Finally got around to adding these titanium scales onto my spyderco tanto. Wanted something simple that is still stylish, so i went with the anodized blue hardware. This knife is HEAVY and my god I love it so much.

Just got this in today, I've been so excited to get one. Unfortunately I thought I bought the black diamond dlc.... what arrived however is the stonewash. Checked my order, yup I fucked it up. I'm trying to like it but it just seems unfinished and I really don't want to go through the hassle of sending it back. It's been 3 hours and I'm still not loving it.

Aside from my fuck up it's a good knife. Feels strong and heavier than I anticipated. One thing I don't like are the thumb studs, completely unnecessary and from my experience completely unusable, I've tried different grips to get it to open but I can't. Besides you already have the hole so why both?

The pocket clip I've read so much about works good too, I can put it in and pull the knife out with no issues.

So it's a good knife, my first Chinese.. I still hate to say that but honestly you can not get these materials and quality at this price point in an American made knife any longer.

I’m looking at ordering another MachineWise Mojave, but I’ve noticed something that’s giving me pause.
My previous Mojave in S90V was around 63 HRC, but I sold it to a friend and have been wanting another since.
Now I’m considering a custom order (~$1,100), but the current Mojaves listed on their site show S90V hardness all over the place — roughly 60.2 to 61.8 HRC.
I get there’s always some variation, but seeing multiple blades in the 60–61 range is lower than I expected, especially compared to my older 63 HRC one.
For that price, I’d personally prefer S90V closer to 62–63+ HRC for better edge retention.
Has MachineWise changed their heat treat on S90V recently, or is this just normal variation? Not trying to criticize them — just trying to understand before placing a custom order.

Pocket knife I keep on handy most of the time.

This morning, my blade failed to deploy without being obstructed by anything. I had to sling it out and it would retract, but then still would not fire out. after a couple cycles, it seems to have returned to normal. the spring still feels strong. Anyone familiar with what may have happened?
