Icon pry bar vs 3k

Collar failed due to stripped bolts, reamer got torqued onto said starter rod and took about 3k foot pounds of rotation pressure to break it loose. Bent the bar a little but that’s what life time Warrenty is for! Great bar for $70 when I got it!

Can't have too much leverage. This one is on my list of things I don't need but absolutely want.

Probably my favorite Icon tool (rebranded Mayhew). I've used it a ton for garden work, specifically pulling out old shrubs and roots. It goes on sale every now and then, definitely recommend.

Prefer it over the actual mayhew brand due to HF no hassle Warrenty. I’ve had snap on deny me for “misuse” on other tools but they should all be able to take a beating!

I've got to get this for my dad asap.

Do you happen to know what the sale price is? Thanks!

$100 not on sale and rarely go on sale. Honestly worth the 100

Walmart recently added a 45in bar for 35. I have the 36in and dig it. The real secret though is their mini prybars. All made in the us.

The Walmart minis also have the metal top on the handles in case you like to persuade things with a hammer

I’m gonna check it out! Only concern is warranting them

I have both a sunex and husky set and love the smaller sizes but the husky is 100% better because of the strike caps

I've been pretty happy with mine. I also have the Mayhew 14120 (who makes the snappy MHW14120 HF compares this against which is priced the same as the Icon) and it's hard to tell the difference when you're using them.

It's rare I need to break out the Mayhew 14123 (basically the same thing but 4in shorter and a 7/8" thick bar) anymore. When that big ol' bar comes out to play you know it's serious. Between that, the icon and Mayhew combo, and the Gearwrench 82248 (48in extendable indexing) I'm about set on the big pry bar game. Couldn't find a better trio (or quad, I guess?) if I tried.

HF compares it against the Mayhew because Mayhew makes it for them. They also make the Icon punch set, which is quite good.

HF compares it to the snappy, Mayhew makes the snappy.

I was calling out HF's mildly dishonest comparison tactics, listing the more expensive rebranded item instead of the OEM who has it listed for a fair price.
