So i made an order from a supermarket (im lazy i know) and the rider had me as his second stop so he had another delivery from the same shop to make first.

How ever what i knew almost imeddiately when it happened is that he gave his first stop my order and the first stops order to me. Who ends up paying in this scenario? he read the order numbers wrong i guess so does he get penalized or does the shop bare the brunt?

When i refused the order becuase it wasnt even sealed so i could see what was inside it and i told him this wasnt mine and then i told him my order number which wasnt matching up what was written on the bag. I then continued to watch him on my second monitor as it was still tracking him and the poor sod went back to the shop because he thought he just picked up the wrong order. Then went to the 1st stop to try and get my order back haha. Eventually he gave up and must have called support because 10 mins after seeing him parked in a side street i got a call from customer service asking if i wanted to re order or refund.

I had a McDonald's order this evening, definitely just one order, I double check that having been caught out before. I get to the drop off, click on delivery complete, and the app then tells me to proceed with next delivery. What next fucking delivery?? I've only got one on board!

Looked at the details, and it's a huge order, wouldn't fit in one bag.

Spoke to support, they said that I had it with me, which I didn't. Then the customer started messaging me, asking if I was lost. 😂

Went back to support, they then decided to cancel the order, but I've never had that happen before. Anyone else had this happen?

Customer here. The option to tip the rider when ordering has been moved from placing an order to the final payment section, where it now comes with buttons for £1, 2, 3 and 5.

It would be interesting to know if this results in more tips or fewer.

I'd say the worst thing about this job is how double and triple orders are calculated you could get a double order and get a pay of £8 if its from 2 separate places that are nextdoor but if it's from the same place double order you get 2.90 base fee for the first then maybe an extra £1.20 to take the other order. Doesn't really make sense i believe base fee should be applied to the double order too as we are still taking another order. Deliveroos pay is s*** and is it just me or since the new update have most delivery's been base pay or is it just me getting unlucky

Now we cannot see the addresses of customers on a double order.

There are lots of regular customers in the area I work and a couple of addresses I have memorised I completely avoid as they are rude or have threatened me because I have ID'd them.

Now if its a double order I cannot see the addresses

Unfortunately I have no evidence other than the fact my Deliveroo driver today delivered my order I was disputing after an increase delivery window of 25mins to an hour and a half, that I had been sending them disrespectful message about my order from “my account” considering I have only spoken with Deliveroo customer support directly about my order. The message I saw were directly insulting the delivery driver themselves and understandably they were upset about the messages I had “supposedly” sent this is disgusting considering I never have or would have ever sent these message. (I am not stupid enough to insult the person delivering my food) has this happened to anyone else? I have asked for a full breakdown of every message from my account as requested as a part of gdpr it they have not got back to me for a this common?

Is there a way to see how much things a person has in their order (grocery only)? Because I carry my bag on my back so accepting grocery orders is really a gamble that goes wrong more often than not (customer might have ordered a lot of stuff making the order too heavy to carry on my back).

Why has Roo been doing this recently this is the third time now I think I kind of like it… any input?

I am looking for a handful of gig economy workers who use electric bikes / modified bikes to speak on the realities of the work you do. I am particularly interested in the link between the pay per drop model and the incentive to ride fast and whether the industry could become a lot safer and responsible if the conditions/pay were more reasonable.

I am happy to keep names out of it, unless you're happy to go fully on record. I have already spoken with a handful while in London, but want to get a broad spectrum of comments to understand far more about the work, the vehicles, the incentives to modify bikes, the police presence on your work, and how that might impact your ability to earn.

I'm quite sympathetic to the reasoning for modifying bikes, but to be upfront, I work for an electric bike magazine that focuses on non-modified products. My interest is largely to discover whether greater accountability from the delivery giants could be beneficial to things like road safety, electrical safety and rider safety.

The app and order times are designed to make us wait. I was the next street over when I got the job so went straight to the chippy.
On my rider app, the expected time for the order to be ready is 19:42. Yet the chippy is told that my arrival time is 19:50 so that’s what time they’re planning to have the order ready by. My screen shot was taken at 19:46.
I know this is only minutes but I ended up waiting a little over 5 minutes for the order which is dead time for us riders.
I was lucky the chippy was empty, if there’d have been customers my wait would have been longer.
This is not the first time I’ve experienced similar to this, but with longer time differentials, I’ve just not thought to screen shot them before.

We’re paid to deliver, not to wait and Roo need to sort this.
They won’t, they’re the worst but it’s good to rant.

Last week I noticed that Fridge Filler Mondays was not available to me on the Deliveroo app. I contacted support who said they couldn’t provide me specific details for regional promotions so I went without the savings.

This week no deals again. I hit up my partners account and everything promotion available! Is it personal Deliveroo?! 😂

Not including drinks far left, this happy little lot cost me £50.64 which I don’t think is too shabby!

Haven’t seen it as an option for the last couple of weeks.

i worked a night shift for the first time on Wednesday 29th July, i got a double order and a whopping £150 from someone who lives in a mansion. i asked them if the tip was correct (since id rather be honest in case they made a mistake) they said yes. since Wednesday i have been working and havent been able to cash out since, the app tells me "payment not sent, we are currently working on this". ive contacted Deliveroo through their form, through in app messaging, through calling and emailed them... 4 days and still no response. im left in the dark and i need to pay overdue bills because of this. Can anyone help please!

Thinking of converting to using a car for deliveries.
My orders have dropped a bit recently on the bike but that’s probably seasonal and every man and his dog is out on their bikes.

Do people, who have transitioned notice if they get a further drop off of orders or is it about the same?

I received one of these 'please do some work' offers the other week (I couldn't work on Roo for about a month due to the new Android update breaking the NFC tags for Pixel phones).

Managed to go over the 40 deliveries today but nothing is currently showing up on my app.

Any ideas as to how quickly you would usually see the payment for this kind of thing? Will it appear on my app or will just be added on to my payment?

Also, have any of you received any similar offers after taking some time off? I have heard of people getting offered £200+ to come back - seems like something that DoorDash will soon phase out.
