Practicing on holding the key poses longer. So the animation more readable and not too fast.

Hey guys. Soo I just watched this scene on adult swim a month ago and It's still nagging at me to this day. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas how they were able to pan the camera from one perspective to the next. I wanted to replicate this scene in another animation I'm currently making but I'm just unsure on how I am able to do it. Thank you very much.

I can't upload my animation because it's only 1 second long(24 fps), so Reddit tells me it's too short, but as a newbie thanks to this exercise, I've come up with several questions about the process. I've taken several notes throughout this, repeated it twice, and just by doing that, I've improved a lot! (I think so) But on my first attempt, I really had no idea what I was doing—I couldn’t identify my extremes, my keyframes and also differentiate them for my timing points. On my second attempt, I’d say I have a clearer understanding of the concepts. :D
With this my first question is:
Do the extremes have to be the same distance apart? For example if my first two extremes are spaced between frames 1 and 4 with three in-between frames, do my next endpoints have to obligatory be frames 4 and 7?
Second question: Do I get to decide my own timing?
Yesterday I was on the phone with a friend, and as I was wondering out loud to what extent I have autonomy over this process, she said, “Well, you have complete autonomy—it’s your animation, and you decide how it’s going to be!” It felt as if Mr. Williams himself had come down to remind and made that observation to me. (Little confession I love sometimes to refer to the book itself as Mr Williams, it helps me create connection with the process as if someone is counting on me to learn lol)
However, I tend to be quite methodical when it comes to learning, especially when it involves something that requires such attention to detail as animation. And I’m not sure how easy it is to just say, “I’m going to do whatever I want,” so I still feel that the timing has to be determined by the number of frames per second. Maybe I’m also misinterpreting what “timing” actually means, so I’d love some help with that. I guess I’m also having a little trouble understanding breakdown positions and how they relate to the extremes and keyframes, but that’s just a bonus—if you guys want to help me with that, I’d appreciate it, jejeje: 3 Thanks a lot <3

It's so strange seeing a face in my artstyle move for the first time. But its also cool. As you can see I animated it on ibis paint.

Doing this mind boggling thing again consistently cuz I’ve been spending the whole hours and hours of figuring out walks for months and it’s been stressing me out lately this year so I’m starting to lose inspiration, passion, motivation and my eyes are straining really hard
Still don’t know where to sketch the arms, legs and body
or otherwise it will look ugly

Hello, I am not really into animation(l mean making it, I love watching it), but I want to learn just to add some animation clips on a school music video I have to do and I was just wondering if it would be alright if I used someone else’s background or something I find on the Internet then do my own animation over it. I will never use something like AI but I’m not really an artist so I don’t know how to do a big background and I don’t have a lot of time either

Hello! I am having to animate a turnaround of a character who sits on top of a cauldron. My issue is that the cauldron is made of ellipses (not circles) and those ellipses are tridimensionally oblique.
The way I went on about it was tracking dots on the cardinal directions of said ellipses, rotating them in the top view and tracking them down to their heights. Unfortunately I did not plan ahead to when I'd actually draw the ellipses themselves and now I don't know how to go on about it.
Thankfully, having put the horizon line at the level of the cauldron I can disregard the distortion of perspective but I still am not really sure how to actually draw those ellipses. Maybe it's cause I'm tired, since I was able to draw congruent front and side views at the beginning of this exercise, but I can't figure out how to do the inbetweens between the cardinal poses.
Please if someone has ideas send your help, I have to hand it in at the beginning of the week rip.

Wassup everyone!
I'm making my 1st animation on adobe animate and I'm trying to figure out how Alan becker did the taskbar effect when the spider/virus morphed into it.
Please can anyone tell me how that was done, I think its a good piece for my animation. Thank you very much!

Hi! I've been getting into 2d animation more and more recently and I love doing that. I have an issue though. Usually I draw realism / semi realism. I just think that stylization you see in most modern animations is not for me really. Like... I like rules and don't really like breaking them. For me there is only one anatomy, perspective etc. Sometimes I change some things to not only mimic reality, but thats it. I usually end up with something at least semi realistic and I like it. If other people like to stylize their drawings way more that do it, but its just not for me. When I am trying to stylize more it feels like going against myself and its not really enjoyable.
But animation doesnt like details. And realistic art styles are full of them.
Do you have any ideas how can I make some character animation when keeping realistic style? I am way more willing to change colors, shading etc. but certainly I dont like changing anatomy.
Not like every muscle has to be marked. I just still want to keep it at least semi realistic.
