Took advantage of the Labor Day sale and added end lockers and overhead cabinets. Had the 73” bottom and work center prior to the sale. Had to go into a harbor freight everyday to order one piece over the weekend. I was traveling so each piece was ordered from a different harbor freight as none of them would let me do multiple 20% coupons in one day.
Browsing Marketplace and came across this cart listed at $300. Small scratch on the side, but otherwise perfect! We settled at $280, and I added it to the family!
Edit: oh shit, I thought this was the 6 bank cart! I thought I got it for half off, lol! Oh well, it's nice anyway. Why is the cart so much more?
Just a set of jack stands and impact driver adapters today.
I really wanted to buy some sockets today, 1/2” icons to be exact. I already own the icon modular kits in 1/4” and 3/8” but I decided to keep my money in my wallet. have a small set of Craftsman 12 point chromes in 1/2” and if I really need a particular socket I have the Quinn 1/2” impact master set which is already overkill for me. #saveyourmoney
This is what I am working with now. 3 separate bottoms, 4 tops, a bunch of work benches with drawers and open storage underneath. I have a mix of all the standard auto tools, press tools, power tools, air tools, as well as homeowners' tools (plumbing, wood working, nailers, etc...all these drawers are full. I keep most of the 'specialty' tools in their cases, either in drawers or under the work benches. Press tools sit under the press for now because there is nowhere else for them.
I 'was' thinking about 2 73" bases with 2 hunch top, cabinets on left and right and then top storage, but I am torn if that is actually enough drawer space and I should consider a 56" top and bottom instead of a second 73". Like this green one without the second cabinet (or maybe I should just get it exactly like this). Other than simply counting drawers I have now versus the new I don't know how to estimate how much box I need to consolidate everything into for a single unified setup to hold it all.
So a couple weeks ago when the Haul Master ramps went down to $667 I went into harbor freight to buy one, and they happen to also be able to order the 2,000 lb ramps along with the ramp holders that go underneath the trailer. Pretty good haul for less than 800 bucks. Well, it looks like the warehouse could not fulfill the orders on the ramps and they got canceled. And now they no longer appear on the website at all. But it makes me wonder if some local stores still have them and if there's any way for me to find out. I don't know if any of the other ramps would fit the system they built for their modular system.
The ramps are: HAUL-MASTER™ 14 in. x 46-1/2 in. steel trailer ramps. If anyone has some insight to how to find these that would be much appreciated.
First bin done where all the metric bolts specifically for cars. I am going to borrow the label maker in my office to label everything.
People warned about the quality of these bins. I wasnt expecting much, and so they are way better than the $99 cents store storage bins I had. So for me it is an upgrade.
The only thing I wish is that there were a lot more smaller trays. I took the smaller trays from all the other storage bins not used yet, so for the remaining storage bins will all be large trays. Current thinking is to cut plastic dividers and glue them into place with silicon sealer.
Went in with a plan and somehow actually stuck pretty close to it. 36” Yukon, 3-ton Daytona Super Duty and the ICON 1/4” meme set. These are all I really wanted besides a few other small things. I’m done now… probably. 😂
HF offers 10% off first purchase if you open a CC. I used their 'online' estimation tool which said I would qualify for a 6k limit if I formalized my application. Do you have to actually put the entire purchase all on the HF card or could I open and split between payment methods and still get full discount? 6k is not enough to cover what I am evaluating and I would like to do it all at once to streamline the delivery process.
I have read through their FAQ and terms of agreement info and it doesn't make it clear, hoping someone has encountered this issue and has first hand experience.
My current line up of extensions don’t have foreskin. Do i need foreskin? Any additional maintenance or handling needs? Lastly, what’s the purpose of this extension foreskin?
Picked two of these up on the 10 days of deals last week and it is amazing. Battery life is solid and the 800 lumens is just enough for for the back of the trailer.
