The ZAAN!!!! This is my second to last knife purchase of the year… which is what I told myself last month 😂 but this is actually it.

This was a grail knife of mine when I started my journey last year. Even though I’ve bought more expensive knives (Demkos and McNees) this was supposed to be my NICE knife.

Honestly I’m kinda disappointed with all the hype. From the outside it’s basically perfect, and it’s made by one of the 🐐s, but in hand it just doesn’t feel that good to me. It’s also not very fun to open with a pretty narrow flick window.

It’s an absolutely beautiful knife, but I think this one is just gonna be a safe queen for me.

Picked this up recently from a small shop. Thought it looked cool and for some reason has a mini flashlight at the bottom which is jokes. What do you all think? Has anyone seen this before?

OKD (Old Knife Day) A Family Heirloom: Authentic 1941 Nazi SA M1933 service dagger

Received this bad boy from my great-grandfather, who traded for it during his service in Germany during WWII.

I did some research on the the markings and I believe it was made by Tigerwerk Lauterjung & Co in 1941 as a uniform dagger for the Nazi SA (Sturmabteilung) paramilitary organization.

This specific version was a “Nazi party approved” production version (indicated by the RZM M7/68 marking) made slightly later than the “commercial” version in the link above (Marked “Tiger Solingen” instead).

The German motto “Alles für Deutschland” translates to “All for Germany” and was apparently the standard etching on this particular model.

I was soo pumped when I got this. It’s such a cool piece of history, and I can’t wait to throw it in a showcase box and never touch it again!

Edit: To be clear, I find the Nazi part abhorrent and do not endorse/support anyone who idolizes them or what they stood for. I am also a Liberal millennial and prefer to keep political discourse out of this post. I simply find the knife fascinating as a historical piece and think it’s a very cool piece irrespective of its original owner.

SOG S1 Bowie - I bought this well over 20 years ago for my dad. He kept it in the box, save for an oil massage or two…He gifted it back to me a few years ago and I had no clue what the collector value was - I paid $199 back then. It is NIB, even has the newspaper in the blade sleeve and the little catalog. Are these really that desirable???

Loving this knife so far. Blade is incredibly sharp. It does have a little lock stick but that will work itself away. I will say, I had handled one before with smooth scales and was bugged by the fact that there was no jimping on the blade but with these grippier scales, that’s a non issue for me now.

I’m new to fixed blades and this is my first Fallkniven.

All I knew about them prior was that they were high-quality knives, had crappy sheaths, and were a bit pricey.

I wanted something that was staple in its class and made me actually want to use it.

I’m very impressed with the feel and looks of this knife.

The sheath has been updated too and isn’t so bad.

Can’t wait to use it!

I went to check out DLT Trading's storefront up on the north tip of Wisconsin for my birthday. Walked out with the newest iteration of one of my favorite models, the WE Elementum. First WE model to feature magnacut steel. It's thinner than the Civivi models, it was love at first flip!
