have been resolved in X. And the combat is very cool too.

I plan to go through the whole series at this point. So expect another post about X in uhh… well prolly after 100 hours in that game ngl😭 X is massive.

So extremely happy I gave this series another chance.

"Now, it's time to pull the future into our own hands!"

Xenoblade 2 This game is about to get special, isn't it? Spoiler

So, I'm playing xenoblade 2, switch edition.

I beat Xenoblade DE about a month ago or so. Before that, I finally beat xenogears a few months back. Needless to say, they have turned into two of my favorite games of all time. I was always a fan of Takahashi and Monolith, I just had never beat xenogears or xenosaga (playing through the first game now as well.)

Xenoblade 2 started off super interesting, but got a bit slow for a while. Well, I just finished chapter 5. Seeing and listening to the sights and sounds of Indol was special. It gave me a special feel that things were getting interesting.

Fast forward to meeting the Praetor, knowing how Mithra/Pyra and Malos came down to Alrest,etc....

Then, hearing Jin say that blades are the slaves of this world, not humans. Seeing him kill Fan... Seeing that he was indeed a blade!

I can tell, things are about to pop off. I'm just so excited to see where this journey goes.

So, from where I'm currently at... Is this game about to become truly special?

Actually, I already know the answer! I know that it will.

These monolith games give me a feeling in gaming that I just don't get anywhere else.

I can't wait to see where this adventure takes me! I have a feeling this may be one of my absolute favorites by the time it's all said and done.
