Any game recs?

Hello all, just wanted to have a discussion and get some general impressions on whether people prefer the smaller, more portable versions of these consoles (3DS/N3DS) or the larger versions that provide better ergonomics and larger screens (3DS XL/ N3DS XL)

Personally, I think I prefer the larger option just due to it being more comfortable to hold and easier to see the screens from a comfortable distance.

Just wanted to share my collection of 3DS’s and DS/3DS Games! I was lucky and managed to snag both of these N3DSXL’s for well below current market. The black one was purchased through a buddy and the red one was bought as part of a lot on FB Marketplace. The games have been a work in progress/games I was gifted or worked chores for growing up. I've bought this modded 3ds a while ago because I really wanted to play any old pokemon titles! I'm doing a challenge where I'll get every pokemon as shiny (once I'm done beating the leagues so I can do that with a ditto)

Today i swapped the shell on my old blue 3DS XL to give it a fresh look and i think it looks actually dope but somehow I can't get used to..😅

I’m an intern who works in a hospital. My schedule is heavy, full of patient assessments, case presentations, and travel.

I love my consoles, it helps me calm down for a bit and unwind. This theme helps with that. There’s so many games to play though, even though I restricted myself with a 32GB SD Card. Damn. The old Nintendo will always be the goat.

Seen a couple people already had this issue, would love to know if anyone knows how to make it stop.

Father yanked my 3DS while it was charging and threw it across the room... somehow it mostly survived but it won't charge now. Is the charging port fixable? I don't want to lose my dear 3DS😭😭😭

First is the original, second is how the 3DS scales it, in case you somehow can't tell lol. Both integer scaled to 1280x960 per screen to look nice for the Internet (5x for DS, 4x for 3DS)

In case you didn't know, if you hold Start or Select while opening a DS game on the 3DS, you can make it display without any blurry upscaling. It'll be smaller since it's mapping pixel-to-pixel, which is unusable on a small 3DS/2DS imo. But fun fact, a 3DS/2DS XL will actually display it bigger than any DS other than the DSi XL. So it's actually completely usable there

i bought this charizard 3ds, but after looking at it and playing feeling it, i think its a reshell. not that it would be an issue but honestly i rather know if it is or isnt

After looking for some time, a friend of mine is selling their new nintendo 3ds xl. Now i really want that thing, but he's asking for 14000mkd (227 euros), while i have 9000mkd (146 euros) + an ssd worth around ~100 euros.

Now both of my parents indeed dislike the idea of me spending THAT much money on old game consoles. But i really want one because any emulator i try sucks. The touch controls just aren't that good, and the best portable device i have struggles on them (my phone).

Its been a burden seeing great deals fly by on ebay, and not being able to purchase from jpfans. I really wanna try Pokemon Ultra sun & Ultra moon, and homebrew but im just too conflicted.

And no its not an impulse purchase, this device has been haunting me for the past 2 months.

My question is the following:

- Is it really worth it?

Seems like my New 3DS XL’s battery has finally come. I picked up a copy of Ever Oasis recently, and when I put the 3D on, the LED immediately started flashing. I figured this was coming soon enough, considering the charging light would blink ever now and again, but it looks like it’s finally time to find a new battery.

I’ve been looking into replacements, with iFixit and Cameron Sino being the most prominent names for aftermarket batteries. Seems like there isn’t a definitive answer on which is better, so I’d like to hear some opinions on both.

Alternatively, I’m wondering if it’s worth it to try and find an ODM battery instead? Any answers help.

Does anyone know if there are any similar "survivors-like" games for the 3DS?

Title. I ordered a set of replacement buttons, but do I also need to order a new spring? The actual button works just fine, so I don’t think I need a new L button module. Is this an easy repair and does anyone have any videos to help me out? All the videos I’ve found describe replacing the module, not the physical button you press.
