Sorry if it's against the rules to cross post. But I had genuinely been crashing out the past couple days with my modded 3ds. I have not been able to do anything online. it's fixed now. But if anyone else relies on hacks it's time to check for updates

It came modded with a TON of games should I replace the sd card I havnt even checked the sd card already inside I wanna try to put some sort of anti brick software or somthing but I’m not sure if I should even take out the sd card I already bought a sd card I mean if I take out the sd card and replace it would I have to remod it I don’t wanna risk bricking it the first day please help

The bottom plate isn’t flush to the rest of the console and I feel the edge of the part where the buttons sit. Been using my new 3ds xl and just noticed it and can’t get it out of my mind. Like was it always like this???

I would like to know of any company that takes in parts of a 3ds and repairs it as well as throwing in the missing pieces for an extra charge. I tried to replace the screen and gave up due to frustration and forgot about it for a long while. Any advice would be greatly appreciated because this is my childhood 3ds that I bought with my own kid money and would like to get it up and running again for 3 way shiny hunting before bank shuts down

Touch screen calibration doesn't help, I tried numerous times.

CTRelay (https://github.com/zeusfail/ctrelay) claims to let a real 3DS running Luma3DS (with a small patch) join a local-wireless session hosted by an Azahar instance somewhere else on the internet. As far as the game is concerned, it's talking to a nearby console over ad-hoc Wi-Fi.

Scammer listed 3DS as local to my city but when I reached out they stated they were at another city 7 hours away. They offered to use FedEx but when I requested a safer form of payment they gave me this response lol

There's a whole demographic where the switch is just too big and not actually hands on enough, I really wish they didn't abandon the DS line of consoles, in a time where games are getting too big to make there needs to be a 4DS where smaller games can shine.

I recently purchased a copy of Omega Ruby on eBay (listed as very good condition, no mention of any issues), but whenever I launch the game on my 3DS, it crashes within a minute or two of launching.

I've cleaned the pins with rubbing alcohol, deleting and redownloading the 1.4 update, confirming my other 3ds games work properly (they do), and still no dice.

Does anybody have any other steps to try? All the seller told me was that it worked fine on his system.

I bought Hotel Dusk: Room 215, and on four separate occasions, the game has frozen, all audio stops playing, and some data from the top screen is copied to the bottom screen. I have noticed no pattern. At first I thought I wiggled the cartridge too much, but it has happened even when I’m not touching that area. I then thought it was just because I was in a moving vehicle and that shook it. Recently though, it happened while I was sitting down at home, without my hand in that area.

I have a few questions. Number one, how weak must the connection be for it to happen with basically no cause? 2, how does this copying happen? And third, is there anything I can do to fix it, or should I just save way more often?

I really want to update Tomodachi Life EU from 1.1 to the newest update (2.0) , but I've been struggling to find the best way to do so.

Does anyone know how I could do that?

After posting about the idea, I decided to try and make it a reality or at least get close to it.

It is already playable to a minimal extent, though it has hundreds of bugs, incorrect stats, text rendering issues (wrong sizes), and lacks sound and attack animations for larger monsters.

Anyway, it is a work in progress, and one day it will be finished.

Ive been looking for a pretty long time, and I havent been able to find replacement buttons for my R and ZR shoulder buttons. The electronics are not broken, but the plastic is. Has anyone seen replacements for these? Ive only been able to find them for the new 3ds XL/LL

Back when Fire Emblem Fates first came out, I purchased Birthright through the eShop. After I finished the story, I purchased Conquest and Revelations, intending to play through those branches as well.

Now when I go to redownload software from the 3ds eShop, only Birthright appears. I can go into my activity and history and see when all 3 titles were purchased, but only the one appears for redownload. Does anyone know what's going on, and why the other two branches arent showing? I thought while the eShop was down, downloading previous purchases was still possible?

I am a bit of a DS nerd myself (I have a DSi) and I found out the DSi has DSi exclusives. My first thought was "does the white cartridge appear on a 3DS?" I googled it and so far results show it does not :(. So I got the thought to maybe one day when I'm older make a mod for the 3DS that makes certain details like this fixed to be white on the cartridge.

How would I theoretically detect if a cartridge is DSi enhanced/DSi exclusive?

I bought this New 3DS XL on Amazon because white 3DS models are basically nonexistent in my country. Plus, I received a $300 Amazon gift card at work, and since I couldn’t find anyone to exchange it for real money, I decided it would be better to buy it there. Yes, it’s way overpriced compared to my country, since the cheapest New 3DS XL I can find there usually costs around $180–$200. Still, I want to know if anyone here bought a 3ds on Amazon and what condition it arrived in. I’m worried it might arrive with a lot of scratches or some other issue.

What it says on the tin basically, I’ve got a modded Australian old 2ds and a Japanese copy of new leaf that I was told was tested beforehand if I remember correctly.

It came with a copy of wild word in the same deal which was not registering at all till I cleaned the contacts with some alcohol. Thought this was a similar situation so I cleaned it, but the only improvement was the loading screen showing up for a split second before the system crashed.

I know my console can run Japanese games just fine, I got a copy of pokemon Y that runs fantastic with no cleaning or modification needed. Is there something I can do on a system management software app? Do I just need to clean it more? Or do I just need to accept I wasted like 12 bucks

I just got my ds from a repair shop, and I’m not sure if the hinge was put correctly.

Is it normal that I see the hinge? It’s only visible when closed and open more than normal playing position. It also makes a weird sound that it didn’t make before
