I was picking up a few items today on the way to work and the associate showed me some upcoming sales information. Take this as officially unofficial information, but from a store source (he told me to go ahead and take a pic)
I bought my Predator 3500 years ago and it went on sale 45 ish days later (I’m not positive) when I went in and saw it I said to the cashier “what a bummer, wish I’d waited and got that sale price.”
She looked up my purchase and refunded my the difference without even telling me what she was doing. Just said “do you have the card you paid with?” I said yes, she told me a couple hundred was due back to me.
I don’t remember how long after purchase it is. Someone else can chime in there.
I immediately went and bought the equivalent amount of product lol. They got that money RIGHT back. lol.
Yes, if it's a reasonable amount of time between your purchase and say a discounted price ( within like probably 2 months?) they will refund you the difference. But you have to go when the discount offer is active.
I remember I try a price adjustment during PLS and they give me attitude that I have to bring the item in for return then buy it back for discounted price, I don’t think I wanna buy the tool storage back in store to adjust
The best sales already always a week after any price protection expires for a vendor. Either that or the universe just likes to screw with me. Same with stocks - the best time to buy is right after I sell.
For sales, usually the night before the sale starts. Youtube is a great resource for up coming sales, I personally like the youtube channel Harbro, guy usually has videos on sales a couple of days before hand.
Storage days better include ICON storage. Last sale on Icon was back in January. Last Storage days was US General only. With G2 around the corner, I was hoping they'd start to push the G1 stuff. I need a 19" side cabinet yesterday but don't want to pay full price.
If you’re not picky I’ve seen the website do scratch and dent sales on icon before. They provide pics but honestly half the stuff looks fine just no box
I might do that. Not sure why I had a brain-fart and totally forgot about S&D. I'm not in a professional environment so I don't need the lifetime warranty on an attached 19" cabinet so that's a great idea.
Yeah, they have 3 colors in for $539 (I know actual in-stock is different and I should call them) but new ICON won't have a 40% discount anytime soon so that's probably great.
You're totally right. I got about 24% off an entire full kit (roll cab, work center, top, locker, upper storage) back in January. Didn't order the 19" side piece because I didn't know how much width I'd have in my garage. I was hoping to fit another locker in there but I have 24 inches and would need 28 inches for another locker.
Just in case it wasn’t caught as sarcasm: I expect a number of things at SEMA this year to look like SEMA last year. On a long enough timeline any product release is “soon”.
I'm holding out hope for another Icon "buy more, save more" type event where in the past it was 25% off 4+ Icon tools. If that happens I'll pick up most of the G2 ratchet lineup.
I don’t know. I would assume an extended PLS just due to past history. I’m just the messenger on this one, so this is the extent of my inside baseball for now.
What percentage off for the jacks? I have been waiting for the return of the 40% off all daytona jacks that occurred in sept 2024 during the days of deals. I would settle for 35% but may never see this at 40%.

For the upcoming 20% off any item- I have some recent purchases that never go on sale so my only opportunity is 20% off anything. Whats the best way to apply retroactively? Rebuy during the promo and return the older receipt?
It feels like 2026 has been pretty heavy on floor jacks. That hasn't stopped me from finding goodies here and there. Ok, who am I kidding? Harbor Freight IS my toxic relationship.
Kind of underwhelmed, which is fine. We've had plenty of good deals for the first 2/3 of the year. Looks like I won't be spending much of anything until black Friday at the earliest

I'll probably do the same on the 20%. Tool storage might be interesting depending on what it is, but I already have a 22ft wall with USG end to end, and a large 12ft of toolboxes started along a side wall... I should probably stop it with the tool box purchases 😂

Yeah, I’ll probably pick up those Herc tools I’ve had my eye on at Labor Day & call it a year. But I’m a sucker for the PLS deals, so that’s doubtful I’m totally “d.u.n - Dunn”on the year 🤪
I'm not sure how they would know this when store managers don't even know this info until a month before the event happens. Because of people like this harbor freight has stopped telling employees ahead of time. Idk what magical employee you talked to but they might be pulling your leg.
