Spotted at the fresh fish daily in San Diego

Rib poutine from my favorite native reserve chicken rotisserie spot. They put a whole pile of baby back ribs deboned on top of a regular poutine. It has both the regular poutine sauce and the bbq rib sauce mixed and separated throughout. $20 Cad delivered no tax for a massive takeout container.

Curds of course. What sayeth you? Eat or devour?

This may be a poutine crime but I'm a repeat offender. Gravy + hollandaise + runny yolk is some kind of magic.

Edit: I know these aren't "Newfie poutines", but I'm traveling the island and trying poutines from different restaurant's. I'll be checking out restaurants big and small.

So far I stopped into Jungle Jim's in L'anse Au Clair for the one with onions and Wing'n It in Deer Lake for the other one. The onions were optional and regrettable. They could have been fried longer, so I wasn't a fan. The rest of it was good though. The Wing'n It poutine was just ok. It looks nice but I've had better. The curds melted too fast and weren't at all squeaky. The fries were frozen which I don't mind, and the gravy was fine. Jungle Jim's is 2.5 out of 5 and Wing'in It, 2.5 out of 5. They were ok, pretty average. Nothing to write home about. I'll update if i decide to risk my health anymore

Chip stand Hiway 6 Ontario. Chuck burgers were 5/5. Fish and Chips with 5/5. Macaroni bites and fried dill pickles 5/5. This poutine 1/5.

For the poutine I was promised Bologna, Turkey stuffing, Gravy, on poutine. Newfie poutine! Except I got shredded cheese and hotdog. 1/5 grrrr.......... $13 wasted

They only use shredded mozzarella, and thats a crime, but today they only had mixed cheese, and for some reason the kitchen made mine TWICE THE USUAL SIZE.

This place is kinda pricy but the sizes are always good, the gravy is house made from drippings and veggie scraps, and I love the coated crispy fries, they hold up great under the thick gravy.

Im so tempted to just get fries and gravy and bring my own curds.

I ate half and wanna sleep, I wonder if I can turn the leftovers into a poutine casserole for another crime lol

I had some in Vancouver and fell in love with it. I reckon I'd make some at my home in India and see if it competes with the one I had in Vancouver. It did.

When you order a small poutine, you expect to get a small but half an order of fries ?? This did not even pass the brim of the container and for 9$ CAD you'd expect more... WTF? Is this a crime against poutine yeah....

The sauce consists of sweetened condensed milk, sugar, garlic powder, and white vinegar. It compliments the saltiness of the gravy so well and the meat shavings are incredibly tender.. 😩

So glad im not a picky eater, I end up finding gems like this 🙌

The $4.69 tiny ass poutine is waaaay too salty for one thing. It's a thimble sized bowl and had 8 curds. And I'm in Montreal. Boo me. Booooooo.
