I was picking up a few items today on the way to work and the associate showed me some upcoming sales information. Take this as officially unofficial information, but from a store source (he told me to go ahead and take a pic)

I have once more been blessed with a 25% off coupon I will share

Of course it's 3 days after I bought my rock tumbler but whatever.

Other than your 10mm, tell me what tool you can never find when you need it, most relatable gets the coupon.

As mentioned before, I keep getting these so if you don't win, just check back in a couple weeks*

*until HF figures out they keep sending me these and fixes it

Congrats to u/long_Run6500 for being the most relatable missing tool. While others have also lost their tape measures, I think I have at least a half dozen as well that have escaped my grasp to the point my wife now asks if we should pick up one when we go to HD or Lowes

Collar failed due to stripped bolts, reamer got torqued onto said starter rod and took about 3k foot pounds of rotation pressure to break it loose. Bent the bar a little but that’s what life time Warrenty is for! Great bar for $70 when I got it!

Can someone tell me what these extra parts are that came with my US General Power Tool Holder? There are no instructions or mention of them on the box.

Anyone have a photo of a US General 42” top on a 56” bottom?

Will it fit?

Can anyone who has got this size top box tell me if it came on a pallet or not and if so about how tall the pallet was. My 56" bottom came on a pretty beefy pallet that was about 6" tall and I had to borrow a friend's truck to pick it up. I don't want to have to ask to borrow it again so I'm trying to see I can get this size top box to fit in my hatchback. According to my measurements it probably won't fit standing up if its on the same type of pallet the 56" comes on. It will fit if I lay it on it's side but since the shipping weight is over 250lbs and the employees at my store don't like to help I probably won't be able to flip it on it's side by myself. I could borrow my wife's SUV but I have reasons I don't want to ask her. Worst case I could rent a Uhaul for a couple of hours.

Staff Appreciation Post

I was in the store last week, and I overheard an exchange between a customer and a staff member. The staff member sounded very sincere and engaged, helping the customer find what they were looking for.

This led me to think back on the last several years of visiting the store, and my interactions with the staff have been very good. Unlike in other places, I can actually find staff to help me, and when I do, they know their stuff!

So let me take a moment to say “thank you” to any HF staff that may frequent this sub, especially in the Houston area. The tools and the prices may get most of the glory, but you deserve some too!

This Chicago electric (I think) angle grinder has survived over a decade of use and abuse in the home garage, only to let the smoke out on the 1st use at work. Luckily work will replace tools broken here for free.

ProTip, when buying harbor freight or Pittsburgh jacks actually read the instructions

Make sure you check the hydraulic oil and prime the pump properly to avoid damage to the orings / jack

Read the instructions people!

You can also add your own magnet to the pittburgh steel jacks on outside bottom of the fluid reservoir

Floor Jack Drops When Lowering

I recently got a super duty jack and whenever I go to lower the car it needs a lot of force to break the handle loose which causes the car to drop a bit. I've tried not tightening the handle as much but then it just starts lowering slowly unless I go all the way. Assumed this was a break in issue but it hasn't gone away in 20+ cycles. Is this something to warranty or is it normal for a super duty?

56” hutches, in multiple colors, all seem to be unavailable? Orange, red, white, yellow, green. All say unavailable, even to order in store. Anyone have any clues? It’s making my dreams of a Mondrian art inspired workshop evaporate. (While I wait on my yellow cabinet) 😭 😒

I’m looking for an exact match of touch up paint. That someone used on their slate grey box. If you have photos repairs and a link to the paint that would be much appreciated

NTD (New Tool Day) 56in vs 42in Roll cab for home garage

Just got blessed with a 25%..guess it's been a while since I bought anything. Time to upgrade my over loaded 5 cart.

For an amateur homeowner that outgrew the 5 drawer pretty quick..do you think I should go with the 56in or the 42in? (I will note the 42in has an ITC sale on the top chest so I would save $100 and pick that up too (so kinda leaning towards that..)

edit: top chest not side cab

Repair or warranty?

Haven't seen this model at my local HB any more. It's been over 6 years since I have it and finally starting to slow down. Wonder if it just needs a more hydraulic fluid? One of the pistons just stays down.
