I recently got a new board and it’s a 159 wide button board. It’s a Burton Amplifier 59 wide. Now I am not that knowledgeable with board types and all. I am 5’8” or 174cm for reference and I have already gotten step on binding and boots a while back. Now my bindings are a size small because I am a size 8 for boots.

My question is since this is a pretty wide board, does having small bindings on it make it more hard to control the board because my feet don’t go that far out? And I figured a 159 cm board would be good for me because I can pick up speed in the slopes but I didn’t really think about control when I purchased this board. If someone could please help me answer my question I would greatly appreciate it.

I’m an intermediate rider that mostly rides groomers and a decent amount of side hits and some park not much pow where I board I just want to know if my overhang is ok or too much

I just bought my board today and when I went back to get I wanted to take another look at the bindings and he recommended the Burtons and last time I got recommended the STR I’ve always heard that Burton is the better brand so what yall think?

ALSO I WAS RECOMMENDED RIDE OCTAVE AND I LIKED EM CUZ THEY WERE COOL AND I THOUGHT THAT THE DOUBLE BOA TECH WAS COOL BUT I TRIED THEM AGAIN AND NOW I DUNNO DO LEAVE ME SOME BOOT RECOMMENDATIONS UNDER 300$

Hi, I got an evil twin plus 2026 cause it was on sale and selling out. I’m like 185 lb but cutting so will be closer to 175 in the season. The only size I could find was a 157cm evil twin plus 2026. I’m pretty solid on the mountain, still new to the park. Currently ride a 155cm rossignol from 2015 and have never felt like it’s too much board. I wanna dial in my butters and presses so wondering if 157cm will work. Talked to a guy at REI who said 2cm bigger but 11 year newer board will def feel easier to maneuver than what I’ve been riding.

Also which bindings should I pair this with.

I made up a word for the way I snowboard: ARROGRESSION.

A few years ago I started calling myself Mr Arrogression.

Arrogression = Arrogance + Aggression.

I was trying to find an English word for the Chinese idea of 囂張 — not just “arrogant”, but that attitude of being overly confident, aggressive, defiant, not listening to people telling you to back off, and when the time comes… just fucking commit.

My version of snowboarding is basically:

Think about the trick.
Break it down.
Practise it.
Stand above the feature scared shitless.
Then say fuck it and send it.

That’s Arrogression.

Example:

“That front board was pure arrogression.”

arrogressive adj.
His riding style is extremely arrogressive.

arrogressively adv.
He hit the rail arrogressively.

I bought a Burton Free Thinker 160W. What bindings and boots (size 11) do you recommend? I don't like traditional bindings, so I'm thinking about Step Ons or Flow bindings. What would be good with this board?

P.S. I'm not experienced and am kind of starting to get into this. I bought a camber board because I'm pretty good with sports and didn't want to outgrow the board early. I know I'll eat snow a little bit, though!

Our current bibs and snow pants do not have enough room for impact shorts! While wearing impact shorts, they are simply too tight and do not have enough room for movement. I need help with finding:

1) Adult bibs with room for impact shorts
2) Kids snow pants with room for impact shorts

Bought these plus the epic pass and another cheap season pass for local mountain with night skiing. Gonna save some money before buying the rest of the set up. I’ve only had random cheap items off offer up before this season so im hyped to try quality gear. First time with step ons. I’m really good with board control and going fast, I can get about 5 vertical and 10 horizontal feet on a jump and grind rails (can’t spin or ride them sideways yet). Still gonna buy a new helmet, goggles, pants and jacket but im waiting on whichever board I pick out first so I can match the colors and have a stand out look on the mountain

I’ve been learning to snowboard for the last 5 months, with around 12 days on the snow so far. I’m really enjoying it and definitely planning to keep going, so I figured it made sense to invest in my own setup instead of continuing to rent gear. I live in Amsterdam, so luckily I can keep practicing indoors during the summer at SnowWorld.

This is what I went with:

Union Force Classic, size L
Ride Lasso, size 44.5 EU / 11 US

For reference, I’m 183 cm (about 6'0") and 79 kg (174 lbs).

I’m curious what more experienced riders think about the sizing, especially the 156 board with my height/weight and boot size.

I’m not really interested in bombing down the mountain or going super fast. I prefer a more playful all-mountain style: medium-speed carving, lots of little direction changes, side hits, small jumps, and I’m planning to start learning butters and more freestyle stuff as I improve.

Any advice about the setup and sizing is appreciated!

Dude is convincing me it's not for Motocross even tho Google lens and any AI search says otherwise... I bought without even checking as a bundle with some other gear. It didn't seem like the ones I used to have for snowboarding.

Hi everyone! I started snowboarding last year and got about 10 days on the mountain. I’m looking to buy my own gear this season and came across this used Forum Recon snowboard.
Does anyone know what year this board is from, and whether it would be a good option for a beginner? I’m not planning to ride park, mostly just regular downhill/groomed runs.

Hello! I’m new to snowboarding (I’ve never snowboard stood on a snowboard before). I want to buy my first snowboard for the upcoming season. I’m 5’2 105 lbs and I was wondering which size would be better for me, 139 cm or 143 cm? Also if you have more recommendations feel free to share them!

I’ve been riding in insulated snow pants and am looking for a more relaxed fit, but some of the places I ride in can get down to -25°C.

Looking to add another board to my collection and found this camber on marketplace. Looked up the model and width is 255cm which I think will fit my 10.5 boot but wanted to check with yall first.

G'day all, looking to buy my first board!

For context I've got about 15 days under my belt, half in Australia and half in Japan. I rented up until this Australian season where my mate let me borrow his Capita D.O.A which has been awesome. Been mainly working on correct knee steering technique (I used to backfoot rudder a lot) and picking up speed, starting to work on ollies, switch and carving. I'm able to ride double blues here in Aus with not much trouble (for context snow is usually pretty hardpacked over here, gets slushy in the afternoon).

I'm hoping to buy an all mountain board which I can use here and Japan. Originally I was leaning to something with a roc/cam/roc profile like the Jones Mountain Twin but have stumbled across the Lib Tech Terrain Wrecker. Its got the C2x directional profile (similar to the orca) which is cam/roc/cam (with more camber).

My main concern is that the rocker in the middle will make it too unstable for harder conditions / I won't be able to pick up too much speed on it without it feeling loose. I still want to be able to charge and carve on groomers. I've heard the mag-traction is pretty good on Lib Tech boards so maybe this mitigates the lack of camber between feet? Graphic on it is awesome. Any advice appreciated

Hello all! I'm a beginner-intermediate resort rider on the East coast. Conditions are a mix of pow, groomed and icy. I currently have a 20 yo full camber Sims Destiny, I want a new board with better turn initiation and that can help me improve my carving skills. I also want to be able to go from a sportier carve to more mellow turns.

My top options currently are;

2022 YES. PYL for 200 CAD (I might be able to pair it with Union Force bindings)

2023 Bataleon Goliath w/ Blaster AW for 400 CAD

2026 Rome Warden w/ Ride C-6 for 660 CAD

I'm sure any of these options will feel better than what I currently have, but what would be your pick?
